Wife and I stopped in early this week to shop x500s. Wife and I stood at two machines outside for 15-20 minutes discussing the pricing and model differences. No one came out of store to greet us. There were NO other customers there. We walked into the showroom to see if there were other models inside. Saw and heard salespeople talking amongst themselves. No on approached us. We dont like pushy sales people, but given the number of comments about not being helped, Im not surprised we left without interacting with anyone. Owner doesnt need to respond to this review, needs to respond to staff.
Loaded John Deere lawn tractors. Good place to load. They get yah loaded and gone in a good timely fashion.
We have a JD 1023E with about 60 hours on it. This is a great little tractor when it runs. Our tractor has been in the shop 4 times. The first time the transmission case was cracked. Supposedly tech fixed after having in shop for a month.. Let run 2 hrs with no leaks.. Went to pick up. Still leaking. Had to leave it for more repairs. Put tractor in shop 3rd time. Leaking again. They had it for another month. Went to use tractor and it cranked and ran fine. Starting hooking loader. Switched off tractor to hook hydraulic hoses and would not crank. Once again it is in the shop. They picked it up on Tuesday and today (Friday) they have not looked at it. They will try to get to it next week. They should be making payments since they have it more than we do. It is time to do yard work and gardening. Meade Tractor your maintenance department needs an overhaul.
I went in to meade tractor in greenville looking for a tractor, there was no pressure on what tractor to buy or what size i meed. Good people over there would buy from them again
Got there before 12 to get information on a tractor with attachments. They locked doors and ignored me and walked away. So I went down to kabota they were closed but the Gentlemen unlocked the door asked if he could help. I told him what I was looking for and spent 5 min with me getting the information I asked for. There getting my business not John Deere. Amazing what 5 min can do.
Holiday weekend had people backed out the door trying to get parts. Parts department is experiencing backordered and delays in deliveries.
Clean. Courteous staff. Had part in stock. Fair price.
You would be better off watching every youtube video & googling until your fingers bled so you can fix it yourself than to waste your time asking these guys to fix anything. waited 6 months for them to fix a tractor, they were several hundred dollars over their worst case quote & they sent the tractor back with it still throwing codes.
Dont expect parts department to stock your part. Most of the time, parts come out of Atlanta, and can take up to a week or more.
They jumped right to helping me with my questions & they answered them all!! Friendly service

Wanted a Stihl chainsaw. They didnt have the one I wanted. Went to a competitor locally that had 2 of the one I wanted. Experience at the other place was terrible and I walked out. Asked Lori at meade to hold the saw when it came in. It was in within days.. Couldnt be happier with their friendliness and customer service. Went back after having trouble sharpening the chain myself. They walked me through the problem. Great place to do business

Stood around the showroom for the last 20-30 minutes... one person said someone would be with me shortly. Never happened! I’m buying a compact tractor... Gonna look at other brands or maybe try Meade at Kingsport, just try to do business close to home...

Called before I went. Looking to buy a new mower. They never came out as me and my wife looked at virtually every mower while they watched us through the glass. I bought a brand new JD mower somewhere else. Ill never go back cause they dont need my money.

The part people are very friendly the price was a little more but I guess. If you want the good stuff you have to pay the price I tried after market one but didnt last no time so that money up in smoke
I called this place several times for a part and was put on hold and hung up on every time after waiting for 10 minutes each time. The customer service is HORRIBLE!
Since our JD dealer closed we have to drive 30+ miles to Meade. Nice back road drive though. Meade is a big dealership. Nice store. Nice people.

I went to Meade Tractor in Nov-Dec 2017 for the first time.It was as my intention to buy a John Deere 570 or 580 lawn tractor. They ran between $62-6700.00.Rarely do I see a company in this day and age not help a customer spend their money. These people were so cavalier, take it or leave attitude that ultimately, I left without buying anything.I had asked for a discount as it was between Thanksgiving and Christmas and I couldn’t imagine many people walking in to buy a lawn tractor in this winter season and offering to pay cash to boot. The attitude was pathetic and no they wouldn’t discount a cent!I wound up buying a John Deere at Lowe’s.Lowe’s forget to deliver on my delivery date and to call me to let me know. They then parked my “NEW” 170 out back in the rain and snow telling me it was ok outside. I asked if they lived in a house because they were designed to be outside too. Imagine paying over $2000.00 and they forget to deliver and then they leave it outside. When they did deliver the hood was damaged, the bumper scratched and the right front tire was flat. I cancelled the sale.So much for John Deere.I bought a Simplicity Conquest, a great mower, but in my heart I wanted that John Deere 570.Stupid huh!!I went back to Meade the “only” John Deere dealer out here, after talking to their regional manager and explaining my disdain for how I was treated there. We agreed upon a price and I went to get it.I called talked to a rep and said I was on my way.I wrote a check, signed papers and waited for the delivery.On the day of delivery, several days later, I phoned to double check as they hadn’t confirmed with me and I couldn’t get through as their internet and phones were down. So, I went there to find this out and also found out their delivery truck was also out, it was as in the shop being repaired.What business, operates with no phones, no internet and no truck???Everyone has a cell phone, but they didn’t “think” to call their customers and let them know about the delivery or pick up issue!While there my sales rep was with a customer, so I got to work with an amazing fellow David Boatman!He is the “only” saving grace in that store.Professional, courteous and treats you as if he appreciates your business.What an asset!!Well, I kept going back to my sales rep office and where he could see me. It would be nice to have the warranty and instruction books and a key. When his prospect left, I went over to see him, but he w by in a phone call right away. So much for appreciation from the rep that got a $64-6500.00 cash sale.No time to say thanks, no thank you note in the mail, nothing! What a pathetic disgrace, but a man following his leadership (manager)!David Boatman got me the items I wanted. I asked for a John Deere hat and was told I would have to buy one! Imagine spending $64-6500.00 and I had to buy a $10-12.00 hat with the John Deere logo on it because they don’t feel it should be a good gesture and advertising.I’m sorry they are the only vender for John Deere in this area!David Boatman should be running that operation or be somewhere where his attitude and professionalism are utilized and appreciated.I don’t like the attitude of Meade tractor in Greeneville TN!Many people I have met here say the same.Why hasn’t someone from th much higher echelon fixed this?Obviously the current powers that be don’t see a problem!!!
