There are jobs posting listed all of the time with Sunrise Staffing. Ive submitted several apps with Sunrise. Everytime I call to check on my app, ChrisRyan doesnt have time to talk to me and when I can get him to talk to me he tells me he doesnt have anything for me. Its funny how Sunrise runs thes job posting. But yet, Chris never has anything available to me . Ive never been employed by Sunrise Staffing Services. So, Chris cant say Ive burnt that bridge with him in anyway. For some reason Sunrise Staffing Services is discriminating against me. For that I give them a 1 star rating for not being professional and having poor value and poor quality of service.

I worked for Chris (the guy who runs this branch of Sunrise Staffing) and through Sunrise off and on from 2004 through 2010, and in the beginning, it was a good experience other than his jobs being minimum wage or slightly above. That wasnt a big issue at the time, really, because the cost of living here was very low. Most of the time, it seemed that Chris had more on his plate than what he could handle, as youd have to stay on him, repeatedly calling him or maybe making 2-3 trips into the office in order to make a connection. Chris, for the most part though, was a good guy for whom to work once you actually got through to him and were placed.In 2012, my children and I --single father here-- were going through some very personal issues, and I went in, badly needed work, and spoke with Chris regarding those issues. As always, Chris was nice, stated that I had done a great job for him in the past, had me update my application, and stated that hed get back with me within a couple of days. As usual, he didnt follow through, and I had to follow up with him. When I did, he stated that he was on the road at the moment, had a lack of help in the office, and that hed get back with me that afternoon or the next morning. Again, he didnt, and nothing ever came of it. I ended up working 3 part-time jobs that winter while single parenting, and I found work with another staffing agency, leaving the Great Bend area that spring.Ive moved around the country quite a bit and have worked with several temp services/staffing agencies throughout the U.S. because of the moving. My resume is diverse but fairly impressive nonetheless, having supervisory experience in different industries. So, Ive got some experience in dealing with these agencies. They can be very effective in making transitions from moving, layoffs, or changes in employment a lot easier, and those experiences have generally been very positive for both sides. After an assignment ended for whatever reason or in the event that I hired on, almost all of the agencies for which Ive worked have stated that if I ever needed work in the future, theyd place me quickly. Well, having been seasonally laid off this winter, I thought Id give Sunrise one more shot, as I was looking for a more stable position. Both my son and I turned in applications online (the website needs a lot of work) and were told by staff that theyd get with us later in the day. As usual, they failed to come through on that which they stated theyd do. Apparently, its not just me. Several other people have conveyed to me the same types of experiences with Sunrise.Im glad to see that a couple of other agencies are beginning to pick up work in the area. The people of Great Bend could really use an effective, reliable staffing agency that will place people in a short amount of time when the need arises in their lives. Sunrise isnt the answer.

I worked with Sunrise Staffing and Chris on three separate occasions over a ten year span. I have worked for other staffing companies in other areas. Sunrise was my best experience all three times.Chris and his staff worked very hard to get me a position that fit my needs. Some of the work is undesirable, but hires on quickly. Some of the work is quite a drive. Some will work you like a dog and some are a walk in the park.Chris did not build up my expectations, but communicated clearly reviews from other workers. He let me know what opportunities were available and even what might be available soon.I recommend working with him and the companies with which he does business. I do not believe he will steer you wrong, but will help you find opportunity as it exists. Hes got my back three times and I have worked with several employees that say the same.Also, dont give up playing phone tag, being king is not easy, even with modern technology. Chris does answer voice mails and his assistants do a good job.
