The staff at Marsh started out on a good foot. They helped out the family in a time of great shock. But then they blew it. 24 hours before the service they said they could only allow 25 people instead of 50. Even though the state put the 25 person restrictions in place for suburban COOK county. The funeral home is in LAKE county. One son and one daughter got to listen to the service in the parking lot.When asked why, the answer was that my ‘manager’ made the decision? Weak.Beware.

The unexpected loss of our mother was very painful and we had a hard time trying to take the next steps to plan her funeral services especially during this pandemic. The funeral director met with us and was very compassionate and worked with us and assured us that he would be with us til the end of this painful process and he did! The funeral home was very clean, they followed the protocol to keep everyone that was allowed to come in safe. At the cemetery the director stayed with us til the end to make sure everything went smoothly and to answer any questions we had, in that precise moment we didn’t feel so lonely. We we’re all very pleased with the service and compassion we received that I have decided that when my time comes, if I still live here, I want to have Marsh Funeral Home take care of my final arrangements. Thank you for walking us through these extremely painful moments!

Truly disappointed with the staffing here. It’s one thing to have to go through a funeral, we all anticipate that being hard and difficult. However upon the end of my fathers serivice I was asked to leave the room so his wife could have a moment alone with him. I think it’s pretty sad that his own children were not asked if they would like a moment alone with their father before they finished pushing us all out.

Everything was great, they did a nice job for my fathers wake.
