Just picked my Panamera Turbo up after some extensive preventative/service done as well as a few annoyances. Excellent work! Friendly staff with super clean facilities. They have serviced my M5 in the past as well. Always happy with work performed. Would highly recommend their services.
Halfway into a suspension upgrade on my BMW Z4 (E89), I realized that I didnt have a large enough torque wrench to complete the job. I needed an oil change and some other work done, so I opted to farm it all out.Carr was recommended by several acquaintances. Ive owned BMWs for ~20 years and picked a Z4 up a little over a year and a half ago here in Greensboro. Since then, I have been looking for a local independent european car shop in the Greensboro area. Due to poor experiences with the Greensboro dealership, I had been driving to the dealer in Winston for service. Its probably worth noting that Carr is the third independent european shop that Ive used or tried to use in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem area. The initial phone interaction was stellar. Im pretty sure that every person on staff there has to be technical - every person I spoke with was a level above the service advisor or reception person that you would see at a dealer or independent. I was able to get down to business quickly as a result, they provided an extremely competitive phone estimate, and my car was an unscheduled dropped off at lunchtime the same day. By 5pm, it was ready to go (and the total matched up with the phone estimate - no nickel and diming here!). I came by the following morning to pick it up and spoke with Tom Carr. Tom is just as friendly and customer focused as his staff, from his sage advice regarding walnut blasting the intake valves of my BMW N54 engine (money saving and technical advice), to his appreciation of our four legged co-pilots (that aided in the initial drop-off).As an enthusiast owner, fastidious probably doesnt even begin to accurately describe the level of detail I demand. I usually prefer to do my own maintenance and repairs because of this (everything except fluid changes). When a third party works on my car, I check behind everything that was touched when it rolls back in the garage. Ive literally asked for missing zip ties after service work by the dealership, if that gives you any idea... After getting the car back home and up in the air, I was thrilled to see that the quality of work and attention to detail exceeded my expectations (a first in the Greensboro area). I also was impressed with the shops default choice of fluids and filters here - Liqui Molly w/OEM filters and gaskets. After a year and a half of searching, Ive finally found my go-to shop.
Fantastic experience as always. No matter what is wrong with your car tom and ryan and their team of mechanics will always get the job done quickly and efficiently!!!
Thanks to Tom & John for getting my 645CI running smooth. I traveled from Charlotte, NC and definitely satisfied with the work. Will post pics after it returns from body shop I will be rolling soon. That was me on a late night pickup. Just in case anyone needs to go to Carr Industries Inc from Charlotte NC call Tom.
Can not thank Mr. Carr, Jon, the service techs and all the helpful other people in the shop enough they were AMAZING! Took my BMW to another shop (BAD MISTAKE!!!) to have the valve cover (with the valve cover gasket) and the valvetronic motor replaced. They royally screwed it up where by the time I came home and car was parked over night there was a puddle of oil on the ground and the car was misfiring and the shop that did the work wouldn’t warranty their own work! Had a friend recommend Mr. Carr. Called and spoke to Mr. Carr and spoke to him about my situation and he was AMAZING and he told me to bring the car in and he would take a look at it before the end of the day! Had it towed to the shop this morning (8/31) around 10:30, dropped it off and was expecting them to have it looked at by the end of the day and fixed in a 1-2 days. BY MY SURPRISE Mr. Carr called me around 3:30 in the afternoon just 5 hours after I dropped it off and told me the car was REPAIRED AND RUNNING PERFECTLY!!! The AMAZING guys at Carr Industries has my car DIAGNOSED AND FIXED IN UNDER 5 HOURS!!! They should me how badly the other shop messed up where the gasket they replaced was sticking a good 4 inches out of the valve cover WHERE IT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE!!! I CAN NOT THANK THE GUYS AT CARR INDUSTRIES ENOUGH!!! I have found my new BMW forever go to shop to get ALL MY WORK DONE!!!
The most trustworthy mechanics in the world.
Tom Carr and his staff are the most knowledgeable I have ever encountered in the industry. If your not taking your vehicle to Carr Industries you are not only paying for recommendations not needed but over paying for what you get---dealerships cant hold a candle to Carr Industries professionalism, knowledge and pricing. It is nice having someone to trust.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Will return for service needs.
I cant thank Carr Industries and their employees enough. All the employees there are friendly and happy to help. They all have a clear passion for cars and its great talking to them. I recently bought a 2008 Mercedes CL63 AMG. It needed some routine maintenance and they serviced my car at a very fair price. Two weeks ago the ESP control module of my car starting to act up and flash lights at me and I lost power steering. I took it to another local mechanic that services German cars as well. Once they saw the AMG badge they were happy to give me a $1500 bill to replace the ESP control module with a $200 markup on the part and $200 extra unnecessary labor. And they were also happy to recommend an additional $3000 in brake fluid flushes, coolant flushes, fuel injection cleaning, spark plug changes, etc. I declined the repairs at that shop.I took my car back to Carr and they reprogrammed my existing ESP module in an hour for $105 saving me $1395. I am blown away by their honesty. He could have easily replaced the module and made a lot more money out of me but he didnt. They have my business for life and I will recommend more people to him.
Carr Industries specializes in European car repair and they are definitely experts. I have brought them several very challenging problems on my Mercedes with well over 400,000 miles. While they may have had to improvise they never shied away from the challenge and easily solved the problem each time.Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience! The guys were super friendly, very professional, and provided several services for a super fair price! Im so glad I was able to connect with them!
Brought my E90 M3 there for a paddle shift issue. I tried to fix the issue myself and ended up spending more money trying to self diagnose. A fellow BMW enthusiast referred me there. I brought the car in, and ended up talking all things BMW with them and about tracking cars at VIR. They finished in record time less than 1 day and told me exactly what happened and what they fixed. I am very picky about my car. I think i found my shop and if I cant fix it. I will be bringing it there. I do seriously reccomend.
Tom Carr the owner, is very honest about whatever it is you need to know about your vehicle; and his mechanics does great work.
Great services cant beat it nor top the great hospitality the provides. The owner his VERY GREAT AND KIND
Had my lower half of my engine replaced and rebuilt by Carr Industries and my 335i drives good as new. Much better pricing than other nearby shops, and the mechanics know what they’re doing without a doubt. Very knowledgeable to say the least. The owner Tom is a great guy along with the staff is extremely friendly and willing to explain in detail what’s wrong with your car. Would highly recommend going here if you own a BMW.
As always Tom and team took fantastic care of me and my car! I cannot say enough good things about them
It was a great experience were good people being very professional price is reasonable the communication was great you got service with a smile ❤️🙂😌☺️
Great work, they really care about your vehicle! Highly recommend
They know what they are doing for sure
The only place i will take my cars for service, maintenance, and PPIs!
I love Tom and the mechanics working there. My son even bought his first car from Tom and learned about cars and maintenance. I found Carr Industries right after another autoshop tried to recommend a service I just received. Ive been at Carr every since and have bought multiple vehicles and brought them all here for service. No one in Italian shoes trying to up-sell me!Save time and money... Start at Carr Industries!!!
Need work done right and affordable this where you need to be very experienced and knowledgeable group and always goes above and beyond!
I have been taking my 1998 BMW 540 with 183K miles to Carr Industries for 8 years (since I moved to Greensboro). Best automotive repair service ever! Tom takes responsibility for everything in his shop. He gives very helpful advice. I trust him implicitly. Great guy, great service! No complaints at all.
Great place to get your car worked on.
Tom and his staff for quite professional they can handle most any of your needs
Tom and his crew are great - theyve worked on my 944S2 and Boxster S recently and they both are running like new now. Their prices are fair and they do a great job of keeping you informed as to the status of work being done. Plus their transferable warranty of 2 years/24000 miles is unheard of!
I would not recommend this business to anyone.
Tom Carr has been an independent service facility specializing in BMWs for 30 years. His passion for the cars and experience make him a valuable resource for service on your car. I own a 1970s 2000 touring, and I can get first rate service and maintenance of this classic car that you cannot find in many shops. A BMW has a long useful life, and Carr Industries can keep it in top condition to protect your investment.
Total experts in BMW M cars. Quality, trust, and technical expertise is always top notch.
Tom and his guys are wonderful! After taking my vehicle to another location and spending $2500 for services that were not rendered, I lost trust for all mechanics...until I was referred to Carr Industries by a co-worker. Tom is a great guy and I will never take my BMW to another repair shop. He has never steered me wrong and never suggests repairs I dont need. Once I didnt have enough cash on me to pay for my repairs and he told me it was okay, I could pay him the next time I came in for service but after I left I immediately went to the bank so I could pay him. He didnt have to do that, but it attest to the kind of man he really is!
Tom and his team have serviced my car for almost 12 years and 140000 miles. They know what they are doing and they get it done when they say they will. I trust these guys and I highly recommend Carr Industries to anyone looking for a long term relationship that will keep their car running well.
Register my battery quickly and cheap. Thanks 👍
Best guys around for Minis...hi GB holy recommend!!!
I live this place. Tom and his employees are spot on. And know EXACTLY what they are doing.
Expensive . Adequate service.
I cant speak highly enough of Carr Industries. Great work, great customer service and very honest. I had brought my car in for a 2nd opinion and found out that 1 of the 3 repairs was completely fabricated. Tom and his crew saved me over 1.6K. 10/10.
Awesome service
Brought my BMW 328i here after a coworker recommended it. Had just spent $1500 at Crown BMW for a new sensor which did not fix the problem. Brought it here and all it needed was a software update that Crown should have done a year ago. Tom charged me for 1 hour of work and problem solved. If you are looking for someone honest who can fix your BMW, this is the place.
Have been dealing with Tom for a while was informed to bring my vehicle in today and he would have a loaner vehicle for me to utilize. I drove over an hour away to get here for him to tell me that he only has one vehicle to loan out and its for someone tomorrow. This was extremely unprofessional. Disappointed and may not be returning which saddens me.
Great customer care environmentally conscious, Fair pricing
You have a Porsche, Audi or BMW and it’s out of factory warranty do yourself a favor and take it to Tom Carr. You will get the best and knowledgeable service around. Thanks Tom!
Left my car in the morning for an oil change, I told Thomas I was going to pick the car up at 3:15, and he said ohh yea no problem I’ll be done, went to pick my car and they were just driving my car inside of the shop! And Thomas excuse was sorry Sr my guys took from 1pm to 2pm lunch.... this is the second time something happens.... first time I took my brothers audi for an oil change and whoever was the mechanic forgot to tie the oil filter, after we left the one te car was spilling oil everywhere!!
Been friends since 1990.
Nice friendly staff. Amazing car knowledge and extremely helpful
Want better than dealer quality service on your german car and pay 1/3 less? Tom Carr is the guy for you. The dealer in W/S quoted me $450 for my 55K service. Toms bill was $306. And he knows what he is doing.
Dropped my brother off for his car. Turnaround was quick.
VERY VERY POOR....VERY POOR … Avoid this auto repair shop like the plague. This guys is one of the best con artists in the business he will tell you what you want to hear to get you into the door completely misdiagnosed my car charged me a ton of money and the problem is still not fixed yet. Service is VERY POOR and mechanics are lazy and unaware of the problems of your vehicle. Will not recommend to anyone that owns a German automobile
Truly a business that cares about their customers and puts the customer first. Very knowledgeable and professional!
Quality service! Great people and nice environment!
Great operation, well organized!
This is the best and most honest shop you will find in the area. Tom is always upfront and honest with me and he does everything to save you a dollar or more. I brought my 911 there before I sold it, I currently bring my Cayenne there and my Jaguar XKR. I had a problem recently with the Cayenne and a part needed to be replaced. Original Porsche Part: 860 USD. Tom did some research for 2 days and found the exact same part from Audi, had it brought in and the cost was 83 USD. I am very happy with the service I receive there and for someone to take a few hours and find a part that saved me that much money will keep my business for a very long time. You can not go wrong with Tom and his shop! Highly recommend!
Tom is a first class Christian brother, would recommend to anyone with Bmw, Mercedes Etc:
