I purchased a 1922 mill house in January 2019 and found Rene through sheer luck. After months of my own updates and construction to love this tired home with some updates that honored the history of the house, it was important to me to do the same with the floors when ready.Rene met me at Architectural Salvage in Greensboro and we found wood planks that matched my original floors and he patched them in where an old floor heating grate had once been before he finished the rest of the floors. The result just took my breath away.Not only is Rene an incredible craftsman, but his attention to detail and work ethic is one you don’t find often. On top of that, he is just a really good guy that I now call friend after this is all over. I can not recommend him highly enough and without any hesitation recommend him to anyone I know that needs a craftsman like him.

Rene confirmed an appointment for giving an estimate to us. At the day of the appointment even after 30 minutes delayed of the confirmed time, I needed to call him back, as we had no news from him. He only mentioned that he was nos interested in working with our Property Management Company, which is totally understandable, but very unprofessional as he confirmed and never cancelled back until I contact him again. A notice in advance would have been appreciated.

You definitely did an exceptional job restoring the floors. I would have to say you’re by far, the best at what you do. I recommend everyone that needs their floors repaired, restored and/or replaced, to hire you for the job!!

Brilliant work by a real craftsman. Patched 110 year old floors with a beautiful design and matched wood so perfectly that you cannot tell the original wood from the patch wood. Highly recommended!!

Rene brought new life to 100 yr old Southern Yellow Pine floors which were lifeless and neglected! His knowledge and understanding of wood floors particularly historic wood floors is extensive and is complemented by his artistry and passion for his craft! Amazing work from Rene! Replaced a piece of hardwood in the middle of our living room and refinished the floor of our entire house. He stuck to schedule and really understand what we wanted. He was also very attentive and followed up weeks after the job was completed.
