Had windows and siding installed on entire house, I am VERY pleased! From my sales rep Sandy to Mark the project manager and Alberto and his install crew-everyone was wonderful to work with. Mark kept in touch every week from the time the papers were signed to install and follow up, GREAT Customer Service! Alberto and his crew were very professional, worked hard and a good group of guys. When the project was completed, Alberto gave me a final inspection and answered all my questions. I would have these guys back in a heartbeat, thanks Improvement Store!

Had them install gutters and replace wood trim around my windows and sliding glass door. Came out quick and got the quote. Good finance terms. Guy came to install the gutters and did not understand all that needed to be done. Finally got on the same page and he installed everything. Did a quick job. Done in less than an hour. Gutters leaked because they werent close enough to the house. Took about 4 weeks and he finally came out and fixed them. They still leak a little but I just deal with it.Replaced my wood trim around my windows and door with vinyl and flashing. Did this because they kept leaking during bad storms. They leaked again, called, took 6 weeks to get someone back out. He looked at it, caulked it again, and said everything looks good. Next bad storm they leaked. Still leak now. They leak in the same spot before the trim was replaced so it was a waste of money. I asked for a different sub to come out and look and never heard back.Was really happy at first, but the follow up isnt there and my leaking windows and doors still arent fixed.

We had the Improvement Store install a new roof on our home in mid-june of 2021. They were professional and on top of everything starting with the salesperson who handed it off to the project manager John. John stayed in contact with us all the time and was readily available to answer any questions we had. **have spoken to the owner himself & changes have been made with employees etc. Sincere apologies from him. **Gutter replacement happened fast & was fine. Also signed contract for a chain link fence to be installed. Was given A 3-5wk timeline. Signed on march 19,2021. After 7wks my husband called to see what was going on. was told supplies had to be ordered, OK maybe that was the case but was told a guy named Shane would call & set up an install date. Another week, nothing then were told Christie would call & her crew will do it. another week, nothing. This is on going! Then when I call Im told Christie called & left msg... no she didnt but then she did after Id called. Said they were running behind, previous job causing problems but they would wrap it up the following day & be out the day after. no one shows so i call back, then after talking with Adrian she says shell call back & lmk something. she didnt so I call back, then says oh Christie saying another 4-5 days! Ok, enough, give it to another crew because obviously this lady in being childish because I called & she got a call from the Comp about what was going on. So her guy delivers the fence supplies, but no gate .OK returned call finally & another guy will be here Saturday June 5th(mind you nearly 3 months since we signed) . he does show but does no work because the comp didnt send him pics of the whole job area & he says he doesnt have enough supplies, hell come back next Saturday. OK We wait another week, no one shows up, so I call back Monday (yes I ranted, cussed etc., this is ridiculous!) Oh he tried to call us apparently, saying he got rained out?! Not A drop off rain fell here until after 3pm! OK, So I ask is there not some one you can put on this? This fence is going around our pool,we cant leave it uncovered, this is why we started in march so the fence would be up by opening day! So now we have to wait another week? So Adrian said shell call someone else, she did call back said Robert will be here on Wednesday to put it up. Well Robert & his crew (caliber fencing) drove 2hrs to get here, started & finished the fence! they were here until 10:30pm so they could complete it! Nothing but good things to say about Robert & his guys! Very nice, professional & personable! Above & beyond! they had to go to the local hardware store & get supplies because the guy who estimated the job didnt calculate things correctly. I would highly recommend caliber fencing & Robert! I would not recommend Carolina home improvement! I understand supplies needing to be ordered but the supplies laid in the yard for 3wks! Very unprofessional! All they did was apologize but didnt try to get the job done in a timely manner. Skip the headache & call caliber fencing!

The sub-contractor for Carolina Improvement did an awesome job installing siding on my home. Tommy Paschal and his assistant were courteous, efficient, professional and a pleasure to work with. Tommy went above and beyond to communicate with me throughout the project. They kept the job site clean and organized and answered questions on other aspects of my home improvement. I’ve received nothing but compliments since project completion. My home looks amazing! Thanks for the great work!

I have gotten a response posted rebuking this problem from the owner. The response claims it was already like this. If this was like this then the rest of the roof should be the same way since the house was built at the same time. I have added a second picture of the other gutters to show a difference.Carolina improvements put a new metal roof on. After a good rainstorm I noticed that one 10ft section of gutter wasnt working. The metal was brought down to far and covered most of gutter. The rest of the gutters are fine only this one section is messed up. 1st call I was told they would fix. 2weeks later they called and said they would fix at my expense. On the old roof this gutter worked and on the rest of the new roof the gutters are working. I am not sure why they messed this one up and then refuse to fix. All she could say was sorry I was disappointed and have a good day. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and QUALITY CONTROL

Updated 6/13/21- changed my review because of the responsiveness and discussion with the owner. He called and first thing he did was apologize. After the apology, he then offered an explanation and resolution. I enjoy supporting small businesses and as one myself, I have to remember to give grace and remember were all just trying to do the best we can and sometimes drop the ball but its ok. Because I do enjoy their work and pricing, I look forward to working them soon. I cant give a perfect 5 because no work has been completed yet, lol. If we can work it out and get the work done, I will update again afterwards.So disappointed in this company. I was excited about getting work done and even ok with the estimate. The problem occurred when I didnt immediately get approved using their finance company. The representative who did the estimate told me not to worry and that he would try another company and get back to me. Hmm, never heard back from the guy. This is sad because Ive actually come into some money that allow me to pay cash for all the work I wanted but since I wasnt worthy enough for at least a return phone call, they are most certainly not worthy to receive my cash. Not sure when companies are going to get their act together when it comes to customer service. Everyone that calls and takes the time for an estimate is worthy of common courtesy such as a simple return call when promised. I know people will continue to use them but you better have your ish together if you want to work with this company. So, disappointed.

We choose a Hurricane fence for our privacy fence. Beautiful fence from the pictures we saw. After that all downhill. It took numerous phones calls to see when the subcontractors would show up after all our wood was delivered and set in our yard for over a week killing the grass. The subcontractor after completion said they had never installed a Hurricane fence and in the end said he would never do another. Once our fence was up we found numerous errors (boards not even, nails not nailed into places, pieces of wood raised, pieces of wood cut very uneven). We of course signed off on the fence after the guy sat in our driveway for over 2 hours waiting for us to get home from work. It was pouring rain so we signed off thinking all would be good OUR MISTAKE(should have know when the guy says I won’t get paid until y’all sign off and I have another job we got to get to)After finding all the problems we proceed to call again numerous times without a call back. Finally the guy comes out and proceeded to tell us things like this just happen when doing work and it would be at least 4 weeks before he could come back to fix issues, my husband told him to leave and never return that no things don’t just happen when you’re supposed to be a professional!! Also our yard was destroyed and the rain caused a build up of mud at the bottom that stained our fence. We were told they were supposed to leave the yard as they found it except for the holes dug for fence posts. Numerous phone calls to Jamie and then to Edward (subcontractor) only fueled our anger! We will never recommend this company nor we will ever do business with you again. P.S. find a new subcontractor as well he’s very unprofessional and took no pride in his job that was done terrible! If I could post photos on here I would show you...we sent them to Jamie but nothing was ever done of course.

I had a new deck built to replace one that was no longer safe to use. The new deck is a much better quality and once the crew was here and materials delivered, the construction was done within a weeks time. Very satisfied.

The sub- contractors themselves were great! Big Thank You to Robby,Tom, and Liz!! Beautiful fence.. down to earth customer oriented people.The gal in the office that handled our stuff, also nice. Lowe’s lagged a bit picking up extra wood.. no biggie... but almost 2 weeks.The salesman.. led me to believe I was getting cedar .. and they offered a free gift with our construction. Never got it or the cedar. Total miscommunication there, and even though apologies were given out .. we were pretty put out.Bottom line.. we have a beautiful fence and the contractors were timely and neat.

Charlies a crook and will cut corners on your behalf to save him money... how bout that 2500 the court took from you on this contract today 1-25 21... lol. Folks take them to court if the job is not complete as the contract says.

Well I will definitely say that I am very Pleased with my siding and privacy vinyl fence installation. My fence materials arrived first and we got started installation but had to get another contractor to finish. Jamie addressed the switch quickly. Communication with Jamie was great until the end when I needed the rest of the materials picked up. Now I do understand she could only do but so much because the installers was not local. I wish she could have sealed the deal with me personally instead of sending communication through Mark. Speaking of Mark wwwwaaahhhooo was super awesome. Mark communicated with me the whole time, kept me informed, called me back when he said he would. He communicated with me each week. He assigned the best contractor Alberto for my siding. Alberto was very professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. Fantastic job!!! My home looks brand new with the fence as a added ??. This company was good to deal with. My only wish I would have is the price.!!! With what we paid, my entire backyard should have been fenced in with two gates. But you live and learn and tell EVERYONE about it.

They were right on time to come estimate, and kept us informed of when they were coming. Originally we were told that our fence would be a 2 part job. First the posts, then the pickets, but they got it all done in one day. It is quality work. They cleaned up after. There was no argument over the price once it was set. I would recommend them to all my friends and will call them again when I enclose my back porch.

We got a new 6 privacy fence from Carolina Improvements and they did an awesome job. They actually were able to schedule us a couple of weeks earlier than they originally estimated. And when we had to delay a day or two for rain, they were able to accommodate our schedule needs as well. The guys that did the installation were friendly and did a very professional job. Id definitely recommend them and were looking to maybe have them redo our deck in the Spring.

Carolina Improvements was a cut above from the very beginning. They were courteous and very professional when my husband and I first contacted them. This continued withe the at home estimate for our home window replacement quote. What we love was that is was factual without the high pressure sales pitch one usually experience in these situations. My neighbor hired these people to redo their roof. They seemed to do a good job on the roof but they tore up my yard with their trucks. Idiots need to learn how to drive!!!

The work was very good. The workers were professional and very easy to deal with. The cost was reasonable. We are very happy with the job Carolina Improvements did.

On April 27, 2019 homeowner signed a contract with Carolina Improvements, for siding and addition to rear decks, both projects were not started for several months, siding project was completed in September of 2019 and deck on October 4, 2019. Customer was very happy with siding project but very unhappy with deck project. During this whole process subcontractors never showed up never received any phone calls, after the third contractor came out on deck project the company that showed up to do the deck we’re actually the fourth company. Which homeowners never met before start of project. After finished project of decking this company should not be building decks. The siding contractor also told homeowners that he is certified in building decks and told home owners this crew should not be building decks. As home owners were also told from the crew that they normally do fences and not decks. As by finished project they need to stick to building fences. Homeowners called Finance Company (Aqua Finance) through Carolina Improvements and homeowners asked could we release funds for siding but not for deck. We were told contract could not be split and if not happy with any project in contract, Do Not Sign, as we did not. If you decide to use Carolina Improvements make sure you get references from their subcontractors as Carolina Improvements does not do any of the work in house. All work is subcontracted which we did not know at time contract was signed. Deck boards not screwed down, screws missing, and deck not built to dimensions on contract and therefore steps could not be added to lower deck with hot tub . They were not willing to repair deck to contact. As they state I told them to leave property. NOT TRUE . not posting this review to bash company just want future home owners not to run in same situation as we did . And we have hired lawyer to handle this in court, CANT WAIT, homeowners were willing to pay for siding project 17.000 dollars but we were told that they were still going to put Lien on property . . Company claims they stand behind there repairs. They don’t, they dodge all complaints as u can see in all bad reviews this is why there rating is 4.3 . BIG MISTAKE on us .

We saw an ad in the newspaper to contact Carolina Improvements.The addition of the 10 x 20 stamped concrete deck has totally changed my backyard. The weather was a problem during the installation, but the crew worked around it and finished. They cleaned all the work debris and I was satisfied with the results. The crew was efficient and worked well together. James the contractor came the next morning to power wash the mud from the driveway that came from the truck tires. Its an awesome job. Love it. I will use them again when I need work done.

I was very upset to the factor that they required my spouse to be at the estimate appointment. The house is in my name, and yet youre telling me I cannot make a decision about my house without my spouse. That seems to be extreme with no wiggle room for an option to do an estimate without him. Based on Tiffany it could have been five stars, she was very polite. With that being said my wife and I have multiple projects that need to be done starting with a fence, a deck remodel and a roof for our home. Unfortunately, Im not allowed to make decisions on my own even though Im the one paying the house payment, in order to get an estimate we both have to be present which makes no sense what so ever, I work swing shifts and my wife works first shift so its almost impossible for both of us to be home for an estimate. Guess Ill be spending my money else wheres sorry for the client that got away.

Gave this company $2500 to put up an additional 5 foot section of fence because after having them put up a 4 ft I realized my dogs could jump it. They cashed my check almost a month ago still no fence. Ive been calling weekly only to be told they are waiting for additional jobs in my area to finish mine. Then I go to bring my riding mower into my back yard only to find out the gate area is to small to fit my mower ...this after they supposedly measured it to assure it would fit.

I had to call many times to get my sliding door fixed, but once Mike called back, he gave us a simple solution to fix it

Do not use this business.. quality of work is sub-par..my driveway is cracking in the areas that they had to repair already .was poured in Oct 19. The repair areas are all a different color..going have another company come and repair/replace about a 20 x9 section..I wish I could post pictures. Extremely disappointed with work..the salesman Tim. Said he would be here for all work done,never seen huh om again after Contract was signed..pictures are on my Facebook page..

We just bought a new house two months ago and needed a fence and deck built. Carolina Improvements did a really good job and completed them both in less than a month. Very happy.

The workers were very detail oriented and left about 3 nails which I found quickly. They were very thorough and I would highly recommend.

They gave me an estimate that was off by over 2000.00 thousands...and when it came time to install they figured it out. I had already planned to get the house on the market so it would have cost me time and money to start over. The owner even cracked a joke about the salesman and said I should have known...I did not find it funny and the worse part myself and another 3rd party did question the salesman and he stood by the quote...until it was install time. Then after I agreed to pay the additional money they did not send the right color so it was pushed off. I would asked the salesman the status and he would say he did not know ...well I am sure he knew his cut of taking advantage . The owner told me this has never happened...well then you know he should have stood by the quote. Buyer beware ! I had to give them one star just to post..they deserve none.

The people my family worked with from this company were incredibly sexist and refused to allow my mom to make the decision about replacing the roof without first consulting with her husband, despite multiple explanations that he was not available to meet and she would be making the decision. They also did not inspect the roof, but instead use Google Maps to inspect the roof before an estimate. Incredibly unprofessional and rude.

This business refused to quote work for me. The reason for the refusal; I deeded one of my properties to my oldest son (which prevents my real property from going into probate court should I become disabled or die.) Having a Will is not sufficient; and a trust is expensive to draft. Since the deed change has to be completed at least 7 years prior to the end of life, and I am 56 years old, I feel I am being smart. This practice is not uncommon for those approaching their senior years.I had an addition added to my home; and was interested in siding the exterior and replacing 2-4 windows. I called Carolina Home Improvements and a woman answered the phone. I was asked if I was the homeowner (meaning decision maker) and I said yes. We continued to speak and in the course of the conversation the woman said, I just checked on the property and you are not the owner. Oh, I know my son is listed on the legal deed of trust I responded. I explained to her the situation (which is really none of her business) and clearly stated I am the owner I own the mortgage. She all but called me a liar and refused to accept the fact that I am the decision maker and until I die, I am the owner of the house. She stated they would not send anyone to give me a price.I enjoyed a 20+ year career in property management, during which I improved properties as the representative of the owner. While not exactly the same situation, I was never asked to assemble a team of investors to get a quote for a job. I was not asked to prove myself to the carpenters who built the addition or the roofer who installed the new metal roof. Since the woman on the phone simply kept repeating the same thing and demonstrated a definite belief that the customer is always lying I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told, thats me, I am all you get.Apparently, the business practices of this company are set up to ensure it is impossible to improve a property you dont own; I understand their reasoning, however I believe theyve taken it to the extreme. I personally have never heard of someone spending $$$$ to repair or improve a house that was not theirs, unless of course they were doing it as a gift. I told the woman I was paying in cash so there was no danger of them getting stuck with a bad debt or having to complete financial paperwork. I simply wanted a price for siding and 4 windows.I wrote to their website after hanging up from the call, thinking perhaps a reasonable person might read it and respond to me. I cannot be sure but, I believe it was the same person. The response said, You dont own the house and basically told me to beat it.Yes, my 32 year old son could have burned up vacation time and driven to the house to give his permission or sign something if I asked him to. I didnt want him to waste what little time off he has on getting a price for siding. Had they given me a price which I felt was fair etc..and asked for his signature it would have been provided and even notarized at their request.I was disappointed in the way I was treated. The assumption that I was lying and the inability of the supervisor to do anything other than follow a script were insulting and frustrating. I most certainly can get another company to perform the work and already have one quote so it is truly of no consequence one way or the other. But, I felt it a moral obligation to report to how I was treated. Perhaps taking courses in real estate law and customer service would benefit their office/sales staff.My warning to anyone approaching retirement who has investment property or business property stay away from Carolina Home Improvements.The administrative staff is not knowledgeable and in my experience is just plain rude. To the contractors who sub under them keep in mind the baby boomers are beginning to retire and these people may cost you money; if they did it to me...they will do it to other people as well.

Very poor business practices and poor workmanship. Avoid this company. The few positive reviews I could find for this business are written like advertisements so I do believe the company writes there own reviews. Another fly by night construction company that changes names often to avoid warranty issues and a negative reputation.

Carolina Improvements replaced our old privacy fence and did a very professional job. And they got it done quickly!

I used Carolina Improvements to install a composite deck. Although a wooden deck would have been less costly, my husband and I chose composite because the salesman, Josh, informed us that this material is better due to the fact that there is less maintenance and the look of it, without leaving any screw holes, is much neater. However, once the project was nearly completed, we questioned the installer about the screw holes and he said that it was because of the screws he had been supplied and that he actually questioned the company twice about it, and their response was this is what you have to work with. When the company was phoned twice regardthe screw holes, they became very defensive and even refused to visit then property to see the issue. Further, they insisted that there was nothing they could do and actually expected me to give THEM a solution!!! After waiting more than a month for this issue to be resolved, including lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, we still have not heard from the company. Further, there were incorrect angles delivered to be put in the railing and until now, even that has not been resolved. This has been a nightmare and I would warn anyone intending to use this company to BEWARE!!!!!!!!
