My Aunt is in this program and they are absolutely terrible to her. Her supervisor Kim does nothing to help her either. She recently had a stroke and could not get around easily and yet they put her in an upstairs apartment where she CRAWLS up and down the stairs with no help from her staff. They don’t help her with her laundry so she sits in her dirty clothes (it’s been about 2 or so months since she’s last had her laundry done). When we spoke to the Executive Director, Jennifer Keatley, about this she said, and I quote “Well, the next step for her would be a homeless shelter.” I seriously cannot get over this. For a program to claim they “offer programs for people with disabilities in CT to help them develop employment skills, find accessible housing and access assistive technology” yet do nothing to this sort??? You guys disgust me.
