After the second transmission failure on our 2006 Saturn Vue, it was time to part company with our beauty with over 300k miles. Good fast service and better price than other salvage yards were offering with scrap metal priced so low/ton. Our kids were hit head-on by a lady texting and driving, and while we thank the Lord everyone was relatively okay, our van was totaled. First time ever dealing with this and C4C gave us the best price as well as picked it up the same day I called. Not sure of the mans name, but he took the time to ask how our kids were as hed heard about the accident, and obviously saw the result.

Honesty is not something that you find often in the car industry. But let me tell you, Craig is one of the most honest people I have ever had the pleasure to do business with, even when it cost him money/time. To say that I am impressed with his service is such an understatement - I am impressed with his character and the standard to which he holds himself and therefore his business.The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind. I got into my first car accident, where I swerved on the highway and crashed into the railing right before Tower Drive Bridge starts. It was terrifying, but luckily no one was hurt. My car was towed to Auto Select on Main, and they told me my car had $1800 worth of damage - something with the gas tank and axle, I believe? Im not sure. I dont know anything about cars, so I am usually in the unfortunate position of needing to trust the experts.So the thing was totalled. Craig towed the car to his shop and planned to crush it. (Right away on the phone, before he towed my car, Craig warned me that he wouldnt be able to pay me much, because scrap prices are down. Honesty point #1.)When I got to Cash 4 Cars to get my stuff out of the vehicle, Craig told me that he thought my car would be an easy fix. The gas tank was fine... He just thought it was the rear strut. Auto Select swindled me, but Craig was willing to check out the car and fix it for, as he said, probably under $500. He would even take a look at the car and give me an estimate so that I could make my decision, free of charge.I told him Id think about it. At this point, Id already had quite the week, and I was frustrated. Plus, my apartment doesnt allow rust/dented cars, so even if Craig fixed the car for me, I wouldnt be able to keep it. Eventually, I called him back and told him to go ahead and crush it, even though it would be a waste of a vehicle...And then the next day, I changed my mind because my cousin wanted the car.Through all of this - the back and forth of my decisions, the week that my car spent just sitting in his lot - Craig was a complete gentleman. He went above and beyond what he had to do, even when he would no longer be getting the scrap metal from my car. He even moved my plates to my new vehicle for me. He also offered to save parts of a different Stratus he was getting to help my cousin out, who will be fixing the vehicle for himself (which, by the way, my cousin was able to drive my car off the lot...so Craig was correct in his diagnosis of the vehicle and of Auto Selects dishonesty). And when I tried to tip Craig as a thank you, he refused to accept my money, because he told me, Well, I only did what any normal person would do.Craig runs a company that you can trust. He lives by honor and therefore works with honor. I would recommend him for any service he offers - because not only does he have expertise in his area...hes simply trustworthy.Thank you, Craig, for everything. In these past couple weeks of chaos, you have been a light.
