I received at least 10 phone calls from this company. I asked to be removed from their calling list on 3 different occasions. This last time, I asked to be removed once again, at which point the salesperson immediately started talking about what they could offer me and my company, basically talking right over the top of me. If I did that in my business, while talking to a customer, I would be out of business. I stopped this person again, told her I wanted no more calls and hung up on her, as this seemed the only way to stop her spiel. I normally don’t rate businesses or take surveys, but this made me angry. I couldn’t leave a Zero star rating, so a One star it is.

Originally, 1 Star review, received a follow up call from Managing Director apologizing for the hang up and noting that they will improve their process. Really appreciate the follow up and have raised it to 3 Stars. This means that they do care about improving service levels. (And that they would remove me from their call list).Rude. Received unsolicited call trying to sell services to me. Politely said I was not interested and asked to be removed from call list, and they just hung up. Certainly would not use a company with such tactics.

Their employee has been calling my boss all day, every day. We told them we were not interested but they keep calling and emailing. They wont leave a message so we had to block their number.

Overall this was a very positive, useful and encouraging experience. Warren was able to cut through the clutter and reach each of us individually at the level needed to make a difference in our firm. He offered clarity and relevant advice. He was able to keep the process upbeat even when discussing sensitive topics that had been problematic for us. We are already feeling the impacts of his efforts and are optimistic that this endeavor will have a lasting impact on our business. The only reason I didnt award five stars is because I believe a fair amount of time was needed to get a solid understanding of how our business, an architectural firm, operates. The nuances of our practice, I believe, are fairly unique and require special insight to our business needs. However, I would definitely recommend their services

We engaged Cogent Analytics to assist us in advancing our company. After a thorough analytics meeting we decided to proceed and a Project Manager was assigned to our project due to his manufacturing and marketing background.Our project manager quickly began a profit engineering project so that we could know our costs. It was at a critical time, since we were implementing new software, where we had to enter our costs. He worked closely with our Production Manager and Creative Manager on costing and system integration.There were many other advancements for the company including Organization and that is putting position descriptions, performance reviews, job offers and nondisclosures in the file for each employee. We had not done that before.We now have a budget that we did not have before. I am writing a letter of recommendation for the work and time that Cogent Analytics has put into our business. We could not be any happier with their accomplishments. A representative for Cogent Analytics spent five weeks with our company and trained me as well as a few other employees in regards to making decisions to manage the business. Time was spent learning a new quote system, Bidmaster which would allow us to know what the potential profit is on each quote prepared for our customers. We are currently gathering labor data to put the Bidmaster program to work.The project took a turn towards accounting, which I was not expecting, however it was an area that needed attention. Much time was spent cleaning up the accounting program as it had not been set up correctly and therefore the reports generated from it did not provide accurate information. I feel the accounting system has been corrected and we can now accumulate information that will provide accurate cost of goods sold, expenses and profit. This information will allow the business to operate more efficiently and allow for better decisions to be made based on that data. Cogent Analytics spent time training me on specific financial reports in order to analyze the status of the business which would allow me to make appropriate decisions. Should the business be sold, a potential buyer could better evaluate the company based on the corrected accounting information.The primary purpose of bringing in Cogent was to increase sales and find more sales representatives. Cogent spent time training us on sales methods and how to present our product to the customer in order to enhance sales. At this point we have not been able to find more sales representatives or increase sales but we will continue to use the sales methods we were trained in. With persistence and the skills we have learned I am sure we will see positive results in the near future.The Cogent rep was easy to work with and very conscientious. His teaching methods were effective and he was thorough in explaining the tools he gave us to work with. I feel that his presence at our facility has caused a spark in many of the employees. In summary, he was very professional and it was a pleasure to have him working with us for the duration of this project.

During this economic downturn in the Oil and Gas industry, it is important (more than ever) to know your financial situation, break even points and COGS. Your consultant did a great job fixing our Chart of Accounts and going through the entire process with myself and the accounting staff. We have a much clearer conception of what we need to sell our products for and what needs to be included when pricing them.Our company engineers, develops and manufactures products for our customers, so there is more than just buying and selling services or parts. Knowing how to allocate R&D costs and report them will be very beneficial to making decisions going forward.There were numerous tools develiped to help us implement and track our cost, and we now have annual budgets with checks and balances in place, to react before it is too late, thus giving us a great advantage in a tight market.I feel Cogent has done what they promised and has given our company a chance to survive in a market downturn reported to be the worst in 45 years. To put this in context, the oil and gas industry is particularly volatile. Most times it is very good, but as cyclical as it is, we need the tools provided by Cogent, to build our company to last throguh the good times and the bad.

I am a classic Bubba business owner. I am good at what I do, but dont have a grasp on all of the intricacies that make a big difference, especially when experiencing considerable growth. I wanted to take a moment to communicate some thoughts regarding the engagement between Cogent Analytics (CA) and CJC. Our company is in a pivotal place in its lifecycle where my partner and I have needed to be focused on running the business but were faced with the realities of day-to-day management to keep up with demand for our services. We consistently met and discussed actions that we needed to take and hey hires that needed to be made but effective actions proved to be difficult to manage without devoting our full attention to them. We had made some key hires during the year, but still were not moving the needle enough towards change. It is because of this that we decided to investigate CA services after having been called on by your sales team. We engaged reluctantly considering that we felt like we had a fair sense of what to do, but lacked the full time engagment to execute.That said, CAs representative came on board with our engagement and has been a delight to work with. I have been able to crystalize our needs having the benefit of hind sight: a) we needed someone to make it their days mission to solely focus on the organization and process changes internally, b) fresh perspective from someone with experience with similar companies solving similar problems and c) a symbolic change agent to drive buy-in and adoption. In Cogent Analytics we got all these things. They have brought a calming hand to help usher in change in a manner that has conveyed credibility to our management team and all personnel.

I have enjoyed working with Ivan Jirak the past four weeks. At the beginning of the project, he guaranteed a 2:1 ROI on the investment. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at the beginning, but he more than delviered what he promised. He put in place an excel program to control our labor productivity in the company departments, which was out of linke with current sales. Thanks to Ivans labor budgets, we made changes to our labor pool resulting in an annual savings of $268,000.Ivan is currently enhancing the excel program to help us manage other areas of the company. These include: AR collection, evaluate profitability of all sales, products, product lines and customers, and generate Lexmark rebates with a click of a button. Once completed, this will no doubt save CEL a lot of additional money.A lot of progress has been made the past four weeks, however there is still much work to be done. Ivan needs to put together the KPIs for my management team, as well finishing their training. I hope to have him back in the next few weeks so he can finish the project.I am extremely happy with the deliverables and have no qualms about referring business your way. I definitely plan on using Cogent when future needs arise.
