The store is cool, they have a good selection for your computer needs. Went there to get some supplies to upgrade my computer knowing what I needed but was told by staff (whom I trusted was more knowledgeable) to get another item. When I got home I did not need what they told me to purchase and now Im stuck with it because they do not take returns. Bad first experience. Might go back in the future if I absolutely need something. Worth checking out but make sure to double check their recommendations.

I had a very positive experience with this place and am so glad they are located nearby. The perfect shop for getting all those little computer things that Best Buy probably wont have.I actually needed a repair too, and I called a couple shops about my problem and got some downright silly or disinterested responses but East Wind just said well bring it on in, well take care of it whatever it is. I was able to speak to the gentleman working on it (Jeff) whenever I wanted, he guided me towards a solution and I didnt pay an arm and a leg. All the guys around the counter and floor were polite and helpful as well. Definitely a great shop to have around the neighborhood.

Customer service could use a little personality

They are charging $800+ above MSRP for the 3070 and 3080 and almost ~$1000 for the 3090.I dont care who you are, this is scalping. I could see maybe $150 or $200 more but not this markup.

It was a pleasant experience I took my computer in one day and it was ready the next day. I was happy with the service.

They did not have what they told me over the phone 30 minutes before I get there. When I do get there I find out that the thermal paste that they’re selling/using is fake and they are selling it for an extreme price, to make matters worse the brand that they told me over the phone they had was “in the back” and it was already opened, used and fake. Wasted my time with one phone call and they completely lied to what’s in the store. I’m shocked it’s still open.

When computer problems occur, its hard to know who to call, if you have never needed to call for help.Based on their reviews, I decided to go with Eastwind Computers. They were fast, responsive and fixed my virus ridden computer in two days...for $60 dollars. I was so impressed and grateful! When I had a question, they were able to remote-in and help me. The staff was helpful, nice on the phone and when I was in the store. Qouted me a price over the phone to repair my laptop screen. The price was lower than other repair shops in the area. The turn around was quick as well. I will definitely come back to them for my other repairs.

Staff is a little cold, they dont support/carry any AMD products. If you bring AMD up they will just tell you they dont carry AMD. That aside they have a great selection and are close to my house.

I am now the proud owner of a spiffy little laptop that is crazy fast and loaded with memory waiting to be filled! (And oh how I will fill it. I always do.) But this wasn’t my first purchase from Eastwind Computers.Bryce, their resident genius who, in the name of “great work ethic,” has been known to diagnose computer ills remotely (“remote” as in while in Alaska!) built me a desktop computer a year ago. My first “from scratch” computer! It is a wonder and I was thrilled.So a month ago, I returned for an updated laptop. My old laptop was clunky and slow and so unlike these lightweight models they have now. But that old laptop was loaded with memories. And I didn’t want to lose a single one. I had been working on a file for the past month, when I went to open it and found that my last months work had been lost and the file had some how reverted back to the original document. I called up Eastwind Computers to see if there was anyway to recover the file with all my current work. It took about 10-15 min. of trouble shooting when Bryce was able to get my file back! I have been going to Eastwind Computer store for over 15 years. They are always nice and easy to talk to. I have always been very happy with the work that they have done. When I give my computers to them, I have gotten my equipment back within a few days or even the next business day. Their prices have always been better than other stores. Yeah guys that run the counter I know an incredible amount about computers their pricing is not too terrible and I have had them fixed three computers for me Im one of them was A Company Computer they got it back to me within a day or two and they were super fair with me I would recommend them over anything Im in the process of doing a gaming build with them they also sell new and used equipment there they also sell Hardware and Parts and all sorts of stuff really good place been around for a long time from what I come to understand I recommend them to anybody

I literally asked can you fix this by the 4th (when college starts) and they said yes. Instead, two days later, and a few days before school started, I got a phone call saying they didnt have the right tools. I found a friend who did the repair for a third of the price and within a few hours.

Very knowledgeable and friendly people. I have been with Eastwind Computers for a long time and recommend their service to all my friends. They always solved any computer issue when I called them.

Built my own computer, set up BIOS and OS but needed help with digital driver updates and installs. So I took it to Eastwind. Greeted by a nice lady and was helped right away. Got my comp back the next business day in working order all user friendly and such. Payed $30 to get on the bench and $30 for digital driver update and install. Probably spendy for my situation but no issues so far and quick to get me back my PC.

I have done business with Eastwind for 20 years or so. They recently helped me with a problem over the phone. This week Im in new mexico and they helped my friend with a similar problem. Kudos Eastwind. I highly recommend them.

My dad took in the family computer to have a new graphics card put in to work with our new monitors, he later called and asked them if they could add an extra Ethernet port. They called him back regarding the graphics cards telling him that converter cords would be the cheaper option, he agreed. On Saturday I picked up the computer and the new accessories, when I got home I realized that they hadn’t gotten the right thing for the Ethernet. After plugging in the computer and connecting the new cords to the monitors, nothing happened, I switched back to my temporary one monitor and saw that the computer was luckily still work, but the cords they gave us were the wrong ones. After telling them exactly what needed to be done, nothing got done.

Dropped our laptop and it wouldnt turn on. So much could have been wrong with it. We took it in and it was fixed the next day relatively cheaply. The people were friendly If we need anything else we will be going here again

I went to Eastwind to have my laptop repaired as one of the fans was malfunctioning and making a really loud buzzing noise. I was told that theyd clean out the fan and if need be, replace it. I was given a quote on how much replacing the fan would cost. They did the repair fairly quickly, within a couple days, but when I went to pick up the laptop they lost my power cord. I was given a used cord they had in the store but I returned it and asked for a better one because the one they first handed me was in bad shape with significant wear to the cord that exposed the wires in some places. When I turned my laptop on at home, the fan was still making a loud noise, only not quite as loud as before. It turns out they only cleaned the fan and did not replace it, but cleaning it clearly did not solve the problem, so I paid $90 for basically nothing. I emailed them about this and never got a response. Although the people there were friendly, the service I received was terrible and unprofessional. I will have to go somewhere else to get my laptop properly fixed.Edit: They called me a few weeks later after reading my negative review and offered a full refund, to replace the fan, and offer me a new power cord. They claimed they never saw my email and I assume that they are telling the truth. They told me that they do not like unhappy customers and I appreciated the fact that they contacted me and wanted to reconcile my less than pleasant experience. I figured my experience must have been something of a fluke. Im glad to know that Eastwind cares enough about customers to do this.

Guys do a great job of taking care of all of our work computers and server

The most honest business I have ever dealt with. They fixed my Best Buy purchased ASUS computer for 1/3 the price Best Buy quoted.Thats when I found out that if I had originally purchased an equivalent computer from Eastwind, It would have been a better one at a cheaper price and would have come with a 3 year warranty compared to a one year warranty from Best Buy .Best Buy quoted $330 to fix a problem that did not exist. Eastwind charged $120.00 to fix the real problem. Eastwind could have charged me the same price and I would not have known the difference. Plus their analysis fee is $30.00 compared to the Best Buy Geek Squad of $70.00

Chris and his team are downright topnotch. They gave me advice so I can repair my laptop, well I couldnt all the little pieces needed for repair,he told me to bring it in and he will take care of me. They did laptop is up and running and I didnt have to spend an arm and a leg, thank you Eastwind, you guys are truly one of kind, highly recommend, take your computer here you wont regret it.

I had this at a 1 star review because they didnt perform the job I paid them to do. Im changing it to 3 stars for two reasons; the first is that they called me to talk about the review. The second reason is because they refunded me my money. That being said, they dont go the extra inch let alone the extra mile. I went to a small business because Im a firm believer that if you dont do your best youll be out of business and I was disappointed that this didnt hold true here. If youre having technical problems with your computer and youve already done some troubleshooting yourself, this place is probably not going to do anything you havent already done. If you need something basic like a specific part or advice on building a computer Im sure theyre fine but thats about all I would trust them with.

Eastwind has never let me down. Ive been taking all of my business to them for at least 10 years. In spite of my many ignorant questions & screw-ups they have always treated me respectfully & as a valued client. Ive referred many friends to them & havent heard a complaint.I just had my most devastating crash ever. Somehow I was thrown from Windows 10 all the way back to Windows XP. My Printer & Copier failed me at the same time. I was certain that Id finally done so much damage that any repair or retrieval of my data was hopeless. I was never so greatful to be wrong. Not only was Eastwind able to restore my data, they even got my Printer working (thats not a service they normally offer). Theyve always been generous with extra little services, & they didnt even charge me for the Printer work!The atmosphere of the shop has changed somewhat, since one of the previous owners & his wife retired, but they still provide the same expertise & excellent customer service.

I consider myself fairly computer savvy but after spending half a day trying to swap out my old drive with a new SSD drive and add a second monitor to my office computer I decided my time was more valuable and took my computer to these guys. Roger went through my system and updated everything, cloned my drive and sold me an old graphics card to run the dual monitors. The price was way lower than I would have expected and he had my system back in one day. I then took my high end home PC to him that my kids have been using to game on, it had been crashing and one of the three monitors would go on and off occasionally. Again my system came back running like new, updated and everything working like a top. Cant recommend these guys enough.

Been there for quite a while already. Its quite cheap prices are unexpected and very nice.

It was going good until I got it from them and then the power button was fried and the were was a RAM and Motherboard Failure and I tested all of it before to make sure It was not a DOA and It all worked and they screwed up my computer.Please Note: This was a 5 Thousand Dollar Computer and They gave no refund. DO NOT BUYFROM EASTWIND COMPUTERS!!!

They built me a beastly PC for 500 bucks cheaper than the places where I live in Vancouver WA. They are all very friendly and the owner Roger was very knowledgeable and honest. I even had technical mother board chats with him and he knew his stuff. Eastwind doesnt charge ridiculous labor fees like other places and they dont charge deposits before they will do anything for you.If you live in OR and are considering this place, go here. If you live in WA across the river from Gresham/Portland, do yourself a favor and make the drive across the river. They will save you a lot of money. Here is the bottom line: Eastwind Computers = No deposits, pretty much no labor fees, no sales tax, awesome service.

Had an Asus laptop that had been giving me grief for weeks and i tried everything. I took it in there and they were great. Friendly, helpful, and after initially fixing the problem they also found additional startup problems and fixed them as well. While Eastwind was unable to diagnose my computer, their customer service grew to be exceptional.At first I almost thought they were mad at me for coming in for a diagnosis than returning when I had the same problem. But, when I came back today, the lady behind the desk was so sweet and apologetic, it was impossible to stay mad. She was apologizing that they could not find anything through all the things that they looked at and checked, while at home my laptop is still having problems that cause it to shut off entirely and not charge on occasion. They even offered that if I needed to come back sometime soon for the persisiting problem, that I was welcome back to have them look at it again.I am diappointed that my laptop cannot be diagnosed or possibly fixed, but they treated me not only like a customer, but a friend and a person. I appreciate that.

We use these guys where I work... great service, not pompous or arrogant like other computer techs. The AC power cord/supply to my flat screen monitor just went out, so I shot them a picture of it asking if they had any replacements that matched the specs of the power supply cord that went out on me. Just received a call saying they think they have something that will work... I asked them how much it was going to set me back, and they said NO CHARGE!!! We just had it laying around and I was welcome to it. I sure hope it works, but if not, this experience was valuable in that I know Eastwind Computers will be were I refer everyone I know from now on!
