They are awesome! They came out during the ice storm on 2-13 and partially removed this tree from my roof. Theyll be back to remove the rest when the yard gets drier. They were the first business I called because they had worked for me previously, I was pleased with their work. They were willing to help me even though the conditions were dangerous; they warned me they may not be able to do anything. Other companies had me on a wait list and didnt want to come out.

Hunt Tree Service has taken care of multiple jobs for me over the years. Theyve been efficient and their costs are reasonable. And they clean up the work areas nicely before they go. Highly recommend!

Perry and his crew has been doing our tree cutting since 2005. They just did another job yesterday at our lake house and did another tremendous job. We wouldn’t use anyone else.They are hard working in which in this day and time you do not find that quality. Their pricing is very reasonable too. They also went to SC last year for a client of ours to cut trees and limbs after the hurricane because nobody in the area would go for our client so they called us to see if we knew anyone and we called Perry and they went and got the work completed and we had a very satisfied customer. We appreciate you all!!

Five Star all around. Great company, very professional, detail oriented and they try to please the customer. I like the way they do business. I dont think you will be disappointed if you choose them to work for you. They took down two very old hollow white oaks, probably close to if not older than 200 years, and two younger trees. They did a remarkable job in close quarters. Im very happy I chose them and their prices are competitive with the other estimates I received. Their grandfather was doing some work close to me back in the 1970s. He approached me then and said he would love to work with me when my old trees needed help and they would need help in a few years. 40 years later I used the company working with his son and grandson. All nice folks.

Very pleased with the quality of the work. They removed a large oak that was leaning towards my neighbors and freaking me out whenever there was a storm. They were the sixth company I called-3 were way too high, 1 had no proof of insurance and another nearly scammed me out of $2000. Perry with Hunt Tree Service was clear, reasonable and his company did a great job removing a gigantic tree in a precarious position. They had a mishap with the fence that was mainly the fault of gravity. They fixed it the next day. Honestly I felt like the other companies were taking advantage of my sensitivity to disasters/ fear the tree would injure my neighbors in the next tropical event. This company was honest, thorough, corrected their mishap and left my yard better than before. They were careful in their work, interesting to see how they removed the 25 degree leaning tree from a tight space on a hill. By the way the tree turned out to be rotting from the inside out, mainly on the side nearest MY house. Just goes to show what you do comes back to you. Definitely recommend this company.

They are outstanding

Dont use this company, prices are way too high and the workers are drunks. One of the workers cut a tree down and it missed my house within 6 inches, my gutter is hanging and the drive way is cracked. I called the office everyday for a month and no one has called me back. I will never use this service again. Bad, Very bad customer service.

I have used Hunt Tree Service for many years and have always been pleased with their work. I have had many trees removed, trimmed and cut back after late ice storms have damaged them. Perry Hunt is a solid leader and is good to work with. I recommend this tree service.

Perrys guys came to cut down some limbs for us. When I called Perry the next morning to tell him I felt like they cut back more than we had discussed, he just starting ranting. He would not even let me say a word, only kept defending himself. He basically said I didnt say what I said as far as how many limbs I wanted trimmed back. Perry shouldve taken some time to listen to his customer instead of defending himself and his son, who did some of the work. I told him I would pay but I would not be using his services anymore, and he said thats fine. I said thats the way you treat your customers?? He just kept saying hes been in this business for a long time. My opinion, it may be time for him to move on.

My experience with James Hunt, this is a dishonest business that I provided a service for and payment was not rendered. James dodged phone calls and lied about paying my salary for only 2 days of work. On three separate occasions, I went to his home at 2900 Ormond Dr. in Winston-Salem, as he requested to meet for payment and James Hunt did not show up, and ignored calls. His wife/girlfriend stated that she would not pay me and did not appreciate my presence as James had requested. If you need tree work done, do not use this business. He will expect payment in advance and leave the job incomplete. Smooth talker with ulterior motives. Not a man of his word.
