I wish I could give zero stars. They ruined a vintage cashmere coat and didn’t tell me. I found out when I pulled it out of the bag at home. They had me come back and then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault because it was old. I had specifically told them it was vintage, and they said, “well, we didn’t write it down.” I was treated very rude by the woman in the office who said she didn’t want to deal with me and they basically said that it was already ruined and they wouldn’t do anything else. I had to insist on a refund for the cleaning and they barely gave it to me. Honestly, they should have paid for the coat. All around unprofessional. Do not take your vintage items there, they pretty much admitted they will take zero responsibility for ruining them and then blame it on you.

Would give five stars but when I picked up my wedding dress there was a tiny rip in it on the front. I noticed it right away. But the person who I was dealing with shrugged it off without a single care. Only stating that if they would have noticed it when they pressed my dress they would have fixed it free of charge. Um you could have offered to FIX it since it happened during your cleaning process.

My item is completely ruined and they will not compensate. I understand mistakes happen but how this was handled is unacceptable. **UPDATE** In response to your comments -you are wrong. This item was $258. 100% Wool Snuggle Me Organic, not $99. Wether I got this as a gift or bought it myself shouldn’t factor into the conversation at all because regardless, it is completely ruined. My review was fair in my opinion because you said you could clean it and when it was destroyed in your care, you refused to compensate me for my item. Yes, you did offer me $50 credit to you cleaners which I declined because I don’t trust that our items won’t be destroyed in your care. I never leave reviews but I believe your business should take into account that mishaps will happen on your end and you should compensate people accordingly. Yes, it will be a loss on your end but that’s something that I would pay out if I were in your shoes because I feel it’s the right thing to do.This continues to be such an unprofessional and unpleasant experience with basically being called a liar after my property was ruined in Hood Center Cleaners care. Ridiculous.

This is a new cleaners for me and I will be returning. The young woman who assisted me was friendly, kind, and efficient. I am elderly and disabled and really was flustered when I couldn’t find my cleaning ticket. She told me not to worry and located my cleaning without the ticket, smiling all the while. It’s been a long time since I’ve received such great customer service. By the way, the cleaning is great too and as I said, I will return!

I took my mothers white wedding reception dress to them. It has been in my dress up box for the last 20 Years. I have made mud pies in the dress, stained it with rust by leaving a little metal car on it outside in the rain for a couple days, and so many other silly things. I washed it and assumed it was pretty toast, but I love the dress and I thought it would be fun to try to get it cleaned up enough that I could dye it and wear it for my wedding reception. I was blown away at what came back to me. It is stark white again and only the two little rust stains near the hem show, but they are not noticeable when I have the dress on, so I have decided not to dye it. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with their work. :)

A nice little family run business - everyone I’ve met there is very kind and caring, they take the time to get to know you. More importantly the tailoring skills are top notch and done at a completely reasonable price.

Had three pair of long pants altered into shorts. The alterations were done fast and were ready when promised. After wearing one of the new shorts, I realized I had an issue with the length of one of my pockets. I returned the three pair the same day in hopes I could have the pockets shortened. I was expecting to leave them a day or more. To my surprise they fixed all three pockets WHILE I WAITED. Now I dont care where youre from, thats SERVICE. I know where Im taking all of my business. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Just picked up 100+ dollar dresses i had drycleaned. Every one of them was safety pinned to the hanger! Titally snagged around the pins. So upset right now! Their response we couldnt get them to stay on the hangers. Really i have no trouble using the sewn in straps made for pitting them on hangers.

My experiences with Hood Center Cleaners has been an absolute pleasure. I needed help getting some clothes altered and cleaned for an upcoming trip I am preparing for and they were able to provide great customer service, excellent prices and very quick turnaround on multiple ocassions - even sameday. I was able to get a few pair of pants adjusted, a couple shirt sleevles shortened and everything including jackets cleaned with excellent results. I am very pleased with the quality of work they provide and will be returning. If you need any cleaning services or alterations please give these guys a try.
