This place was recommended for maintenance on my snow blower. I have found them to be genuinely honest with their customers. Even though it is a bit of a trip for me, will continue to use their services.
Awesome crew- they go above n beyond to help in anyway they can! Highly recommend!🤩 Thank you!
I bought a great Husqvarna 455e II new here and used it to cut a 50 foot high dead ash saving me over $800 that the arborists would cost. After I pinched the saw in a leaning tree they replaced the damaged bar and I continued to clear the logs with ease. Please don’t buy online, support your local dealer, especially if you’re a homeowner, not a professional
Great products.. bough 2 brand new toros last year.. so far so good.. customer service is great...
These guys know their stuff. Took a power washer in for repair. After I spent an hour looking for the engine model number, Jeff found it almost immediately, even though it was somewhat faded. Had to order the parts, but understandable for an earlier model.
My snow thrower (purchased from Grayslake Power a few years ago) was picked up for a simple tune up over a month ago. The unit has not been worked on, and when it would be worked on wasnt mentioned.Im paying the pickup and delivery fee to get my unit back and will make the time to service the unit myself. This is a huge disappointment, considering how long Ive done business with them.Something has changed and it isnt for the better.
They gave me some pretty terrible news regarding a pretty new power washer left out in the rain, but very professional to work with. Work was done promptly and fairly priced.
Do NOT deal with these liars who also care less about Customer Service. I brought my lawn mower in for a simple repair. I was told I It would be done within a week. 1 week later, they hadnt even started on it. I was told they wouldnt even start to look at it for another 2-3 days. Mind you, I was told this after being put on hold for 12 minutes, having to hang up, call again and plead to not be on hold again. I also got an earful of condescension and belittling tone and words when I did. When I explained that I was told I would have my mower back within a week, that level of snottiness multiplied two-fold. When I then informed them, fine, Ill just go pick it up, it hit new levels. When I did pick it up, the same treatment that culminated with the staff pushing my mower out the door, and saying a cold, snotty, nasty, have a good day Sir then promptly closing the door. They cared not one bit when I told them they lost a customer for good. Mind you, just last fall I had bought a top of the line Snow Blower from them, and WOULD have bought a riding mower from them soon. THIS is why American businesses fail.
Great people very helpful 👍
Dropped off a weed trimmer over 3 months ago for a bladed head to be installed with a tune up. Ive called 4 times with each time resulting in being placed on hold to find out whats going on with it. The last 2 times they claimed that their mechanic is going to get started on it right away.I show up today. Its been about a month since Ive called last. And as you would guess, nothing was done and the original head is missing.Ive had issues with them calling to notify me in the past that all of the generators we would bring in to be serviced were completed. Management seems very spacy on letting their customers know when the work is completed.I will not be bringing any more equipment here from my company to be serviced and I recommend that if you decide to utilize them, stay engaged with them because they sure wont stay engaged with you.If they didnt want to do the work, I would be a lot less upset about it if they would have told me rather than just sitting on it for 3 months and 4 phone calls. Poor management.
Always got the small parts such as spark plugs, small compressor parts and also sells pre. Mix fuel for all your trimming products
Great service and very friendly staff, have used them for years and have always been very happy. Would recommend them to anyone.
If zero was an option I would. I dont know a lot about power tools, but I also dont appreciate being treated like dirt because of that fact.Mower had a carburetor replaced here last year. After two uses, wouldnt start. Brought it back and there was something that was causing blockage that they cleaned out and gave back, no charge. Fine.First use this year, died and wouldnt start.May 28, brought in and told 5-7 days for an estimate.Waited until 6/7 to call, was told I would get a call back on Monday.Waited till Thursday, 6/13 to call back again. Was told it hadnt been looked at. Got a call back 10 min later saying it would be $130 for carburetor service. I asked to talk to the manager. Said he would call back. Never called.Stopped in on 6/14 and was basically berated by the owner Jeff that I didnt know anything about this (already admitted this), I should have drained the fuel over the winter (I used a stabilizer which last fall he said should be fine and its the same gas as what I used in all of my other tools that are working just fine), so on and so forth. Said we have been backed up since March, no one would have given you that timeline (basically calling me a liar), do you want me to fix it or not?I tried to share my side of this with Jeff and he really didnt care. Was referred to as people like you (i.e. idiots who dont know anything about power tools), you accused me of doing something (I didnt) and he stormed away from me. I tried to explain my frustration and he walked away again. At one point told me “maybe you should do some research on the internet if you don’t know.” I mean just berating me. Didn’t care about why I was there, that I was willing to learn but man just kept coming at me. When I called him on that he said “no no that’s just who I am.”The woman at the counter was very kind and knocked off $10 from what they charged And tried to say “it was just a misunderstanding” after he left the scene, but I left embarrassed, angry and really upset about the experience.Takes all kinds in this world, but still don’t appreciate being treated this way because I don’t know a lot about power tools.
Great products, service and ownership!
SCAM ALERT! Brought my riding lawn mower for a spring maintenance and belt replacement. Nothing wrong with mower starts right up. Checked in and said it would be about 7-10 days. A month went by and well thought I would check in whats up. Said that it would about week more. Two weeks went by and called and said the repair is not worth the mower and can give a good deal on a brand new mower in their showroom. Almost $500 for a maintenance! What, no thanks. I will pick up mower. I get their and treat me bad because I didnt jump on their great offer. Rolled my mower out and it was taken apart!!! I asked why they didnt put things back and blah blah, more money. Which reminds me, I lost some money for them taking a look at it. Under my breath I said, what bad service. Gentleman came back and said, what did you say? So I said it louder, bad service. Angry at me said something condescending which I ignored because I wanted to just get out of there as I was upset. When loaded to my trailer noticed parts were missing. I go back to ask for them, walk in and ask Where are my parts? At this point I demanded an answer as to why they would take it all apart and not put it back together. Well Ill spare you the details as it is very negative. I took it to Rays in Mundelein, he repaired and ordered needed parts all for under $200!!!! Made me realize that they are running a scam of saying your good mower is not worth repairs so they can sell their equipment. Dont fall for it people! Go somewhere else.
Wanted a arm and a leg for a part i found just down the street for $20
Takes forever to get an estimate (over a month) and when they finally get to it, the price repairs is astronomical that not worth the repair. They did want to offer me their equipment that seems over priced as well. I do not need new equipment since what I had works fine just needed a tuneup. Bad service overall.
Great people great selection of equipment knowledgeable staff.
The are so nice to work with a great place to have anything with a small engines and such fair prices I shop here all the time and will continue to great bunch of people the owner is so awesome stop shopping and go here you wont be disappointed at all
Google seems to have removed my one star review of this business, it was clean with no offensive language. It did tell my story of them not covering the warranty on the Toro lawn mower purchased there on 4-30-18. Everything was operator error on a 4 month old lawn mower with a 2 year warranty. They charged for all repairs on a lawn mower guaranteed to start ( it didnt ) and a drive system that failed twice. In making it start again they also changed the oil on a mower that states on the engine you never need to change the oil. I told Jeff I couldnt afford his warranties. Buyer beware, one more business on my not to deal with list.
I dropped off my lawn mower for a simple tune up. The female employee who assisted me didn’t mention a time frame and considering this was a simple job I assumed a week max. The woman told me to leave the mower outside along the building where customers park and someone would bring it inside. About three hours later I drove past and noticed my mower was still sitting outside where I was told to place it. Being concerned about theft as it was easy access for anyone to pull up and take it, I called to inquire. The man I spoke with on the phone blew off my concern and said “I do a walk around the building before we close, It won’t be left out overnight.” A week and a half later I had not heard anything from them so I called to check the status considering my law was getting close to needing it’s first cut. The woman who answered looked up my ticket and said in a very condensing tone, “It’s only been here a week.” I asked how long it usually takes for the work to get done. She then, for the first time, told me about 14 days. At the 3 week mark from the time I first I dropped it off, I again called to check the status of my mower. I was again told it wasn’t up yet and could not get them to give me a time frame as to when it would be even looked at. I told the man to cancel the work order and that I would be there in 20 minutes to pick up my mower. I arrived at the store and spoke to Bill who was about as rude as they come. When I politely told him that I wanted my mower back he acted like I was taking money out of his pocket. He seem flustered and annoyed that I dare have an issue with their operation. He very curtly told me it would be a little while before they could get my mower out of the storage area. I was fine with that but asked about how long it would be. He again acted like I was out of line for asking and would not give me an estimate. I asked him if it would be an hour or 10 minutes, which is a reasonable question. He said about ten minutes, so I waited in the show room. While waiting I watched a customer walk in and look at several expensive tractors and zero turn mowers. The customer told Bill his mowing needs and asked for a recommendation. Well Bill must not be a salesman because he looked at the customer like he had a third eye. Then very sarcastically began to “explain” the difference between a zero turn and a tractor. At this point I was so irritated I walked out and waited out by my vehicle in the parking lot. A man brought out a mower and said it was mine. I took one glance at it and Immediately knew it wasn’t mine. The employee looked at me and said my name then looked at the tag on the mower... he then took the mower back and 10 minutes later gave me the correct mower back. This place isn’t very customer service oriented and lacks attention to detail. Too bad because I like to go to support local business but this is not the place to trust with your equipment if you expect a quick turn around and friendly service.
I have been going here since 1986. Great Service and always VERY helpful. Jeff and Staff spent a great deal of time explaining options for a new snowblower and the Toro 721QZE is now in my garage waiting for a good dump of snow. I HIGHLY recommend Grayslake Outdoor Power Equipment.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Dropped my mower off on June 28th and just got it back on August 9th. Absolutely ZERO communication as far as what was going on with my mower and why it was taking so long to be completed. I had to make every phone call to them trying to get updates on why my mower was being held hostage for over a month. I am all about buying local and supporting local businesses but I would rather drive 50 miles out of my way than go here ever again. Lucky for me there are two other power equipment dealers just down the road that I am sure will value there customers business more than this place ever will. Best of luck to the next poor customer who gets taken for a ride just like I did because it was not fun.
Great service and all the parts in stock.
Needed a part for my Toro mower. They had exactly what I needed at a great price!
They are the best.
I brought them a Husqvarna lawn mower for a warranty service repair. First they took longer time to get a estimate (4 weeks.) Then, they told me that the mower was not warranted and wanted to charge $380.00 for repair when for the machine I paid $300.00. They excused no honor the Husqvarnas warranty stating that is was used for commercial purposes and not personal. I told that that was not serious since profession is in the accounting field and not landscaping. Anyway, they did not honor the warranty. Just decided to bring the mower somewhere else where I got a repair estimate after 3 days and an affordable repair cost.Definitely and in my opinion, they were unethical trying to raise income inappropriately. Just the worst service experience!
They have been very helpful. Bought my snow blower there
Jeff takes care of his customers. Buying new or service.
They are helpful.and really tried to accomidate me as. I searched for a used tractor.
