Service overall was good. Instead of ~45 minute wait quoted, the driver arrived in about 75 minutes. Could have been worse. The driver was great, no problems there.

JR Towing was very courteous and professional. We live in Spartanburg and was were out at a function in Greenville. When we came out, we discovered the tire was flat. After calling numerous towing services to get a towing service that could put air in a tire, I lucked upon JR Towing.He was the only one, of all the calls, to provide this service. He got there super fast, after being concerned about our safety because the area was not well lit. He pumped up our tire and we were on our way home in less than 15 min, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend his service to anyone.

We called and asked do you tow motorcycles. We was told yes. 65$ plus 4$ per mile. I repeated it and then told my buddy who was on the speaker phone giving information to them also heard 65$ plus 4$ per mile. I told my buddy to go to ATM and get at least 80$ out. Driver gets there and now it’s 85$ plus 4$ per mile. I called back and the lady was persistent that she told me 85$ plus. Have them text you the price before you use them. One positive, they do have a great system to tow bikes without doing damage.

Called at 1102. Got a pick up time of 1206pm, then 1238pm, then 104pm, then 117pm. Really people if you don’t want to be in business close down or at least BE HONEST!!! Will notify AAA of the poor service and will cancel membership if they don’t get rid of the bad vendors.

Ended up I didnt need their service but what experience I did have was great.

AAA sent JR Towing to my rescue. They arrived earlier than what was quoted/expected. They went right to work on solving my flat on a SUV. They had me back on the road again within 15 minutes. Very nice guys! I would call them again!

My BMW M3 has to be towed recently and my main concern was how low to the ground it was. These guys showed up with some AMAZING equipment that I’ve never seen before, made it look easy, and got my car towed to the dealership without a scratch. No damage to my car and they were very prompt and on time. 100% satisfied with these guys!

The worst experience ever. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Car was towed because the City of Mauldin dont like the patrons of a bar I was visiting. Thats whole story in its self.....but after the car was removed of course I was looking for the place that it was dropped off at. The car had been gone for 15 minutes and I see the car on the back of a truck going up and down the road....why? Then when Im able to get a ride, I was able to catch up with the driver who just sped off when I tried to get their attention. The driver was speeding 80 mph down Laurens rd. to get away from me. No brake lights with the car swaying all over the road. All I wanted to know was how to get the car back. Then when Im able to reach the towel truck yard. Another driver told me that I cant be there because its private property. I told him I was trying to get my car, he said I cant have it. Would not explain the steps or anything. So the police was called and he said they would not do anything. He was very nasty, rude and would not help me at all. It was like they loved the fact I was having a terrible experience. Called the business office and was hung up on. It ended up costing $425 to release the car 2 days later on Monday morning. Im convinced that if I were White it would have been a totally different experience.

Used them for roadside assistance through AAA. Tom was professionally, quick, and knowledgeable on what he was was doing. Very impressed with them! Would definitely recommend and use them again.

When I called AAA - they sent this company for my roadside assistance call. Matthew the person that came was very courteous and arrived right on time. Before he arrived they called and let me know his ETA. Matthew provided excellent service - he knew quickly how to get my car started with a trick. He also gave me some advice on what to do when it happened again. Later in the week - I got a call from the office asking how my service call went and if I was 100% satisfied.

Called AAA, they contacted JR, called twice to make sure we coordinated ETA. Very helpful and professional. Got car going without having to tow and incur mechanic bill. Gave me some helpful hints. Really seemed to enjoy what he was doing. Awesome service!!!

I parked near a club in Mauldin and my car was towed. It sucks but it was my fault, I should have parked legally. When I got my car I was surprised that the bill was so low. My car has been towed several times in different places across SC and the tow bill has been close to or over $1000. So I guess Im thankful that they arent gouging on prices. Like I said before I really cant blame the tow company for my mistakes.

I called Honda roadside assistance for a flat tire. They sent out a junior towing. When the guy arrived he told me that I could drive my car with a nail in it to get it changed. Why would I drive my car with a nail in the tire to get stuck on the side of the road ? He then proceeds to change the tire and then asked for my drivers license and my membership card to verify my identity. I lost my drivers license the previous night and my membership card was not needed because I AM A HONDA ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE MEMBER NOT AAA. He then tries to grab my keys out of my hand to get my mileage which was already provided as well. I showed him my miles and he stood over me even after I told him the mileage several times. He insisted on me showing my DL even though I offered a piece of mail with my address and name. I proceeded to go back in my house and he sat outside for another 15 minutes until I called Honda back and asked them to tell him to leave. He treated me like this because I’m a black woman living in a established neighborhood with a brand new vehicle. He was incredibly rude from the time we spoke on the phone till he left. It is despicable to have that type of person working for your business. I hope no one else of color is treated this way by one of your employees.*As a post my review ON EVERY website I can find, I see more bad reviews that describe people of color being treated unprofessionally, it’s safe to say you have RACIST EMPLOYEES! Spend your money elsewhere folks !*

Worst experience with a company Ive ever had. When they first showed up, they told me that they couldnt tow my car with the type of truck they had and made me wait for a flat bed tow truck. After waiting an hour for the flat bed, the driver told me that he wouldnt except my AAA card because my plates were expired. I told him that AAA never cared before, so why would it matter now? He responded with a BS reason saying his boss would find out. I then asked him how much he would charge, and he said $65 with $4 for each mile. I agreed to the price only for him to tell me he couldnt load my car because the other driver had the car jack. So then we had to wait another 2-3 hours for the other guy to come back with a jack. After jacking up the car the driver told me that the cost will be $98. Considering that the place I was towing it to was only 2 miles away, I asked him why the price was $26 above cost. He told me that he was charging me for 7 miles instead of 2 miles because his outdated GPS calculated the drive to be 7 miles. After hearing this, I told him to just put my car back down because I wasnt paying. Absolutely horrible service, wouldnt recommend to anyone.

Scamming non- experienced driver by promising driver will not charge towing fee. The driver promised at least an hour that he will not charge towing fee because I was trying to contact my insurance recommended towing company when I had accident. However, when I contacted, my insurance told me that they want the car in their recommended place. So, I called the driver, the driver declined my call with excise “signal not good”, “ my voice is not clear”. Not recommended at all. I believes this company always lie to their customers. ;) good luck with those people doing business with them.

I have used J R services more than 10 times. I have referred 8-10 people as well. Each and every single time have been great. I have a few cars that I do not trust other towing services with due to ride height and paint. These guys always take the best of care with my car to make sure nothing is damaged. I couldnt be happier with the response. Will be using again this year.

I called AAA tonight for a flat tire, and they dispatched JR Towing. I was at a rehab facility visiting my husband who recently had a stroke. I had my 12 year old son and mother in law with me and it was already 9:45pm. The service technician removed the tire and pulled out the spare. He took the tire over to his truck and after a few minutes he put the tire back on the car and the spare in the trunk. He handed me a screw and said I fixed it for you, yall have enough to worry about right now, this will save you a trip to the tire store. I honestly had tears running down my face. Thank you for your kindness, you didnt have to go above and beyond but you did and we are grateful!

AAA premium member. 4 wks ago JR towing flat bedded my car safely home and they did it in record time. 15 minutes. The service was fast and professional. TYVM for getting me out of a not so nice neighborhood and quickly.I would gladly use this company again.Updated: My second time using them I was not happy. A different driver showed up, he took others calls while towing ours, and a 10 minute tow took a couple hrs for our vehicle to show up. Whats worse, the driver was a thief. He stole a pair of red Nike basketball shoes from the car. Yeah, not happy about the second service call or that driver. -5 stars for that service call

After calling AAA on a Monday morning for a flat tire, JR Towing showed up to put my spare tire on. Little did I know the tech damaged my car by shredding the tire bolt and I would be paying an additional $150 out of pocket that was done at the expense of using JR Towing. I found out by taking my car immediately to North Hills Automotive (who I have been using for 10 years in Greenville) and they said whoever touched my car last, shredded the bolt and I would need a new one. I tried to call Wayne at JR Towing to resolve the issue and have him reimburse me directly. For 5 days he avoided my calls, denied his tech shredded the bolt, and was completely out of line. I asked him to call North Hills to get their statement. He would call them after business hours to avoid talking to them and said they put him on hold. All completely untrue, as every time you call them someone always answers the phone. As a lot of these reviews state, this place is a TOTAL SCAM and filled with people that will damage your car and you will never receive reimbursement. For the sake of you, your family, and friends, please share with them never to call JR Towing or Wayne. I have had the worst experience of my life over the past 10 days and I would never wish this situation on anyone. It is a shame that businesses can get away with direct damage and negligence to someones personal property and Wayne is the true definition of having perfected that.

We didn’t need a tow, but when one of the tow truck drivers saw us struggling to rig up the best way to strap down two kayaks we were picking up at Cabela’s, he came over and offered us some ideas and help. Thank you!

JR Towing was careful with my Buick Lesabres recovery after my first fender bender. Their driver was prompt and polite and my car made it to the mechanic with no further damage.I had no complaints.

Had a flat tire in uptown Greenville last night. Called AAA and within a very few minutes JR Towing called me and said he would be there in 15 minutes. He came on time and fixed my tire. Did the best job of everyone I have used in the past. I recommend them highly.

Great people to know when you need a tow!

Nobody enjoys the prospect of having to use the services of a towing company. Like funeral directors, dentists or perhaps a bail bondsman, dealing with a towing company is an experience to be had colored only by the unpleasant side of life. I had just such an episode recently while visiting Greenville and the upstate that required a towing service. AAA dispatched a unit from JR recovery. When the driver, Rick, arrived, he was courteous and helpful, and went so far as to redo my battery connection. He verified what I suspected-alternator issue-and towed my vehicle at a reasonable rate. (See my other review AAA). Been dealing with towing services since 1973 when I got my first car and have to say I was very pleased by the level of service and genuine concern for the customer Rick demonstrated. Anyone in Greenville needing the services of a courteous and professional towing company, JR is who you should call.

This is a top notch run business. Definitely will use again! Employees seem to really care for their customers and their vehicles.

I called JR Towing when I accidentally locked my keys in the car at the grocery store. The service driver, David, was friendly and got me back into my car in no time flat, which was much appreciated. I will definitely call JR Towing the next time I need help with any of my vehicles.

Unsafe driver. I was driving doing 40 in a 35 on laurens rd. And one of their trucks comes flying up on my tail and then gets beside me about running me off the rd. They head a car in tow and were weavig over into my lane. They had to be doing 55 or 60 mph. Very inconsiderate to be driving like that in a much larger vehicle while towing. That couldve cost someones life

Hammer towed my car to the dealership because I thought I had lost my keys and needed a new one. Well, he parked my car, and I went into the waiting room and 10 minutes later he came in there because he had looked in my car for me and found my keys! He saved me $300! I don’t think any other driver would have taken the time to look for someone’s keys in their car and he was kind enough to look and he found them! Life saver.

Awful experience. I experienced a flat tire on my 2nd vehicle and this company was dispatched by AAA to change the tire. I rarely drive this extra vehicle but had some idle time recently and took it to Discount Tire to get a new tire mounted on the original wheel and remove the spare. There is where the problem begins. Discount Tire informed me that whomever installed the spare has cross threaded and stripped the lug and we cannot remove the tire. So now Ive paid for a new tire that sits on the original wheel in my trunk because JRs Towing & Recovery doesnt know how to properly mount a spare wheel and tire. I made a claim with AAA and was told that the provider would contact me within 24-48 hours. I never received a call so I followed up with AAA and they told me that JRs denied the claim because it exceeded the 30 day window. I called JRs and spoke to someone that said that is their policy. Word to the wise...check behind their work. Even something as simple as properly changing a tire is outside of their scope of work as evidenced by the other poor reviews. Avoid this company would be my suggestion.

Im in greenville sc. My van got towing last week Thursday morning at 3am while I was sleep. I woke my vehicle was going without me knowing anything. The man told me lies after lies about my van. I have personal things in my van and so is my family and that can was my only vehicle until this rude man in intown suites lies so bad. He told me his company dont towing people car without the owning know it then why he lie.

Awful my friend car got damaged in the process of being unlawfully towed from her residence. Paid $250.00 to get it out, only to discover damage to the back end of her brand new vehicle of which was not there prior. Awful company run from these scammers

I attempted to call this company twice today but no one ever answered the phone. But my interaction with J R Towing was with one of their tow trucks on 26E Monday evening. I had the unfortunate experience of being tailgated on my way home. The driver couldnt just wait for the opportunity for the traffic on the left side of the road to diminish so this guy, who was on the phone, would cut over to the right realize that there was right hand traffic, DUH, and cut back over to the left assuming his tailgating motion. There are many unfortunate parts to this story thankfully nothing permanent happened except my frustration with him driving this way. My advice is next time dont drive a rolling banner if you do not expect to be called out on your misbehavior. Next person Im contacting is AAA, Im sure they would like to know who is representing them on the roads.

I literately had the worst experience with these people. Our car died at 2:00 in the morning, we had the tow truck coming in an hour ( they had said) and it took almost 4 HOURS for them to get there. They kept telling us, Oh itll be another 45 or 20 or 10 mins before hes there. He didnt get there till 5:15 in the morning! And then after waiting so long he proceeded to ask how we got his bosses number and to give him all ones on the survey well be getting! Very rude and extremely late! Would never call again.

The tow driver ran my car into a tree backing it off the truck and left a dent in it the size of a basketball. It would have been even worse if my husband hadnt stopped him and asked him to get out of the car. Unfortunately they wouldnt tow us unless my husband signed a waiver, so theres no action we can take to make it right. It seems unethical and Im disappointed. Would not recommend.
