This place is amazing, supportive, helpful, and very informative. After being in the worst relationship of them all, I sought out help here. I didn’t feel safe anywhere I went. I utilized a few different services, however I find myself thanking my counselor/therapist all the time and knew a review was a must. If you’re feeling anxious, nervous, scared, ashamed, don’t. Everyone in this building is sweet, kind, loving, and compassionate. I am so blessed to this day to have had the counseling/therapy I did that taught me about red flags and toxic behaviors, Amongst many other things as well as digging into my past, and realizing why it seemed things happened to me how they did. If it hadn’t been for the Golden house, I have no idea where I would be today. But because of them, not only have I become stronger, more sensible in my choice of people, and more confident in everything in life, but I have been able to help so many other people who are going through abusive situations. Thank you golden house 💜

The Golden House accepted my classes offer to do periodic volunteering as a service project for our college course. They were extremely kind and informative. I could tell that the place was run well and the staff cared about their work. I think the Golden House is a terrific and necessary asset to the community and I want to thank them for allowing me to be a part of the positive impact they have on peoples lives. I have never been here. However I know some folks who have. This is a very safe place to go for folks who are being abused. This place is filled with a lot of people who are very caring and filled with love and respect and compassion. If you are in an abusive relationship and need help do yourself a favor and go here.

Considering their public policy states that men would be housed in a local hotel, I was turned away in the middle of a dv situation and denied service because they didnt have any space available on location. I am a male, the space on-site should not have been relevant.

This facility should be called the house of angels. The staff is so sweet, nice, caring, compassionate, wonderful, etc..... They will help you with anything that thay can and if they cant they will find someone who can. It is wheelchair accessible, being in one mysel, I had no problems getting around. This is a safe loving place for women in a domestic violence situation to come. God lead me here and I know it was where I needed to be at that time. I now have my own place, a divorce in action, and health care. Without this place I dont know where I would be or what would have or what would still be happening to me.

Amazing facility that offers so much to abused women. Such as: shelter, group meetings, and a legal advocate. They gave me the tools to regain my strength and self-esteem.
