Carnahan Towing and Repair flushed my coolant system and installed a coolant pump last winter. Once spring hit I noticed a coolant leak coming from the pump/heater core lines. I took pictures of the leak and even a video as the drip was fast enough to see every 4-5 seconds.I showed them where it was leaking and I asked if they would work with me on the cost of the fix if they found that it was an installation issue, they said we dont warranty our work.When I took the heater core lines out of the coolant pump the o-ring on the heater core line was in bad shape (see picture). I looked in the coolant pump box they returned with old parts and found a new o-ring which stopped the leak as soon as I installed it.When I replaced the o-ring I also found that they did not install a gasket between the engine and the belt cover assembly, despite them telling me they had.At the time of service I asked about this gasket and they told me it wasnt important. I responded that Toyota put one on every car they made and that it was important. Then, they told me they would use silicone to seal the area the gasket was supposed to be in.However, when I fixed the coolant leak I found they only put some silicone in the easy to reach and visible areas. Most of the bottom portion of the belt cover has no gasket or silicone leaving an 1/8 gap between the cover and engine.Last, they either mixed up or lost, and then replaced, a bolt for that cover.It was a poor experience and for my sake and theirs I hope it is not how they normally operate.

Carnahans towed my car after a traffic accident. The driver who came out was very quick to get the car towed. He was also very helpful in explaining how to get to the yard. Later, I had some relatives retrieve some items from the car at their yard. I later called them to get make sure everything was in order with my car, as I live out of state. The Carnahans people couldnt have been more kind or accommodating. Carnahans has helped make a crappy situation a little bit easier.

My radiator went out 30 miles outside of Great Falls and Carnahan’s is where it was towed to by AAA. Dale was nice and said he could fix the radiator no problem and my truck would have no issues for $400. The day I picked up my truck the new radiator AND headgaskets blew up after just 30 miles of driving it. Called Carnahan’s and Dale said they should’ve done a simple test on the head gaskets before working on it initially but didn’t. Dale couldn’t come up with an explanation as to why they didn’t test the headgaskets condition other than “they were busy.” I got no apology, no refund, and had to total my truck. Carnahan’s had the audacity to offer to “take it off my hands for free” since I had few other options. Ended up scrapping it to a different shop just because I didn’t want the sleaze bags at Carnahan’s making any more money from me. Absolute worst car service I’ve ever experienced. Please look at other options before taking your rig to get worked on at Carnahan’s.

My car decided to stop shifting gears yesterday while I was in a coffee drive through... As soon as I got home I called Carnahans. The guy I talked to on the phone said theyd have a guy there within 15 minutes. He was very nice! Also the tow truck beat me back to my vehicle when I only live blocks away... The price for the tow was also very reasonable! I highly recommend them for auto service!

Had a commercial truck on the road spun out in traffic. They charged us to tow him up to the next flat spot to get going again. Ended up towing into a parking lot to leave us there stranded. Horrible service. I do not recommend commercially or personally. They will never get another piece of business from us again.

Very poor service. I have towing package from usaa. My vehicle need to be towed to a mechanics shop. I pre-coordinated for pick up two days ahead of time. I was told 1530 pick up. I coordinated with the shop for 1600. At 1500 i get a call from the driver, saying hes there, ive explained to him that i had it scheduled at 1530 and there is no possible way for me to get there sooner. I left as soon as i could and came at 1525, there was no tow truck. I tried calling back the driver, no answer. I called back usaa, they reached out to the tow company again, they said 35 minutes (this is 1540 now)... i called the shop, they said no way, they close at 5. But if i can make it there in time they will put car in garage vs parking on the street. 35 minutes went by, and another 5, and another 5... so at 1625 tow truck gets here. Takes another 10 minutes or so to load.So now i have no way of getting to work tomorrow... i have no way to get to the shop tomorrow to pick up the car...Poor service.
