So a group of us, three of us decided to send a package to a friend we all have in common whose on deployment. One of our friends dropped the package off with another friend of ours and then today we’re all learning the reason why it hasn’t gone out is because whoever the guy was that helped her, had told her she was all set when in reality she wasn’t and needed to fill out a customs form. She shouldn’t even have to pay the fee for it to be mailed since this isn’t even her fault but the guys. How are you gonna work here a long time and not know what you’re doing. We’ll be filing a complaint if this doesn’t get resolved because this ridiculous.

I presented for a passport renewal on 5/18/21. I paid extra to express renewal. My application did not get reached until 6/6/21. Also the person assisting me, was rude and did not answer my questions when I asked specific questions. I do not recommend going to this post office for passport renewals.

Every single time this place disappoints. From not being able to open on time to horribly rude, condescending service, it’s a wonder anything gets accomplished.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff.This is probably one of the best post offices I’ve been to service wise.

By far the worst service Ive ever seen in my life. Had to wait over 30 min at the package window for someone to let me know if my package was there or not.

Im not sure what are the terrible reviews are about, Ive been there plenty of times and the staff was always pleasant and easy to deal with. Ive also found envelopes, labels, and gift boxes there for my packages. Never had an issue.

I informed to Post office to hold my mail starting 7/6 to8/3/2020. They didnt deliver on the day! I was waiting very important documents! Unfortunately, I can not write a nice review. !! Terrible delivery!! It happened the second time!!

The regular mail delivery has not been on time lately. there is always someone different. today we never got mail, and I had several bills that needed to go out that I left in the mailbox. I do not have a car this week and these bills needed to be paid. when will we get back to regular routine with the delivery of mail? this is horrible.

Today Angel helped us and her name says it all....she truly was an Angel. My children needed to renew their passports and there was a lot of paperwork and she was extremely helpful. She was patient and professional and extremely warm and cheerful. Her energy was quite contagious. She even remained calm when a patron was yelling at all of the staff. I was impressed with everyone there. You have quite a team. Angel was great with my kids and with us. We are thankful she made the entire process easy.

I have never had such difficulties getting one package in my entire life. I have called and been hanged up on as well left waiting on the phone to only call back and have the same person just act as if she did not just left me waiting on the phone for 18 min. Come on folks is 2020. get real !

I dont understand all the 1 reviews for Valley Rd post office. I would if they were for Glenville post office which is now closed. I have lived here for 35 years and Valley Rd PO has consistently been a great post office with friendly hard working people. If there is a bad postman it isnt necessarily the fault of the post office.

Fast, friendly service. Went to mail a couple cards, was in and out in less than 2 mins.

Don’t ship international, avoid Louise, he didn’t know what’s happening or how to print a simple receipt., yawing all the time like he hates his job; have to explain how to put a prepaid label in a plastic envelope to add it on the box I was shipping. They should invest in better training ASAP!

This place sometimes has long lines however this post office has the sweetest employee named Jose. Every single time I go into the post office he is always so helpful and nice. 5/5 for Jose.

Worse delivery service for packages. Almost every package I get is delivered to the wrong address or doesn’t get delivered until a week later. Best is when a package is out for delivery on a Saturday you can be sure that right after they close at 2 for the weekend it will be marked as delivered even if the carrier never showed up to my house at all that day. And then you can’t even get in touch with them until Monday when they just say they have to check with the carrier and it gets delivered that day surprise surprise. It’s a nightmare when you pay for expedited shipping through a seller like Amazon and then it takes longer than normal time to get to you and the seller looks at the tracking and says “It was delivered last Saturday”

This place is terrible. It’s a joke of incompetence. Employees must know what they are doing and try to be as non productive as possible. They all must have no fear of losing their jobs.

I have had to interact with Franklin and Maria at this post office in Greenwich for a few weeks now for our business. We send boxes of 60 lb plasters Priority and their service has been extraordinary. They have gone out of their way to make sure that the deliverys are made on time and that our packages get to their final destination in perfect condition. After reading some of these negative reviews I want to make sure that exceptionally fine work by these two individuals is also part of the record.

We go up to Maine for summer. Last year we had forwarding services for we we paid $18/week on the top of initial payment. The USPS forward to us whole packages of mail including junk mail on weekly basis.This year we were going to do the same. However the post office on Valley Road informed us that there is another way which is free. They will forward the mail to us minus junk. We thought it was great.It was a disaster!!!Not all the letters arrived. How do I know? I subscribe to USPS site that shows all the incoming mails. My 65th birthday card from the Philippines never arrived. Our property tax bill arrived way behind the forwarding period. My husbands doctors bill never arrived. He was so embarrassed to find out when he visited the office. The insurance bill never arrived. The insurance company called us asking whether we moved. We went to the insurance office to collect the undelivered bill. This morning i opened my email and found out that New York EZ pass asking me to call because they shut down my address due to undelivered monthly statement.When I was growing up we highly esteemed teachers as the giver of knowledge and postmen as the messenger of news (good or bad).I am writing this review because last year when I signed up for paid service, the first two weeks of packages never arrived and I had to drive 300 miles to Greenwich to find out my mail box was flooding with mail.I am utterly surprised and deeply disappointed at such a incapability of USPS on Valley Road.

States they attempted delivery, did not even ring the bell. I was home all day.Always happens. They like to falsify federal forms.

I got a notice at 5:30 pm, telling me they tried to deliver at 7:04 pm, an hour and a half later than when I got the notice. I was waiting for the package and there was no attempt made to deliver.The notice said the item was at the facility waiting for me to pick it up.I went there the next day, waited for quite some time, and was told my item was out for delivery and someone scanned the wrong code.Item is still missing.

My mail man Bob its such a responsible, friendly and nice guy! The guys who work at the post office its okay, but the guy name Sonny (I guess), unbelievable! He shouldnt be working with people, hes always in a bad mood!

Consistently the most sluggish service I have ever encountered - the two tellers, an older man and woman usually, are so lackadaisical even when there is a long line.At times I have been the only person in line but still somehow end up waiting 10 minutes. The older woman is incredibly bossy and condescending to clients - talking down to us like children who are incompetent. Quite shocking behavior which is unacceptable.My latest frustration is that I went to mail a return. The woman was fielding three people including myself to whom she variously calculated shipping costs and then sent somewhere else to write an address label. I wrote my address label and she told me to hand my package to whoever was available next, which I did and then left.A few hours later I was thinking of tracking my package when I realized I had no tracking number. I then realized this was the case because I had never actually paid for the postage and received a receipt with tracking information. This is partially my own fault, but at the same time, the woman told me explicitly to give my package to someone - essentially screwing up the entire process because I doubt that package will leave the warehouse without a scannable shipping label.Which means now Im going to have to go BACK there and force them to dig it up for me.This post office is an example to me of why USPS should no longer exist. If it werent for the polite, pleasant and efficient postal workers I encounter elsewhere, this would be my unequivocal opinion .

If it were possible to give negative stars I would. Does anyone down at the post office read these? Do they care? My mail gets put in my neighbors mailboxes, I get theirs. Weve started our own mail delivery to re-route mail and packages the mail carrier gets wrong. Weve complained, but it keeps happening, been going on years. Waiting in line at the office on Valley Drive could make Ghandi have a fit. One window open, line out the door, machine in the outer area not working. But they dont bother to put a sign on the non-functioning mail metering machine, so people fed up with the line try that instead and lose their money in it, it just doesnt print the postage half the time. So then those people come to stand in the other line, the one at the service window. Thats a joke too, you could stand there and ring the buzzer all day, no one comes. Ive gone to other towns to mail packages so I dont have to go to this place.

The one star is for Jose and Erik at the counter.They are always friendly and helpful. Other than that the manager? Woman with blonde hair that sound like she has balls in her mouth is rude. Rude as can be. Gives the glare of death. This woman should be kept behind the scenes at all times. Maybe shes the reason most employees are unhappy all day. Please get her out of there to save the lives of all residents. She makes paying customers feel as if we are in prison and she is a correction officer. I have had about 3 instances/ conversations, if thats what we shall call it?..with her. Have seen multiple customers deal with her. She makes peoples blood actually boil. Gosh, please get rid of her for the sanity of us all... I can go on,and on and on. Welcome to Greenwich post office Correctional. But thank God for Mr. Erik And Mr. Jose, if that is their correct names.

Absolutely terrible service. One gentleman there is courteous and efficient. Otherwise, there is little that is positive to say about this place.

I do not wish to give any stars. Calling for a question and having the man hang up on me is less than professional. They will be dealing with me in person tomorrow. I have never been so angry in my life!

You have a 50/50 shot of actually getting your package. 7 out of 14 missing. That’s the actual number. Never mind the time spent re-organizing those lost packages. Ship via any other service if this is your local package hub.

Absolutely thiefs, I sent a package with signature request to a customer and never got to her. when I called they told me they cant locate it cause the delivery guy is new and he didnt what his doing. until now the package still lost and I have to pay the customer back $325. This place does not deserve all of the 1 star reviews. The staff here has always been friendly to me. It also doesnt get super crowded, like other Post Offices around the country.

After calling them to inquire about international shipping.. they are generous enough to send me boxes at home and told me they pick it up after im done packing.

Dont let that single 5 star review fool you, this is the worst Post Office in existence and I do a great deal of mailing. My Wife and I actually fight over who has to go to this Post Office to ship things, its that bad. Lazy, Rude, Slow, Inept...I mean you cant find worse. If the USPS is looking to cut costs and close locations then Start Right here. Avoid at all costs. Drive 3 miles in either direction but, you dont want to go here, not even for a stamp.

Horrible. in the afternoon, sometimes there is only one teller, and a enormous line, and nobody cares. One of the tellers, actually take her time to explain the difference between a forever stamp and a regular one (with details). Meanwhile, people are waiting.....I wish the Post Office was privatized.

The facility is in the stone age... service is slowest I have ever seen. My mail is incorrectly delivered daily... mail thats not mine... my mail at the neighbors...literally daily. I really dont get it, its 2018.

Beware!!!!! If youre calling about a passport renewal, be ready for some rude lady with some accent i couldnt understand to speak like she has marbles in her mouth. When I asked her to kindly repeat something, she said that this was the last time and i had to work with her, how rude??? Absolutely THE WORST US POST OFFICE on the earth!They lose all the packages, dont know how to send fast Sedex to Brazil, mails come to my door from other address, you wait in line forever! Get rid of those people, please!!!!Also, the rudeness! They are so rude!!! So rude!

Friendly lady gave me a nice price on international shipping. Showed up the next day and was told it would actually be 3 times what I was originally told. Horrible service. Go elsewhere.

Hold mail not delivered on the day it was suppose to. Multiple times parcels from Amazon are not delivered to my house, but they claim they tried in order to satisfy Amazon and I get it next day. Lines are too long at all times. They lost multiple parcels to my address. This post office is not delivering the service it should.

This particular location has lost more than 1 package I shipped out. The management staff here are not helpful.
