Being generous giving it a star at all. Terrible about leaving the phones turned off. Terrible about returning phone calls. If you want real care for a truly troubled loved one, look elsewhere. This place has NO CLUE what it means to be truly mentally ill. They have NO DESIRE to truly help people who are in trouble. They want the easy jobs. Don’t waste your time. They don’t care.
Having Mental Health us already a challenge but to make it harder when someone is asking for help is the worst feeling ever. You almost give up. Doctor left he was a great doctor but I couldnt follow him. Ive tried to follow up and was told I was discharged for becoming upset cuz of a miscommunication problem. Office manager was very rude and not helpful at all. This is why people dont ask for help! We are so misunderstood to the wrong people and even to the right people. Ill be contacting Medical Board!
I have been seeing psychiatrists for over a decade and have never encountered a practice this badly run before. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone to book or cancel an appointment (which is a convenient way for them to collect fees from you when you miss an appointment you tried to cancel several times). When I was finally able to get through to someone about potentially changing a medication, my doctor suggested something I have already tried and cant tolerate. I still havent heard back from them after telling her so. She also frequently cancelled my appointments with barely an hours notice and was extremely prickly when asked to do just one appointment via phone to lower COVID-19 risk during the height of the pandemic. Save your money and frustration and go elsewhere.
Very corporate way of dealing with clients.Wont call you back.Wont refill your prescriptions.Wont forgive you if you miss too many appointments- hope you dont have anxiety or ADHD or any other mental impairment that may cause you to miss appointments because they dont care- even though youre theyre to seek help for these things.Yet they WILL make you wait 30-45 minutes before starting your appointment.Wont actually treat you for all of your disorders. Hi I have ADHD- I may miss appointments, can you help me?. Theyre answer- here lets treat you for depression and no you may not miss appointments.Like, do they actually care about their clients mental health at all? Cause it seems to me they care more about making money.
This is the worse ran office I have ever seen!! The staff is useless, rude, and incompetent. Even the Doctors will admit how bad it is. Not only is the level of service terrible the staff is rude to patients and will often Lie about appointments and calls they made but really didnt. If you can find another practice to go to I highly recommend going somewhere else!!Also, DRs cancel appt and there is always hour wait....
I was skeptical at first having never been seen by a psychiatrist before. The staff has been extremely nice, and helpful. I have been seeing Dr.Phill he has been very accommodating. He has helped me a lot. I know I still have a long way to go, but now I know with his help I will be a better person. If you suffer from chronic pain PLEASE set up an appointment. I’ve only seen Dr.phill so I can not say anything about the rest of the medical staff at triad psychiatric.I hope this helped you in your decision making.Be well
Just want to start out by saying my DR. Spencer is the best . But the staff at the bill department is so terrible it don’t even have a clue on customer service. They deactivated my account why we are going through a national crisis . My last visit with them over the phone because of Covid-19 was 5/5/20 . So I call to get a refill and they said my account was deactivated. So I call billing and they said they had done it for a 140.00 that was not paid. So I ask them what bill ? They said the was mailing me bills and I told them I have not received anything. So they tell me that it been sent to Collections . I said what —— are you talking about when I have no bill and have no way of getting my meds now . Thanks a lot for making me having to go many days without my meds
Traid Psych Counseling has been so helpful the pharmacy counselor for Britany Mitchel Asiana has been so helpful to us we had the hardest time getting medical records sent to them and she helped to speed the process along she has been in constant communication with us and has made this process of being a new patient so much easier. They really do CARE about people and there mental health. Thank you all!
From my first appointment with Lisa Poulos to my most recent today Ive always been treated with empathy and compassion. She is very down to earth and I feel like Im talking to an old friend. Her guidance and knowledge has helped me through some very rough times. I actually love the office staff and I never mind waiting to see Lisa. I understand she takes the time she needs to help patients and I know she has went over on my appointments when I needed the extra time. I actually appreciate that she does what she sees fit for each patient. She has saved my life and I cant say enough great things about her. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart
I had a pleasant experience. Grateful :) Jo is great! She actually listens and cares. Its a rare find here within Greensboro city limits. :) Would def recommend.
Never told me anything about being able to take my insurance until my second appointment i show up and they try to charge me $125, i then had to leave because i was never told to bring money. my mom calls later and they say we owe $250 for the first appointment when NOBODY EVER TOLD US THAT. my mom gave insurance over the phone and never once did they say they don’t take my insurance but now try and say i owe $250 a month after my appointment. wish i would’ve read the reviews before i went there, but definitely never going back.
Horrible office staff. I worked as a receptionist for 7 years and I wouldn’t treat a flea the way these unprofessional people treat patients with legitimate medical and health concerns. I love my NP and therapist, but the office staff is rude and incompetent. They charged me a missed appointment fee when I called them same day to cancel. I don’t just skip appointments—My uncle passed away and I had to leave the state. I’ll be calling them at 8 am to speak to the office manager and if this is not resolved, I will absolutely be going to another practice. I’ll be shocked if they actually answer. They also don’t have an answering machine for after hours questions, and during their 2 HOUR lunch break they turn off the phones, so how am I supposed to leave a message regarding medications when I only have certain times during the day when I’m free? They do not make things convenient for those of us who have busy work schedules. Also, whoever is writing the responses to these reviews needs to learn appropriate capitalization and professional language. Do your research and save yourself the headache of dealing with the uncaring and unprofessional front office staff.
Two stars because the provider I see is pleasant and professional. Office staff is absolutely horrible, extremely rude and defensive, I often feel treated like garbage.
They are THE WORST. Their receptionist are rude & NEVER answer the phone. They fail send out appointment reminder calls then charge you an obnoxious amount if you miss the appointment for a valid reason and leave a message (since they never answer the phone). Monarch is better👍🏾
Scheduling an appointment could not possibly be more difficult. Jo is wonderful. Office staff, not so much. Rude and unwilling to be cooperative, much less professional. Looking for another facility.
Rude, near impossible to talk to anyone, take two hours lunch breaks, told Id have to pay 150$ before theyd even schedule my appointment..even with a referral from my Dr... Its almost like they dont want business
They would get negative stars if it were possible. Have side effects from meds they prescribed and you call them? Oh, theyll get a message back to the Dr. 24, 48 hours pass.....no return call. Often much longer to hear from them. Since theyre dealing with psych patients, they seem to think its just all in their head and thats their attitude. Theyre happy just as long as they get their co-pays and the money keeps on rolling in from insurance. Its not about helping patients with these people.
Doctors are perfectly fine. The staff? Insurance would not let a perscription be filled without confirmation from the doctor. The pharmacy called and relayed this to the staff. No matter how many times I called or how many messages I left; even yelling at staff on site, could get this confirmation. I have yet to understand what happened. They are idiots. So I left. This was about two years ago. To this day, it is one of the only times in my life I have bellowed like that at somebody.
Love the professional medical service. Traci is a very kind and patience nurse. I always look forward to seeing her!
They are the best of the best. Ive been to a lot of therapists and counselers and never got the help i needed to help me . All my friends as well as my family go there. I referred them and they had a choice to go anywhere in town or out of town. They chose triad psychiatric and counseling center. They have no problem with the staff, counselor, or therapist. My son and i both go therewe are pleased becaused we got the help we needed to live a productive life.
Lisa Poulos is amazing. The high quality of her care keeps me coming back, between moves to VA and SC, I still have been coming back just to see Lisa. My boyfriends mother recommended her, and now all three of us (myself, my boyfriend, and his mother) all are her patients. 100% she is amazing. Lisas pharmacy coordinator is also wonderful- considerate, prompt, excellent. Unfortunately, both myself and my boyfriend have had some problems with the channels of communication to get our information to them. Ive had multiple faxes sent from pharmacies (the same fax multiple times, and this has happened within several states that I have lived in over the years... and its pretty consistent) that never get to the pharmacy co-ordinator. Over time Ive found that there seems to be a direct correspondence between day of the week (Fridays=no go) and likelihood that the fax reaches the coordinator. Having spoken with the coordinator, Im convinced the problem isnt with her- I believe the problem is with the office system, and cant help but wonder if faxes arent just routine thrown away when they pile up. Which is sort of a pain in the A when you are dealing with prescriptions. Its not just the faxes from pharmacies though- making appointments can frequently be problematic- Ive had appointments made that werent saved in the system, and had to reschedule them- Ive also had the experience of appointments having been saved for the wrong day and having to correct it later once I receive the day-before call telling me Im supposed to be there. These are all clerical issues, but they are massive headaches. The office just does not have a very strong communication and scheduling system in place. But if you have a great deal of time and patience then its worth it, because they have some fantastic professionals working for them. It would be nice if they could step up their internal organization a bit though.
Wow... the office staff was horrendous. Not worth the trouble in my opinion. Its disappointing that a mental health office has such rude staff answering the phones.
This place is ridiculous! They want a $150 phone payment before they will even take down my information. When I asked what prompted that policy to be in place, if theyd had issues with no shows or what, she rudely cut me off as if I was wasting her time by asking questions. It was clear they very quickly wanted either the money or to hang up. Who cares if the doctors are good or not when the phone staff are driving people away before they can get an appointment?
I have been a patient for years. I could easily find somewhere to go closer to home but the experience, knowledge and professionalism is well worth the trip. Rare in this fast paced world to find any professional office that makes each person feel cared about and special. I see Ms. Hughes but have seen many various people through the years and always felt my drive and time to get there was was worth the visit.
I thank they have all been alsome with my son and daughter n law because my son tryed to od after a death in our family that he was really close to so when we called 911 and they got here they told me to call his psychatric all he said was he. lived with us so we would hafe to do what we thought so what was the purpose of having him if he dosent help when needed but we thank the the world of Dr Simmons he is so understanding
I give 5 stars because of Dr. Reddy, Lisa Poulos, Roger Hymen and Lyn Norris. I know Dr. Reddy runs late and is never “ready” but he’s worth the wait. He genuinely cares and has saved my life several times. Lisa Poulos is awesome and genuine. Roger Hymen has been an excellent therapist for my 20 year old son. My son goes voluntarily bi weekly. Lyn is real! Great therapist!
My review is mainly based on the office staff. You have to call the office back to back until they answer, do not bother leaving a voicemail because they WILL NOT call you back. Every time I walk into that office, my anxiety heightens due to the way I know I’ll be treated by the office staff. When you work in a psychiatric office with people who have mental disabilities, staff should cater to knowing their patients are going through things and should keep their cool at ALL TIMES. The staff seems to not understand the severity of mental issues because instead of being professional, they clap back! I worked for Verizon for 5 years and I’ve gotten called every name in the book but still remained professional. If you ever have any sort of problem, the office staff is automatically on defense and will get an attitude immediately (basing on multiple experiences like this). There were two times I called to cancel an appointment, spoke to someone, and somehow my appointment wasn’t cancelled and I got charged a no show fee. Staff and management fought back and did not believe me until I showed them my call log (after being yelled at and accused of lying for 30 mins). I was also having major issues weaning off my medication and starting a new one, and could not get in touch with staff for days. The pharmacy director is also VERY rude and seems to not care how important it is to get back in a timely manner. They’re supposed to contact you back within 48 hours and it will take a week + to hear back. The only reason I continue to go is because my therapist is great. The review responses on here from management are poorly written, grammatically incorrect, DEFENSIVE, and they pick and choose which part of your complaint they respond to. They claim to investigate the people who have been name dropped, yet those people still work in the office. It blows my mind that they are ok with having their staff worsen the mind of someone who is coming in seeking help.
My experiences with Triad Pysch have all been very positive! From the scheduling of the first appointment, all contact with the front desk, contacts with the pharmacy coordinator, meetings with Roger Hyman and Jo Hughes....all have been professional and comfortable for me. Thank you!
I have been seeing Dr. Reddy for over 7 years and I would not change doctors for anything. I had tried 4 psychiatrists before finding him and seeing that he really cares means a lot. GREAT doctor in my opinion, but he is very popular and you may have to wait beyond your appointment time, but it will be worth it.
I really like the people here, everybody is so nice, and my doctor (Dr.Buttar) has helped me more than even she knows, and my counselor (Rebecca) I love this Lady to death! She is so cool, Im a new man because of Triad Psychiatric! I thank God every day for these people, Love You Guys!
I urgently needed to find a new psychiatrist who accepts Medicare after moving here from Tennessee. My depression was worsening and the medication I was taking did not seem to be working for it anymore. After numerous phone calls and dead ends (most psychiatrists don t accept Medicare!), someone told me to try Triad Psychiatric. Upset and feeling desperate, I called Triad just a few minutes from closing time. Jo was so very patient and kind to me and said they do accept Medicare. She got me calmed down, then found a cancellation in the schedule and got me in for an appointment the very next day! My new psychiatrist Dr. Plovsky was very insightful, prescribed a different medication and referred me to a therapist as well. I feel like Im in good hands now and my future looks much brighter. I recommend this center highly.
This place keeps sending me letters stating I have an unpaid balance and they will pass along to a debt collector. I’ve never even been here before! I’m giving the letter I received to my attorny. Beware of this establishment.
My mom has needed a prescription refill for a month now and after telling them multiple times she still has not gotten a refill on her medicine. Pathetic.
Very professional. Jo listens to me and advises wisely. We’re still tweaking my meds. But we’re going to get there.
This place has the most incompetent office management of any doctors office I have ever dealt with. To echo the concerns of others this place has no appreciation for those who have certain medications that without result in terrible withdrawals symptoms that can be potentially life threatening. I think it is not only the joke of a pharmacy coordinator but the office manager Ms osha Michelle who brags about being employed there for seven years. Obviously this is the problem. These people have no respect for the patients and the sensitive issues that they suffer from. Save your self the visit and go somewhere else, if you dont you may leave worse off than when you walked in.
Ive been going to Triad Psychiatric & Counseling Center for over 10 yrs. Lisa Poulos is my doctor and I adore her, she listens, advises you wonderfully. She is compassionate about helping me with my issues. She prescribes what you need and doesnt just drug you up. She is my 2nd doctor, my first one was wonderful as well, Dr. Pittman, which retired. All the staff I have delt with were all kind and pleasant. My GYN doctor recommended this doctor office and from tat day I was Blessed with a wonderful experience. Thank you Dr. Richard Taavon. I recommend Piedmont Physicatric Center if you need a good Dr. for your mental illness. Thank you Lisa Poulos from my heart.
My psychiatrist is awesome, love her. The check in staff however? Extremely. Extremely rude. Miss Latonia Logan and her supervisor, Ochien Mitchell rolled their eyes at me and refused to listen when they violated federal law. They humiliated me and degraded me. Singled me out in front of the packed waiting area. I have been going to their practice for three years with my service dog, no problems. Today I walked in, and was asked for “certification” for my service dog. According to ADA federal law, there is no such legally recognized thing as a “certification” or “registration” for a service dog, nor are they allowed to ask for one. By federal law, they are allowed two questions. “Is this a service dog required because of a disability?” And “what tasks has the animal been trained to perform to mitigate your disability?” After explaining that there is no registration they told me “ok well bring it next time.” They then checked to see if he was wearing a vest, also not required by federal law. He is a service dog, wether he is wearing his vest or not.
Theres only 2 women most of the time taking phone calls, checking people in, making appointments, dealing with rude people, etc. So if the receptionist is a little rude maybe its youre attitude or theyre a little stressed out, otherwise they are all great and wonderful people doing multiple things at once be patient and understanding.
The actual professionals are great. If you can get past the inept gatekeeping of the staff, that is.
The pharmacy nurse at this practice is always really nasty to my girlfriend over the phone. When a patient calls you with questions about their medication and potential reactions, you dont treat them like theyre idiots. When a patient asks you about your refill policies, there is no need to be rude or obnoxious. My girlfriends specialty is not in medicine and I really resent that she gets verbally abused by an employee of a psychiatric office. Do what I did - go elsewhere.
Lisa Poulos is an excellent clinician. I have had some minor issues with the office staff but they have some new faces now.
The doctors are never on time and can take a while to get your meds of you run out before your appointment or they dont schedule them right
Zero stars - Ofc Manager VERY rude.. Really bad
Excellent service, well experienced professional physicians and staff
Very VERY rude and unprofessional, if I could give a lower rating I would. Charged $300 for not even seeing/talking to anyone
