Its a good place to rent a car the service was good and friendly.
We rented a Jeep Compass (originally it was supposed to be a Rav4) we upped our rental by 1 day and they were accommodating which was very nice. I usually do not opt for any extra coverage when renting because my car insurance covers everything but when walking around the vehicle I could tell general maintenance had not been performed on this vehicle in quite some time, the front tires were very worn in inside to the point there were slick spots. When we opened the doors I pointed out that someone had smoked in there since there were ashes in small piles in the bolt areas for the seats(the very sweet agent said that was dust) when I got in I noticed some sticky spots so I basically detailed and disinfected the vehicle before we took off, since I dont have an air compressor I never was able to get the ashes out of the seat bolts 🤷♀️ I have never had this issue when renting from Plainfield or Indy, maybe the smaller towns just dont have maintenance set up? I didnt make a complaint, just took care of the issue and made sure to wipe everything down when we delivered it so in case I had left lotion or aloe anywhere no one had to deal with it lol. The agents were super nice, I would just make sure if you dont want to pay for roadside or 100% coverage you check everything out before you leave the lot.
The Greencastle location might be small, but the employees are super friendly, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have been going here for 5 years now, and will continue to do so.We rented a full size car for a week, and was given a 2019 Kia Optima. Awesome gas mileage! Went over 400 miles without putting gas in it.Thank you again!!
Rented a Van, picked up and was told the car wash had broken so the exterior of the vehicle was dirty. Also found empty bottles and trash in the vehicle when I brought the van home to pack up for the trip. No big deal, I can deal with that. However I was shocked to see I had a $100 cleaning fee after returning my vehicle. The purpose of the rental was to shuttle my family to florida and back. So yes there was sand and maybe some dirt on the floor mats. Enterprise website claims there may be a fee to pay for excessive cleaning or special cleaning products. $100 seams unreasonable for a simple sweep out job. Probably my last enterprise experience.
Always great service! Please check the existing plate on the car, the last rental i had, plates were expired. Overall, great customer service.
Helped me get into a vehicle on short notice. No complaints there. Rented a vehicle with damage on it, was marked moderate but was then reported as severe damage. Got the damage waiver for my long drive. When I got to my return location I was accused of damaging the vehicle on the reported spot. If I didn’t have the waiver they would’ve charged me due to their own negligence. Communication between branches is positively pathetic.
Waited an hour just to drop off the keys, which took a whole 30 seconds by the way.

I got there at 9 the person wasnt there...the number on the door was incorrect...he didnt get back til 9:30..i had to be at work at 10:30 and it was an hour drive..then the car wasnt ready...at all...then it barely had gas..i was late to work because of this....no apologies were given no discounts for my inconvenience were offered...
I rented from Enterprise through their FBO Delivery team, which arranges for car rentals at small airports. This team provides great customer service, which is refreshing these days.My car was delivered to the Greencastle, IN (KGPC Putnam County Regional) airport ahead of my arrival, and everything went great. We made a last minute change on a Spring Break SUV rental (VERY busy time for them) and they handled the change very well. Daniel Dieckmann was extremely helpful and made sure we got the vehicle we needed, when we needed it. Customer service was top notch and Daniel even followed up after our vacation to make sure everything went well and to thank us for our business. GREAT JOB!!We will definitely use York/Enterprise for all of our future rental needs!!
Perfect experience.I got a new Toyota Corolla for the lowest rate. They even offered a nice pickup truck if I wanted for the same price. Great way to do weekend shopping in Indy. The gas $$ saved practically paid for the rental.Staff was excellent. Car was exactly what I needed. Kyle picked me up in a fancy car and made everything quick and easy. He was fun to chat with too.I was very surprised to find an affordable professional rental service in Greencastle. I highly recommend Enterprise @ York.

This place had absoltuely been the worst car rental experience I have ever had. First we were given false information from a poorly trained front desk woman. Then we had a reservation and the man said to be here at 7 am. Our travel plans were postponed by one day. A domino effect of inconveniences ensued between babysitters and relatives and people travelling out of state for a family event. Places were booked for this event, plans were made a few weeks in advance and then lo and behold after making up for their mistake and knocking this and that fee off, we still havent even met or communicated with Brandon the man whom we were supposed to pick our rental up from at 7 am this morning. In fact, when we arrived we sat here for an hour before anyone even came to open the store and now he is unreachable at both local branches. Now our chance of making it to our family event is gone and I strongly advise anyone wanting to rent a car to go ANYWHERE but here unless you want your plans to be completely disregarded and disrespected. If i could put 0 stars I would. Thank you Greencastle Enterprise for completely shattering a weekend with family that has been planned for a month. Wasting our money, our time, and filling many people with disappointment. This is a failure of a company and customer service.
After having a very bad experience at the Airport location, due to the Manager, NOT the employees, this location at York Chevrolet did everything he could to help me.
I cannot say enough great things about the Greencastle Enterprise. We use them a few times a year and have never had any issues and the service is always top notch. So thankful to have a friendly, reliable rental service in town!
Exactly as agreed, nice vehicle, good experience. They asked, once, about everything we might need, then didnt push it (insurance, etc). So, they made sure we were safe and prepared for the trip, but no hard sell on anything. New, clean Town and Country minivan, drove 6 of us to Montreal and back comfortably. Will call them again.
I bought my truck from York and not long after it got hit so i took it back to the body shop there and had it fixed (great service there too) York has Enterprise on site and you can get the rental vehicle without to having to go to another place. And the guys at Enterprise were fenomanal as well. If your looking for a total package of awesome service dont look anywhere else. A+ IN my books.
Very nice Tahoe. Was exactly what we wanted. The vehicle was in great condition and we had a wonderful vacation. Would rent from them again without a doubt.
I would highly recommend any and everyone who is in need of a rental to go to the enterprise in greencastle anyday of the week. They are awesome there and very friendly and eager to please.
Good people but need more cars
My truck broke down on the way home from vacation after getting towed to a shop they picked me up got me on my way. When I found out that the repairs were going to major and time consuming and that I wouldn’t be back for the truck for a week + Kyle at enterprise setup up drop off at my home town branch and waived the drop off fee
Worst services ever---do not waste your time with them, dont make booking with them hopping to get car here. they do not answers phones and went out of business,

Called ahead, set up reservation, showed up at 4:30, the office was already closed, they left a phone number, on a piece of paper, on the door, then called him and assistant manager said, he wasnt coming back and they didnt have a vehicle for me, and so, I didnt get my reservation taken care of, very poor service, closing early and talked to me, totally rude, never again, will I go through, Enterprise and Ive been using them for over 30 years, you lost a great customer, sorry, your fault shity assistant manager.
