I was able to learn how to complete an Encapsulation on my home from the DIY videos. I used this training to order the materials needed. The materials were of high quality and very easy to install, the work area wasn’t too tight. I had to change some products I ordered without any problems and was able to return unused material. Samantha was extremely helpful and supportive directing me in my project, which when completed looks great! I will recommend anyone that would want to do this to use Crawl Space Depot. If I can do it, you can too!

Starting with the obligatory - I never write reviews - I just had to post this review straight away! I recently purchased a MegaDry dehumidifier from Crawlspace Depot and upon installation it wasnt working at all - the fan wouldnt run. On internal inspection, I found that the fan assembly was completely damaged and pushed into the cooling/coil assembly. I called the folks at Crawlspace Depot - and just couldnt ask for a better experience!! I spoke with Samantha, who was wonderful, and passed my issue up to the manager. Andrew promptly called me back and immediately assured me that they would send a brand new replacement unit straight away! We talked for a bit and he further assured me that the manufacturer (General Filters) was taking this seriously and was very interested to see the damaged unit. Its always heartening to know that the manufacturer cares. But the folks at Crawlspace Depot -- Friendly, courteous, and professional! Everything you could want from a company that you make a large purchase from!!

Crawlspace Depot delivered all my materials promptly, and the materials themselves were first class. I purchased their 12 mil poly for walls and their 20 mil poly for the floors. I used butyl tape and christmas tree fasteners for securing the walls. Brightened it up with three sets of 5-light LEDs. Installed their sump package that includes the Zoeller M53 pump and purchased a Dranjer Model F-S2 Sump Drain from another source. Had an Electrician install a circuit for it. Decided to forgo the dehumidifier and am conditioning the space with a small vent my HVAC guy installed. So far, the humidity seems to parallel the house at about 30-40%. By far the most tedious part was taping the seams on the 26 pillars. Turned out to be a 6-weekend job. Im 68 yo. As Skip Pickett said, you can do this.

YOU can do this! The nice women in the office helped me narrow down what I needed (I had a good idea after watching all of their videos). I was quoted over $6,100.00 by one of the local crawl space repair companies and I did MORE than what they were offering and I did it BETTER than they would have done it, plus with better plastic... all for under $1,700.00 by dong it myself. Im 55 yrs old, I have very basic skills and I did it all - including sliding the 65lb dehumidifier under there and running PVC pipe to a drain. VERY simple, just a tough environment to work in. Take your time, take some pain reliever and go buy the HIGH QUALITY materials from these folks and skip the big box stores. Again, watch the videos and you will be WAY ahead of the game. YOU CAN DO IT!
