Solid PF location. Good equipment mix. Locker/Bathroom/showers clean. Staff is friendly. Ive been to a few top notch PF locations so this gets a 4. It is one of the nicer ones in the Rochester area.

So this is my favorite place mainly because of the staff .That being said the equipment layout constantly changing (not in a good way ) is super annoying. Stretching is very important before and after any workout to avoid injury . I think they could do better with this area. I few times i have been stretching and now I have men constantly staring at me because they are directly in front of me. Also people like to bring benches over to this area and it takes up space . So you really dont have anywhere to stretch. Despite those few items, this is a nice location, very clean, staff are the best around !!!!

I went there with my daughter. It looked small from outside, but not inside, huge! That was my daughters first time there, although she is a member, but in Gates. She had a sligjt problem checking in. Im with, the The YMCA, with one swipe of a key tag, I can go to any one in my city! No question asked. Maybe yall should try it. But all n all, nice place..

My main gym i love this gym its secluded, and clean not alot of machines but still can get the job done.

The staff here are always smiling and friendly, very clean location. Seems to be very well managed, the staff seem to be always on top of things. Unfortunately moving in a few weeks and cant workout at this location anymore. Would highly recommend

Staff is ALWAYS amazing, everything is always clean. Although its the customers. People hog multiple machines, leaving a piece of their items at each one. Not much wiping from the customers at all, just hopping machines. Ive even seen people sleeping on machines. If theres one thing that could change, is monitoring more. It was frequent when I first started then not much anymore. It was more collected to where now people come in and take advantage and playing around in the gym.

No respect for the military. Zero discount, had to pay 20$ for a day pass to work out for 45 min while here for a funeral. As a veteran this is very disrespectful. If your active duty, veteran and/or support the military DONT GO HERE!

Nice gym for the price ... I personally think sounding the horn needs to go but just an opinion. Staff is friendly, equipment is decent and it’s hard to beat $10 a month. The only reason I don’t put a 5 star on the review is the inconsistency of people wearing mask. I’m sure it’s a pain telling people to wear it but rules are rules and if your staff tells me to pull it over my nose, I’d like to see everyone else doing it and they’re not. Like I said, for the price you can’t go wrong.

Staff is awesome, gym is spotless and only busy during peak times. It’s Greece so the people watching is second to none.

Went this morning around 645 wasnt busy at all. They seemed well organized with every few machines off limits was or at least seemed humid in there probably because of the masks on a little Warner then normal

Before covid I loved this place but since then Ive been weary about going. The gym its self has taken precautions to follow guidelines for covid but when Ive gone Ive watch numerous people not follow the rules. A lot of people specifically in the back of the gym on the weights near the ab machines area take off their mask and not social distance at all. 2 people came in and took of their mask to begin talking to someone else not even trying to social distance. I imagine because the employees are at the front desk and they are busy that they cant catch everything but its irritating to have to wear your mask and social distance then seeing others not do it. I am considering cancelling my membership because of it.

The main issue with this location is the manager Muriel. She brings a very toxic and confrontational energy to the environment that is unfitting to the role a manager is supposed play for a business. Its clear that the other staff members are burnt out and have no source of positive influence to keep them motivated with her at the helm. I feel for these staff members and in no way blame them for the lack of enthusiasm or lack of friendliness that you receive as a paying member when walking into Planet Fitness of Dewey Ave.I chose to join Planet Fitness for a short period of time this fall as I am shipping out for Air Force duty in early January and needed a place to stay on top of my fitness for a reasonable price before I leave. With a $1 sign up fee and a solid cancelation policy I decided this place would do the job for the one month period of time I needed to use the gym. No problem.As my wife is going to stay in Rochester for the three months that Im gone, we decided that it would make sense that she apply for part time work at the front desk here which would be a great way for her to stay busy and also have access to the gym while Im gone. She got hired fast and easy so I had piece of mind that all was well. This is where Muriels poor behavior and lack of professionalism came to light.While undergoing training, my wife witnessed Muriel regularly speaking to members in a confrontational manner over the simplest of issues. This includes giving an attitude to members when company policies and billing matters were brought up, as if any question asked of her deserves a roll of the eyes. She regularly complains to other staff about the members and sets the tone as if its the staff against the patrons. I dont think I ever walked in or out of the building while Muriel was at the front desk and felt welcome to be there. It literally feels like shes annoyed to have to say hello and shes not discreet about feeling that way. The rest of the staff are always very quiet and moody and its clear they would rather be somewhere else. And again, I dont blame them for that because the stage is set by Muriel to be this exact situation. I dont think anyone expects the staff to jump up and down with excitement when they walk in the door. In fact, please dont do that. But when the feeling you get from the MANAGER when you walk in is that you are not welcome and you are not liked, it really makes you wonder why youre giving money to a place like this.In ONE WEEK, my wife was made to feel so repeatedly uncomfortable and unsupported by this woman that she decided it was better to quit and look elsewhere for part time work. It was to the point where the environment was so toxic and unprofessional that she really had no other choice. I may be a bit biased, but my wife has a spotless employment record, a tremendous work ethic, a four year degree in psychology, a bubbly and fun personality, and gets along with virtually everyone. The fact that she was only able to bear a week of employment here before needing to leave says enough.I cancelled my membership today (12/9) and drove over to LA Fitness in Irondequoit where we were met with an energetic atmosphere and a membership sales guy who was extremely welcoming, low key, and not aggravated by our presence (or if he was, he hid those feelings like a professional adult and did a great job showing us our options). They have awesome prices right now and month to month options given the Covid situation. The amount of space, amenities, better guest policy, and positive energy there is well worth $34/month and a slightly longer drive for us compared to Planet Fitness $22/month and the tension that comes with that membership in the location were speaking of. Honestly, after my experience with the Dewey Ave Planet Fitness, I would have happily agreed to $50/month anywhere else just to get out of there and away from Muriels energy.The world is full of enough stress and worry right now. The gym is supposed to be where we go to relieve those feelings, not increase them

Staffers are brutal with the mask wearing policy. I exposed my nose just for a second to catch my breath and they were all over me, this happen twice. I understand the safety and importance of wearing a mask but can I get a little oxygen too.

I workout here on the weekdays and workout at home on the weekends to have some time to myself. Other than that, I walked in and I was greeted right away which was good and I was checked in quickly and was allowed to go about my business right away. I went in the next day and I was greeted already with my name, it surprised me, but it was very nice. Unfortunately, I dont know the name of the worker (dark hair, skinny, around 57ish and works the mid morning(based off when I came in)), but thanks for making a new member ( I went to the Planet Fitness back in Maryland) feel welcomed. Other than that the locker room was clean along with the bathroom and shower area and the workers were cleaning the whole time I was there. Nice place, a little busy at times, but other than that I like getting in and out.

Ive been going to this gym for quite some time out of convenience. Its close to my home. That being said..the equipment is not terrible but its not the greatest..however there are certain staff members that have absolutely no sense of customer service. Its almost as if its a hassle for them to actually acknowledge you when walk through the door. The manager is very nice and there are other staff members who go out their way to assist you. But again when a customer walks Into the gym..is it planet fitness goals to make the customer stand there and wonder if its ok to pass through?

I joined this gym to help with my workout goals and it definitely has helped me do that. Theyre right about the judgement free zone. Its not as intimidating as L.A. fitness but gets the basic things done. The staff is always nice. But it doesnt have all the bells and whistles as L.A. Fitness. But you can def still get alot things done. But if you go after work 5-7pm or maybe later its pretty packed. But you can still find something open

I dont mind that its a smaller location, I just think that its cramped. My home gym is gates and I have to do MUCH walking to get there. No so much with this one and thats what I like (i ride the bus). My only issue is that there is in NO way room to get a good 20 minute stretch in because its so small. If there was a way to make the stretching area bigger, Id be happy. Also the showers are not the cleanest; I understand that the whole point of a shower is to get the dirt off your body, it just shouldnt be caked on and there should NOT be hair clogged in the drain (🤮🤮🤮). If regular (maybe every hour) maintenance was made in the showers and the stretching area was larger, Ill give this place 5 stars!!!That hydro massage chair tho....DIVINE!

The showers have pubes covering the floor of the showers and one of the showers had a gross yellow/orange residue covering The walls (like a fungus). Although they have new equipment it seems really cluttered near the back . There is never enough room anymore for more than 1 or 2 people to stretch at a time. I’ve brought a couple friends 3 or 4 times this week and we weren’t able to stretch once .They really need to get rid of that bulky equipment and move the benches that people keep bringing back there as to say it’s there personal gym.Then they just sit there and the staff should be moving them.As well as the stretching chairs that maybe 1 or 2 people use . Stretching is the most important part of a workout . They really should make this accommodation for the members .They gym itself is much cleaner now. I think the staff needs to keep up with the paper towel I went to 3 machines last night to clean them and no paper towel in any . Also the women’s bathrooms could be a little more clean in the stalls. Sometimes the little trash cans of garbage are full and overflowing as well as the toilets aren’t that clean .I do have to say on a positive note.!!! the staff especially in the afternoon are a really great bunch !!They are always very welcoming, always smiling and very helpful . They make you feel like family .Overall with a few modifications to the stretching area . I would recommend this location .

I absolutely love this place. My membership recently expired at a local woman-only facility and I had no intentions of renewing at that location. I decided to look into Planet Fitness in Greece. From the first minute I walked in, I felt very welcome. I was treated with courtesy, the facility was clean and neat, the front desk and staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The first time I worked out, I was greeted by my first name when I walked in, and have been every time since. I am an older person and have never felt intimidated or out-of-place here. For me, its like Cheers where everybody knows your name and you feel right at home!

I like this gym better than the irondequoit location. However, The lay down tanning beds are dangerous and very dirty. They slam shut on you and are so heavy to push open when you are done. I told the lady at the desk and all she said was you are not the only person who has said that. I told her maybe its time to report it to upper management and she turned and walked away.

I was visiting this gym and was amazed at how rude the Club manager was. This gym is not up to date and given the rudeness of the front desk I would encourage you to find a different location

Excellent facility but needs more room for stretching.

I started going to this location over a year ago and always felt very uncomfortable approaching the desk, staff gives off a bad vibe like youre bothering them. Floors in the locker rooms are always dirty. This location isnt really open 24/7, which is misleading. My PF I go to in PA is open 24/7, much friendlier staff and cleaner location. No open bench, only smith machines.

The price is great, the equipment and facility is very clean.

The equipment is relatively new it seems, I enjoy the televisions. Customer service isnt outstanding at the front desk usually standing around and when you approach the area its like your bothering them really uncomfortable. Management I give an A++ helped me with my account and made the process very easy. I would suggest hiring employees that enjoy fitness and are enthusiastic. The tanning beds are old I was laying in one and it kept making creaking noises I dont think the employees go in and check if the beds are clean I think they assume that the member is cleaning them but I went into a stand up and it was filthy I cleaned it up before entering the tanning area need a little update maybe color new rugs and tables. For the money I guess you get what you pay for so Im not disappointed since all I want to do is workout.

No judgement zone! You go and work out at your pace. You do what you want to do. Best part is that you wont have to deal with lunks or judgemental eyes.

Im giving this place one star for one simple reason - for a place that advertises 24/7 hours, to close at 9 on a Friday and 7 on the weekend is just stupid. Especially because on the weekend is when people are more inclined to go later. Its absolutely stupid.

I also, have no idea why this place would get bad reviews. Its never too crowded and is always clean- I got a membership recently as the weather got colder- It has everything you would need to stay fit over the colder months, definitely worth the $10 a month (considering the $26 or some odd yearly fee in February) And the staff has been really friendly and helpful so far.

Awful! Ive belonged to many gyms over the years but this location of Planet Fitness is by far, the Worst!! The staff is extremely disrespectful of almost every one. The bathrooms are always dirty, and the towel dispensers are always empty. A simple Hello would be nice when entering the facility, but its not part of protocol, I guess. The staff seldom come from behind the desk, and are very rude when approached. I get it! We get what we pay for, right!!?? Cheap gym, poor customer service, bad management, who by the way, never gets off his personal phone! Cleanliness, attentiveness, and respect from staff, is it too much to ask!!???

Planet Fitness is a classic example of poor business. Horrendous customer service, RIDICULOUS auto renewal. Be careful to catch this! Theyll give you no notice and keep charging your account AFTER your membership has ended. Haha, the biggest joke ever! Of which, theyll blame on you! The customer and offer no solution. Im currently reporting them for illegal withdrawal without authorization.STEER CLEAR!

I went in just to check out the place. I asked if I could look around really quick alone and they said no. They made me wait for a staff member to lead me around and talk about all their services. Maybe thats their policy, which is fine. But then after I let him talk my ear off about their dumb services and pricing options, I asked if I could just run back and check out the equipment and he said that he would have to follow me. Then he led me two feet into the workout area and stopped and just kept talking my ear off. There was also greasy pizza boxes laying around, and the entire place smelled like BO and pizza. The entire experience was a huge turnoff, despite their low price.

This place has gone to the Pitts . First off instead of emptying the garbage that overflows everywhere, the staff rather sit on thier phones or lean over the counter doing nothing.Sanitation-***HORRIBLE!!!!the ladies room you can see the moldy mildew grout all along the shower and around the toliets.I’m pretty sure they clean the toilets 1x a month. It’s smells bad. I’ve went to other locations this bathroom is theWORSTNot only is it hardly ever clean, it smells and looks dated.. There is toilet paper strung across the floors . The garbage is overflowingI have alerted the staff on many occasions, about the cleanliness and they always act surprised.If you never take care of it why is it still a surprise that it’s disgusting..The sinks in the lady’s room rarely work.As of yesterday it was 2 that where working, before that it was only 1 that was workkng.2 were broke for at least a month or more.Clutter-*** the stretching area is congested and full of clutter . A while back they moved all of these machines and it was better .Now they put them are back and their is no room to stretch. I wish they would make that area better.Thier used to be dress code somewhat, now people come in with shower caps on ... really !!! I go in tonight to get a membership pretty excited only to be told this is the only PF in town that isnt participating in the $99 year special. The girl then says, Yea the owner must not want to participate in the special weve been getting a lot of complaints. You can leave a review so they know your upset about it. First off, know what youre signing up for. Its Planet Fitness. Its the gym for every body no pun intended. If youre trying to get a real work out in with free squats, a bench and dumb bells 75 lbs +, youre already at Golds or Worlds. No, this is a gym for teadmillers and former gym class heroes. Staff is fine, I dont know why people complain. As a former SJFC football player, the equipment is okay for an out of shape mid 20s guy like myself. But youre not going to get huge here. The only thing I do not respect is their 24/7 sign when its not 100% always open. Other than that $10 a month gets you Planet Fitness everyone.

Went to Planet Fitness two years ago. Clean, cheap membership and nice staf, NOW. Never felt uncomfortable with the staff. Did have one incident where my shoe got caught on a treadmill and I fell off, at that time NO ONE asked me if I was okay. No member, no staff I dont see those people their anymore. Having a 24 hour gym helped me lose 120lbs. I started going again, staff is friendly. To many members standing around doing nothing, and hitting on other memebers. - Greece, NY

I dont care for Greece Planet Fitness. The staff isnt very friendly. The few times ive gone a couple of the machines were down or made creaking sounds. Ripped paddinf. Customers not wiping down equipment. Never seen the staff come from behind the counter to clean. Its cramped, small. Kinda to warm, when working out, the heat doesnt need to be high. I live 3 minutes away and prefer the Webster PF. FRIENDLY STAFF. THEY CLEAN THE MACHINES. ALWAYS SOMEONE CLEANING. MACHINES IN TOP SHAPE. ITS BIG.

I was not told about all these hidden fees when I signed up for a gym membership after being there for only two months I paid over $140 with the summer fee and also when I decided to cancel because I was moving to hit me with another $60 I’m not even joking you not go here it’s not even worth it you’ll end up paying a lot in the end.
