TLDR: The employees and their owner are extremely disrespectful. Do not rent through this company.They sent mine and my roommate’s security deposit refund as one check which was fine until I found out we couldn’t cash it at my bank. Was asked if I’d like to shred the check because it was useless, I agreed, and a month later I called Century 21 to ask if they could write 2 separate split checks for my roommate and I. Instead of being helpful and letting me know if they would rewrite the checks, they were immediately more concerned with the shredded check, like it mattered. They wanted my bank information and were harassing the bank about *why* the check was shredded, again, like it freaking matters. Anyone who knows how money works would know you can check records to see if a check has been cashed, cancel the check, and write another. Do they just keep the deposits of people that lose checks?? Have they never had to rewrite a check before?? I was not asking for this process to be immediate but they were speaking to me in a rude manner like I was trying to scam them. If I could cash the check originally I would not be calling them to rewrite it. Honestly, train your people better with customer service and maybe a bit of financial work considering they don’t know how checks work.Edit for the owner: My issue was with how I was spoken to and how the process was made difficult for everyone involved. Berating me for not having a check, whether it was lost or shredded, and then calling banks to “verify” when you could check your own records is unnecessary. I told them my bank’s name before they said they would be calling asking for the banks policies. I would not give the address because there is no reason to harass the banks over a shredded check. They would know there wouldn’t be an issue with future checks if they had listened to me when I explained it would need to be 2 separate checks to resolve the issue. Posting this review 20 minutes after the call doesn’t change how the situation was handled and having the owner call me afterwards to continue to berate me explains why your employees think they can treat customers like this. By the way, calling my roommate and accusing me of fraud, really professional. I will not be removing my review.

If you rent form them be sure to take pictures and notes BEFORE you sign the lease to protect your hard earned money when you decide to move out. I read other reviews about this company before we rented from them. Some good, some bad. Lets just say that Brian seems to be a very nice, respectful person that you can talk with. The rental staff, not so much. This is a poster they have hanging on the wall of their office....

Friendly staff. Had no problems... (update) rented from them for a little over a year. Buildings arent up to fire code, leaking toilet, stoves spark when turned on. Tried contacting them multiple times even contacted Brian Mcamus with no response. Couldnt even give me a simple answer to anything. When i called about repairs i was retaliated against over my service dog. DO NOT RECCOMENT cant wait to get out of this place. Sure i wont ever see my deposit again.

I rent from Century 21 Legacy, and I highly recommend them! Any time I needed something fixed they had someone out by the next day. Someone came out every 3 months to spray for any critters. And I have the option to pay the rent three ways. 1. In office 2. By mail or 3. (my favorite) By their easy online fast to download app that I pay by phone! On February 5, 2020 the heavy rain that Kingsport,TN. had flooded the rental I had from them. They found my family and I a new home, and re-homed us into another rental all charges on them!

WARNING!!! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR HARD EARNED INVESTMENT!!! This company allowed my home in Johnson City to be trashed! I was lied to over and over about an inspection date. The tenants broke the no pet contract with no repercussions, there was even feces in last inspection report pics on inside of my home. People were living there that shouldnt have been and not on list, which I brought to managements attention and nothing ever done. These people did nothing, but collect a check and allow my home to be trashed. One of the brokers even made me sign release form before she gave me my security deposit. They also tried charging me for the enormous amounts of trash left in front, back yard and in home and storage shed! I am a Christian and have no reason to lie and wish I was leaving a positive review. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THAT COST ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!

Listed a House way above comps. in the neighborhood that had been bought out of foreclosure and then flipped, accepted our offer, once the appraisal came back it was way less than our offer and would refuse to drop the price anymore, listed the house with a broken heat pump, leaking shower, and a broke toilet. Basically cost me a home inspection and appraisal for nothing! I hope the house sits on the market for months! This is a terrible was to do business as a realtor or as a seller!

I highly recommend Mike and Laura. They are amazing people, and are extremely knowledgable and helpful realtors. You will not be disappointed with your experience, whether youre buying or selling your home.

Put me into a dangerous house that was previously a meth manufacturing house without telling us. Had a previous tenant break in, had a flooded basement the whole year we were there without ever fixing it, did not respond to our work request, lost our rent money on 2 occasions, were extremely rude, lied about multiple things with the rental property, the house was structurally unsound, and finally it has a mold problem that destroyed multiple items in the house totaling over 2000 in damages and now will no longer respond and will not fix the problem. If you rent from Brian McAmis you will be throwing your money away. They are not a good rental agency and should not be in business.
