We have been going to Bike Peddler for years - repairs, two bike purchases, and many accessories. Andy, Robert, and Drew are patient and extremely knowledgeable about cycling. I couldnt ask for a better bike shop, Mahalo.
Robert was very professional and helped me with two of our bikes. Very reasonably priced. Will be returning for all our bikes needs😊
One star, because negative 5 isn’t an option.Owner was beyond rude to me, and was certain to point out that he was indeed the owner.I came into the shop with a tubeless wheel set that had a broken bead, all I needed was for the bead to be re-seated with a compressor as I had shipped a bike to Greeley. I walked in and asked if they could air my tires up, the young lady at front informed me that yes they could but it would be 3-4 hours 😮 and that I could drop them off and await a call. I replied “can you just please air my tires really quick?”Then the owner / mechanic came out from the back and said very rudely to me “just bring them here since you are pressing the issue”. I handed off my wheel set one had a broken bead the other was still intact. He added sealant to both and re seated the bead on both. When he was done he advised the front desk how much, I got a bill for $40.00. I’m not complaining about the price although it did seem a bit high for what I needed, but I’m always happy to support LBS - a good LBS.This is when he also told me “don’t come in here making demands of us, we don’t need that!” - in an extremely rude and belittling manner 😮. He also said “next time you need…….” I stopped listening at this point because no way in hell will there ever be a next time! I will walk 80 miles barefoot before I ask Bike Peddler for any help. It’s just really disappointing that the owner is not a tiny bit more customer service orientated. Now I know why everyone in Greeley drives to Boulder, Loveland, or Fort Collins to deal with a bike shop.PS dear owner, you need to chill bro weed is legal in your state, have a puff please!
Im from this Town and I remember the original location fondly. Upon returning to town I had brought my Bike and needed some minor repairs. I experienced the same issues many 1 star reviews have had. The tech was pretty rude off the first encounter. It almost seems like hes burnt out on what he does, I know these types of people well. If you cant treat your customer base with respect and understanding...the customer base will simply dwindle. With that said, I was charged $145 for a tire patch and valve stem replacement. An $80-90 job at most. These are automotive prices for simple fixes. I wont be returning to this shop ever again. Job was done well enough ..which is the only reason Im offering 2 stars. #1 change your attitude or lose your shop #2 lower those prices a tad for God sake. I can respect the craft but my goodness be reasonable.
So thankful to have a great LBS here in Greeley. Had a MTB wipe out and damaged my front brake. The Bike shop in the Mountain was backlogged by three weeks and didn’t have the part in stock. Returned home and the Bike Peddler had the part and fixed it in a day. Great repair service team - Honest, Knowledgeable, and patiently answered all my questions. A great bike shop for our community.
A fantastic cycling and fitness center. Andy runs a top notch professional cycling business. If youre looking at anything bicycle related, look no further.
I’ve been to some of the bigger corporate stores and none of them give you the customer service, fair pricing or quick turn around time like Bike Peddler. They have a knowledgeable staff that feels like they really care about you and your comfort on your bike. I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else to handle my services and tune ups again. Thank you guys.
I have a 15 year old Gary Fisher bicycle and it needed a tune up for the 250 mile ride Im taking. Every time Im at their store they are friendly and professional. The tune up difference is wonderfully noticeable. Smooth shifting, front brake adjusted, gears and shifters adjusted and lubricated, check tires and pressure and they wash and clean my bike. Once again, it rides like new. Thank you!!!!
I decided to buy my bike here because they advertised life time ~$10 tuneups. Now they have changed this policy to only a 10%-20% discount on tuneups and want over $60 for a tuneup. I wouldnt have bought the bike here if not for that original deal. I get if they dont want to continue offering this deal but they shouldnt stop honoring what they promised when I bought it.
I brought my bike in for a repair, and the technician I spoke with had a terrible attitude. My bike was beyond a reasonable repair monetarily speaking, the technician was disrespectful when I tried to inquire about alternative options, and even became agitated when I wouldn’t follow his arbitrary command to park my bike. It seemed like the shift in his attitude sparked when I mentioned the significant difference between how expensive the repair was going to cost vs how much I spent on the bike. The overall atmosphere felt very elitist, the implication seemed to be if I had more expendable income to pour into an over priced repair or a marked up bike from their establishment than I would have been treated better. Very poor customer relations, and definitely not a place for general bike enthusiasts to shop.Update: bought a new bike, the exact same day, for far less than their estimated cost of repair to my old bike. The competitor I purchased the new bike from mentioned other patrons having the exact same criticism about this company’s lackluster customer service. This establishment caters towards a more niche community of elite cyclists and not for the every man.
Fixed a flat tire super quickly. Thank you !!!
They fixed our stroller tires for us at a reasonable price with a QUICK turnaround. They were so thoughtful and had a printed off sheet for maintenance and what to do if it happened again! Thats great service.
Had a great experience yesterday in buying a new saddle for my cheap bike. Came back the next day for bike holder for my car and they didnt have any in stock. Tried to show the customer rep the one I was looking at feom Craigslist and he told me, after seeming like I had put him out time wise, that if I liked it to buy it. Guess it depends on who you are working with.
Best bike shop around. They go above and beyond. I completely trust my life in their hands when riding my mtn bike down a mtn.
Weve had a 20 year relationship with the Bike Peddler and couldnt be happier. Today, our six year old lost the training wheels for the first time and he wanted a kick stand as a reward. Bike Peddler staff cut one down and installed it in five minutes...made his day even more special. Thanks Andy and Staff....!
I wish I could do no starts. I used to think this was a good bike shop but that was a year ago. I think they changed staff and no longer value them taking time and understanding questions that are being asked without becoming rude. My family was forced to split up because everyone where too bit we had 2 adults and 2 kids. I will never use this bike store again.
I went in today to buy a skewer.never been in or haf heard nothing about them before today.i was asked if they could help me and i said sure.gentleman guilds me to repair table and starts asking me what size
Very knowledgeable and helpful
Great shop! Nick and Andy were very helpful and patient with my wife and I as we started riding. We purchased 2 Salsa Journeyman bicycles last August. They are wonderful and we ride as often as we can. We love the Poudre trail and the bikes are really helping us get in shape. Wonderful service. I recently up graded my tires to tubeless and they work as presented. Great service, great business and we highly recommend.
Robert is remarkable - incredibly knowledgeable, patient and very good at understanding the customer’s needs to determine the best fit and value. The shop is operating in an accommodating yet safe way during COVID.
Andy was wonderful, thanks for the wonderful tips today. I know you guys are really busy so I appreciate the time that you took for me
I bought a new Trek Edmonda SL5 Disc road bike here and I couldnt be more satisfied. I have never dealt with a better bike shop! The owner is very knowledgeable and the rest of the staff are just great. I will never buy from another bike shop except this one.
Awesome local bike/ski shop with friendly and helpful staff!
This was the most cost effective best experience renting skis I have had. The people here were so down to earth and personable! They went above and beyond normal service making sure I was taken care of. If you are in Northern Colorado area this is THE PLACE to grab your skis before you hit the slopes. Also the service was fast!
Amazing service! I bought a bike from here about a year ago and asked for a complementary tune up with the purchase last March. Brought it on Friday evening close to closing time, but they fit my bike into their busy schedule and had it tuned up by Saturday morning when I headed out to Washington! Excellent work!
Tire repair took about 10 mins and even filled other tire. Gave great tips for trails and apps to use. Very friendly staff and great customer service. Will continue to bring my bikes here
Very nice staff on the phone and in person. However, a new 20 Kids bike was very, very expensive.
Great layout. Everything was easy to find! The guy behind the tools was a true pro and knew what he was doing! Thank guys for your service!
Simply the best in town. The team at Bike Peddler are not only experts in everything bike, they are also very experienced riders themselves. Knowing they could see my problems from a few different angles it really made me feel safe. From bike repair to buying a new set of wheels for my road bike they have always given me a great price that even online stores can not compete with.
Excellent customer service. Came to buy a new bike, knowing very little about fitment and such, they put me on the most comfortable bike Ive ever ridden. They were all generous, honest, concerned and friendly. Andy just earned the business of my entire family and I will be sending my friends there because Im certain they will not be disappointed either.
I purchased a pair of road shoes last summer from Andy. One of the buckles broke this spring and they replaced the pair free of charge under warranty after I put over 1,000 miles on them. The best bike shop in Colorado. Andy, Robert, Drew and Rachael are top notch. Fantastic service and inventory. Their community support is amazing!!!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Recomend!
We wouldnt buy a bike from anywhere else after going into the Bike Peddler! Every time weve been in the shop, Andy and Drew have been beyond helpful answering any questions we may have without making you feel pressured in any way. Theyre personable, knowledgeable, and have competitive prices. Keep up the good work guys (and gals).
Called in today after they opened to get a flat fixed. Said to come on in. Then said they would call me when its done. Took about an hour and got the call! I feel like a bunch of businesses dont call back and we as a customer always have to check back in. Happy with service. Would recommend to all!
Great place, great service locally owned,I highly recommend it!
Quick rear wheel tube repair.
Of course I noticed a flat as we were pulling out of town on our way to Steamboat. I stopped in and the guys working fixed me up quick and had me on my way. Both times then Ive been very pleased.
Hands down my favorite bike store ever. Drew has been super patient with all of my questions, maintenance, and purchases.
Andy and company are the best! They always go above and beyond in the aspect of getting a great deal and getting great service as well after the purchase 🙂; in northern Colorado & on front range theres nowhere else to go for your cycling needs 😎
I had lost a small rubber piece from my Take a Look eyeglass mirror (Ive had it for years, and its the best!). They mailed me a replacement plus a few extras right away...no charge. So nice on the phone.
These guys did what all the other shops said it couldnt be done. They spent a good 2 hours with me explaining bike everything almost lol. Very patient and knowledgeable. They got me as a customer for life. Thanks guys for your outstanding help...
I love this place!
Knowledgeable and helpful staff, excellent service and products.
Bike Peddler has been a wonderful bike shop for many years in Greeley. We bought our first pair of bikes there in 2003. We keep coming back whenever we need a new bike. Highly recommended.
Come to Bike Peddler if you like receiving poor services, as well as being abused as a customer. I purchased a pair of bike shoes as I was recommended to this location through a friend, and expected nothing short of what I was told about it - great customer service. The pair of shoes I purchased did not fit as expected outside of the store (not to mention his employees attempted to aid me in finding one that fit, which they were clearly mistaken and this was mentioned during the return attempt), and were worn only once by me for about an hour and a half. I attempted to return the shoes the following business day. The employee on site inspected the shoes but was unsure whether or not he would be able to take the shoes back for a return due to minor scratches on the sole of the shoe (I was sold the display pair, mind you so these may have already been present prior to the purchase of the shoe) and was told to either leave the shoes at the store or have Andy call me, as he was not in the store to aid with the return. I asked them to have Andy call me in which he did. He had not evaluated the shoes in person and was only told their supposed damaged condition through word of mouth by his fellow employee. Over the phone Andy was incredibly hostile, he began asking me how he was supposed to resell a damaged shoe, and that he would not allow me to return the shoes. Andys sole focus was on selling a shoe at his supposed loss due to minor scratches on the sole, from walking in them. It was clear to me he was not focused on helping me with my issue, but on how he would keep his money. At this point Andy was violently yelling over the phone arguing, and told me I had two choices: keep the shoes or sell them on craigslist. I told him I did not appreciate the way he went about his customer service, and that I came to his shop to appreciate good customer service as well as support small businesses in which he proceeded to hang up on me. (I would have never had any sort of second thought about this sort of return had it been Dicks Sporting Goods or Sports Authority). I am now stuck with a pair of bike shoes which do not fit my feet due to their poor customer service. Avoid Andy, the bike peddler as well as his shop at all costs. Thanks for reading my review.
Nick was a great help. I needed a bike mount for my car, he helped me choose the right one, and even helped me install it. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Andy takes great care of his customers and is always a pleasure to work with!
Wonderful. great service! fun to visit.... Said that two years ago, it has not changed. Great place. Nick is great.
Incredible source for buying a bicycle. Owner and sales people are very knowledgeable and willing to work very closely with you, giving you plenty of time to make informed decisions.
Pricey. I cant see how anyone would think product prices are comparable to online prices for the same products. Think 10-30% markup. Thats a normal and acceptable thing for a local shop however. You pay extra to get it there immediately rather than waiting to have it shipped.. but relative to other local shops, it is still pretty expensive...Also... i was given wrong technical information about a repair. Competitor shop got it correct and now thats where I will go for any and all repairs I cant do myself...
Outstanding care and concern about my safety on my bike. Fixed the issue while giving detailed information concerning it. Had a great ride afterwards.Thank you.
It is extremely easy to understand why the Bike Peddler is Greeley’s premier bike shop. Their sales and service are undeniably top notch. They have a wide variety of bicycles and accessories on hand and prices are reasonable.I am a novice rider and have some physical limitations so I wasn’t sure what to expect the first time I stopped in several months ago. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was very impressed with the reception I was given. All my questions were answered. It was clear to me from the start that I was in the right place.Over the next couple of weeks, I stopped in or called several times. I didn’t always talk to the same person but that didn’t matter. Andy (owner), Nick (sales/service), Drew (sales/service), and Robert (mechanic), all communicate so well with each other that each knew at all times where I was in the process.I test rode a few bikes and we discussed the pros and cons of each for me after each ride. We finally decided that a recumbent trike was my best option. I was happy to learn that the Bike Peddler is a TerraTrike dealer and eventually decided that the Rambler EVO with the battery assist was my best option. Robert made certain that the trike was assembled to meet my needs.Since my initial purchase, and the purchase of a second bicycle for someone else, everyone at the Bike Peddler has continued to demonstrate a sincere interest in my cycling activities. The entire staff has been willing to answer questions, make adjustments here and there, and generally take care of all my cycling needs.I strongly recommend that riders of all ages and abilities make the Bike Peddler their first (and last) stop when seeking to purchase a new bike or have their current one serviced. You will be glad you did. I know I am.
Visited this shop for the first time today, with my boyfriends mom. We just began training for our first triathlon. Everyone was super helpful, friendly, and patient as we made up our fickle and fruggle minds. Drew, in particular, displayed outstanding customer service skills and knowledge of the products. This family owned shop and the employees are top notch. We will certainly be back!!
Really like working with this shop. They know what theyre doing. They have a good inventory that is different from other shops in town.
Fast friendly service
Great customer service! Prices are very comparable to anything online. Highly recommend
Awesome shop. Look no further. Nick and Robert took amazing care of me and my Salsa Fargo. Thanks!
My first encounter besides tune-ups was that I needed Continental tries for my bike while spending the winter in Arizona. No one carries that tire in Arizona so I Called Andy (owner) and he shipped the tires to me at our home in Arizona...perfect. This summer our tandem from Santana started making noises and vibrations in the cranks. After hours of work and investigation, and phone calls to Santana, the problem was identified and a solution was found. Not only did Robert and Andy solve the problem they went out of their way with patience and effort to get us back on the road. Nothing but kudos to the both of them for great customer service at all times. I wont take my bikes anywhere else, and highly recommend this business.
The business is clean and organized, The staff is very helpful, they have the brands and equipment Im looking for. Great experience and worth the drive.
They set my child up with quality safety equipment at a reasonable price!
Andy and the guys were top notch! Friendly, professional and fully able to help with any of your needs. Highly recommend.
Great shop. The guys are awsome. Very quick and cheap.
The customer service was fantastic, and I got a bike that was worth every dollar spent:) Of all of the bike shops in Greeley, I would probably recommend this one.
Bike Peddler is amazing and the only ones I trust with my bike. They are helpful, kind, and honest. Love this place!
We always get great service at the Bike Peddler.
Have bought several bikes from the crew. A number of times have been in for repair or maintenance. The service and prices have always been great.
Real good help anr freindly.
Bike parts are overpriced and the owner and employees and owner are only interested in helping roadies.
Really a very great bike shop, friendly and professional.
I took my tire pump in because I could not get it to work. They got it working again! Thank, Bike Peddler!
Bought two bikes and a rack, very nice, fair, honest, professional shop.
Long wait for ski rental. Allowed otheres to cut in front of us. High prices. Charged a lot for small chip/scratch.
Great local bike shop with great service
Stopped in on my lunch break just to ask about potential service. Had my bike with me and they adjusted the front brakes and fixed my chirpy tire in less than ten minutes, for pocket change. Will be back soon for the full tune-up! Thank you thank you!
Absolutely love the knowledge and patience of the staff
These guys are top notch!
