We worked with Mark to refinish our wood floors and had a great experience. They did an excellent job. Very responsive in coordinating the work and giving us an estimate. Showed up as scheduled. They did the work while we were on vacation to minimize impact to us and were very trustworthy being in our home. So far they are the best contractor I have worked with in any trade.

Shortly after reaching out to inquire about a job, Michigan hardwood flooring contractors had me on their books and were very accommodating with scheduling.They were able to pick up where the other company had abandoned the job and match everything effortlessly.The men that came out were very friendly and willing to answering every silly question I had. They really knew what they were doing, executing the job quick and efficiently. Buddy and his partner refinished my hardwood floors about three weeks ago and they look great! The best part was the service. Buddy was an awesome communicator and always punctual. If he said he would be to the house at a certain time... please believe, he was there! Overall satisfied.

We are very happy with the job Michigan Hardwood Flooring Contractors did to refinish our hardwood! Mark came out and gave us an estimate with no pressure. We liked that Mark was very easy to get in touch with if we had any questions and would return calls promptly. We scheduled our job for the next available time which was a bit more than a month away. The weekend before Mark gave us a call just to remind us and let us know what time the crew would arrive.Right on time Bruce and Kyle showed up and immediately got to work. On day 1 they sanded, day 2 they sanded some more, vacuumed, water popped the floor and applied the stain (we went with Jacobean) and lastly, day 3 they applied a sealer and two coats of water-based polyurethane. We went with water-based polyurethane on Marks recommendation and because we were still living in the house it has a faster dry time and less odor (it was almost non-existent). They use only Bona brand polyurethane which after researching is the best out there. Yes, of course, our house was dusty after the job but they did their best to vacuum and clean up and even took the sawdust away with them. Floor sanding is not an easy job and Bruce and Kyle worked very hard and know their craft well.Thank you Bruce, Kyle, and Mark! Our floors look great! We wont hesitate to give you guys a call again for anything flooring from now on.

Our floors always had carpet on them so when we took the carpet up, we were delighted that we had hardwood floors underneath. Unfortunately, they were in pretty rough shape. Based on a recommendation from a friend who also used MHFC (and hisfloors were GORGEOUS!), we decided to use them. Ken and Buddy were extremely friendly, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable gave us many choices of stains, explained everything thoroughly, and demonstrated what our floors would look like. They did an amazing job--we absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE our new floors. We wish we could give six stars!!

Professional and customer service driven. I called on Easter Sunday, just with a follow-up question. I wasnt expecting to get a call back, just left a VM.Within 30 minutes of VM, I received a call from Buddy, one of the guys who did the resurfacing on floors. He answered my questions and even offered to come out if I needed anything more. Buddy and his team did a great job. I will recommend them to anyone needing work on floors.

Michigan Hardwood Flooring Contractors refinished our bedroom floor while we were out of town over the holidays. Not only did they do a wonderful job but they left the place spotless, you’d never know they were even here except that our floor is perfect! Also, you can’t even tell that our hallway was completed 4 years ago, it’s seamless!

Our floors look great, however, was not pleased with the condition our house was left in upon returning and also had some issues with one of the employees. Ian was very pleasant and was helpful by bringing in packages that were left on our porch while we were away; and Mark was apologetic after a minor misunderstanding, which was appreciated. Overall, were very happy with the outcome but the experience itself was not ideal.UPDATE 8/28/2020:My husband and I have begun to notice several spots on the floor that have already started to wear off due to either poor stain application or poor finishing (we requested to have the most durable finish). Considering our floors were done only two months ago, we would expect not to have this problem so soon. Disappointed.

Can’t say enough good things about this company!! Getting my floor refinished when I first started the project was a nightmare. I hired a guy initially who told me that my floors couldn’t be refinished bc of all the stains and scratches in them, so he decided on his own that he would put laminate floor on top. He then left without completing the job. I then hired a second guy to finish the laminate floor and they again turned out terribly, so I removed them and did something I shouldn’t have. I decided to refinish my own floors (mind you, I’ve never done this before but watched some YouTube videos). They didn’t turn out right at all. They were rough and edges were sanded deeper. I called Michigan hardwood flooring company and they came the same day to look at the job. They assured me that it could be fixed, and they were absolutely right. I called Wednesday and they were out by Friday to start. It took them about four days and the floors came out beautifully. They were prompt, reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They also have me a great price. I am very happy with the end product and would recommend this company to anyone.

I had originally decided on laminate flooring, but once I pulled the carpet up in my living room and dining room, I realized that I could save a little money by refinishing my own floors. I was holding my breath the entire 3 days hoping that I made the right decision and now that I have seen the finished product, I am so pleased! The crew at Michigan Hardwood Flooring Contractors produced just what I had envisioned and hoped for! From beginning to end Mark and his crew were extremely professional and courteous. Most important, the quote I received for sanding, staining, and installing shoe molding to both my living room and dining room was fair and reasonable. I went back and forth on what stain I wanted for the floors, even changing my mind a final time right before they were about to stain the floors. I asked Ken if he would be mad if I changed the color and he responded Of course not! we want you to be happy! That type of customer service is hard to come by. Renovating a home can be stressful, but dealing with professionals like Mark and his crew made this part of the process so much easier for me!

We just bought a house and ripped out a pocket door, the only person I knew I wanted to fix my floor was Mark. He sent over one of his employees and filled in the floor and matched those boards perfectly with the rest of our floors. Great people. Great work. I didnt actually use them for my floors; however, they were prompt and professional for the estimate. They were just unable to meet my timing requirements, which is a good thing, it means they are busy, which means they do good work. At the very least, I would consider them for an estimate.

VERY friendly, professional and affordable. One of the owners (Andrew) came out for an estimate and was very transparent, gave me a quote and explained what would need to be done to lace in new hardwood where there was just subfloor/tile to create a cohesive look throughout the main living room/hallway and bedroom. He gave me a detailed timeline of what they would be doing each day and I even receive pics of the progress, plus they even finished a day ahead of schedule! NO mess left behind, they cleaned up afterwards and even took what needed to be thrown out to the end of my driveway for garbage pickup! Mark was able to level a floor with a hump, and then match the new hardwood perfectly with the original floor. The refinished floor was excellent and was done with a minimum of disruption or dust.
