With out calling me they canceled my appointment. Then they tried to tell me I gave them a Kentucky address. I live in Colorado. Every time i was put on hold I got a new person and had to explain the situation all over again. Not surprising that Sears is failing. Sad they used to be a great customer service company.

Just to update my review of a few days ago, we next called Artisan Appliance in Fort Collins, and they not only were able to actually diagnose the problem beyond the E-15 error message (which the Sears guy said was close to impossible, and at a minimum would require 2 people and another visit) but to fix the problem for $200 ( the Sears guy had any repair would cost a minimum of $800). If I could give zero stars I would.

Worst place to ask help to repair your stuff. it is about right now was waiting for repair guy to show up but he canceled it for no reason. they do what they like doesnt have any shame or anything, i call them and set appointment on tuesday for today and today they says something way different from wht they said on tuesday, just trying to rob more money from people. they canceled my appointment for no reason, even i don’t know why it was canceled . the repair guy who was 10 mins away from me i bet he canceled it because he was too lazy. worst place

Joe, the technician was fantastic. Been doing this for many years and it shows. However, the customer service department Ive spoken with for appointments are less than stellar. Sears needs to move the peripherals back to the USA where we can understand who it is on the other end of the line. Great service work but lousy phone communication.

These people didn’t show up, but the technician wrote down that no one was home. The technician had the nerve to call at 5:05pm and leave a voicemail saying that he wasn’t going to make it until after 6 and he didn’t work past 5 so we would have to call and reschedule. When I tried to reschedule they gave me a date 2 weeks out.

Our whirlpool dryer burned out the heating element. I was able to set an appointment for the next day. I got a confirmation email, and a automated phone call when the tech was heading to our house. He identified the problem quickly, and provided me the payment options. It was a little expensive, but I would rather spend the money than get a new dryer. The tech also recommended blowing out or vent line with a leaf blower, it worked like a charm.

I originally called Sears on January 4 because my 10-year-old freezer wasnt keeping cold enough. The 1st appointment was scheduled for January 8; the technician diagnosed the problem as a broken fan and gave a ~$600 price to repair (~$480 with the 20% off promotion.) I gulped and gave the OK to repair - hey, the units a big built-in, cost thousands, and you need a freezer.) The next visit was scheduled for January 15, a different person. The fan had arrived and this technician installed it, with my help because it was really a 2-person job. It was apparent after 24 hours that the problem wasnt solved, so on January 18 I scheduled another appointment for January 25 (the one-week lags were due to Sears inability to get here sooner, not by choice.) This time, 2 different people showed up. I reviewed the history, they did some checking and stated the problem was low refrigerant level. They purged the system, replaced the dryer, and refilled the unit. As of the next day, the freezer is freezing again, so they appear to have diagnosed the problem and repaired it. Although this new visit would have cost $360 if a first visit, it was zero due to the 90-day warranty. All crews did a very good job of keeping things orderly and cleaning up after themselves. I will address my concerns over cost with Sears because I am wondering why the fan was replaced in the first place.

The technician did an excellent job finding the issue and fixing it (without requiring additional parts). He also gave me some maintenance tips to prevent issues in the future. Great job by the tech! The only thing that puzzled me was that he said I could not use the 20% off (parts and labor) coupon on this service. The service was entirely labor, and it looked like the coupon should apply. I was satisfied with the service, but I feel like I paid 20% too much.

The service tech was very courteous and professional, but there was absolutely no reason for him to be there in the first place, other than to give Sears an excuse to charge me $89 for my free replacement water heater. My warranty says FREE. Free is not $89. Perhaps I should send Sears a bill for $90 for the use of my driveway and parking! At least I never claimed that parking was free! My only hope is that Sears continues to stay in business long enough for some lawyer to file a class action lawsuit to get me and the 1000s of others in my situation their money back!

My experience with Sears has been the worst customer service experience of my life. I waited 10 days for an appointment. On the day of my appointment the technician was scheduled to arrive between 1:00pm-5:00pm. He called at 4:30pm to say he would be there by 5:30pm. He then called me at 6:30 and told me he wouldnt be able to come and that he would reschedule me for 10 days later. I told him that was unacceptable and he said he would come. He never showed up and at 8:15pm I called and the system said he was still coming. When he never showed I called and the person answering the call said he had come and I wasnt home. That was a lie. I spoke with a supervisor who admitted the tech never came and told me they would reschedule me for the following week. I spent 9 hours waiting and the best they could do was reschedule me a week later. That is almost 19 days of waiting for repair. When I explained that them missing my appointment should make me a priority for the following day he said there was nothing he could do. HORRIBLE customer service, dishonest and rude. If I could give them a -1 I would.

Service was completed Saturday 1/2/16. Washing machine gasket was replaced and this appeared to resolve the small leak the old gasket had developed. We used our washer on 1/2 and 1/3 without leaks that we could see. Monday morning 1/4/16, the washer was running and began to leak profusely - much much more than prior. Fortunately we had a towel down just in case, but the leak was so bad that it went through the laundry room floor and into the basement ruining part of our ceiling there. I called Sears and experienced terrible service. I was told that the soonest a repair person would arrive would be Friday 1/8/16. I was given a number to call Sedgwick for damages done. All of this took 3 calls and almost 2 hours of my work day. I called my insurance company and they suggested calling a water mitigation expert which I did. They came to my house 1/4/2016 and metering showed that my wife and I had cleaned up the water enough such that it did not appear we needed to have anything further done other than to replace the part of the ceiling that was ruined. I have purchased major appliances from Sears for over 25 years. I have never had major issues until now. But after realizing there is not any local support for failed work, and after being treated the way we have been treated with no one to call other than some overseas call center, and after the lack of attention to this matter - we will NEVER again purchase another Sears product and will certainly warn our friends, family and neighbors about the pitfall of buying any major appliance from Sears. Sears does not have an effective and responsive capability for providing expert service and support what the product it sells.

The service tech showed up as scheduled, made a negative comment about the product, tinkered for a bit, charged $175 and made absolutely no improvement to the problem. Not sure why Sears sells a product that their service techs dont want to work on or cant fix. And not sure why the service tech didnt just say up front that the problem couldnt be fixed, left and save us some money.

The repairman was professional and was here more than an hour trying to get my washing machine to show him the F11 (communication error) that it has caused it to stop running. The problem was that it stopped on me when it had a tub full of clothes, the tub was empty when he ran it so big surprise it would never flash the error code to him. The repair man said that the company would not let him order parts unless he could replicate the problem. So now here I am two weeks later expecting company in two days, who will stay a week, and my machine quit working and is flashing the same code. When I called to report my problem, they cant come back for 6 days. NOT HAPPY!!!!!

It took four times for a repair man to come out to fix our oven which is it still not completely fixed. One of the appointments was missed but I was not notified until I called into customer support to see where they were since I got a call at 5:00 saying they would not make until after 6:00 and it was almost 7:00. I was told that they service tech called in sick that morning and that they can reschedule for another week out.The phone customer service is HORRIBLE. They talk down to you and do not even listen to what you are saying or they would not have sent a maintenance guy to fix our stove instead of a repair guy

My oven broke in October, the earliest repair appointment was for late November. The came out, charged me the $89 fee, quoted me for another $350 to repair the oven. I paid the full amount and scheduled another appointment for late December (no oven for Thanksgiving or Christmas). I checked my credit card statement and they had double charged me. I have contacted them multiple times and have yet to recieve a refund. The same repair person came out, worked on the oven, left the house without telling me or showing me the repair. I walking into the kitchen to find the oven without any power - the breaker was flipped. I reset the breaker and tried to turn the oven on - it immediatly flipped the breaker again. I called and texted the repair person, no response. I spent 3 hours on hold with Sears call centers - there was no way to reach a local person or local dispatch. I spoke to people all over the world at different call centers - or was put on hold by people all over the world. The earliest they could schedule me was another month. Late January a different repair person showed up at the very end of the appointment window when I had to leave the house to pick up my kids from school (the text that he was on his way did not come through or my husband would have come home from work to meet him). More than $700 and 3 months and I have no working oven. I was told they would contact me to reschedule, I have heard nothing. My next course of action is to try to get a full refund and hire a local appliance repair if Sears does not contact me with a new appointment time. I will update this review if anything happens.
