From our first telephone conversation, to our first meeting with Wayne, my wife and I found him to be knowledgeable, friendly, professional and prompt. He brought numerous samples of composite decking for us to look at and choose from along with a folder containing additional ideas. We knew what we wanted in our deck and explained our thoughts to Wayne who then suggested additional ideas to make it a more complete living space.He and his workers were professional, friendly and very meticulous. It took a little over 3 weeks from removing the old deck to the completion of the new deck. Our new deck is a little over 500 square feet, it included a privacy wall, 2 – 8’ x 10’ pergolas, aluminum railing with post cap lighting and low voltage stair lighting. We couldn’t be any happier with the finished product. My wife and I Highly recommend Paulsboe Contractors to construct any outdoor living space. Wayne did a fantastic job on our deck! From planning, to tear down of the old deck, to the creation of the new deck, we, at all times, felt the experience, professionalism and craftsmanship that one always hopes for from a contractor. As a bonus, hes a really nice guy that responds quickly to every request. We are so happy with the solid and accurate construction of Waynes work; no need to worry about any corner-cutting tactics like some others. And he cleans up after the project, too! No loose nails or screws left around on the ground; he even power washes the deck from any mud and dirt that accumulated on the floorboards during construction! Wow! Wayne and crew were very professional and did a fantastic job on our new deck! We probably drove poor Wayne crazy with a million questions and asked him to make a dozen trips to the house, while we decided what to do with the first renovation to our newly purchased home (approx 25 years with deck supports so rotted they no longer touched the ground). He was so kind and patient with us newbies to the Midwest, as well as provided us with great resource info so we could do our own independent research and learn about the materials, the seasons we’d be experiencing (brrrr, no kidding Wayne!) and the best combo of materials for our lake adjacent deck, which would have direct sun & water exposure. Building a deck through a pandemic was admittedly not the easiest task with delays in materials but that was a common ordeal for all builders and it couldn’t be helped. However, Wayne handled it like a pro and was communicative, keeping us informed on each milestone, what we needed to reach for necessary inspections. Once complete, it was a beautiful thing and we are so very pleased! We’ve been living on our deck already, even in the colder months!!We noticed a step had settled a tad wonky with the super cold winter, which we read to be normal for the initial adjustment of wood and trex materials. Wayne just happened to call for a Spring check in, as part of the warranty process on his labor. The issue was reviewed, scheduled and remedied in under a week. Just great service from door to deck!
