Purchased a used suv for our household, with less than 100k mikes on it. Less than 2,000 miles after purchase the transmission went. Franks offered to cut us a deal on a used transmission installed... for the same price as a new transmission installed from a dealer.By far the worst car buying experience we have had. Predatory salesmen. Strongly recommend you shop elsewhere.***update***Upon trying to have the transmission replaced at another shop it was discovered that the vehicle had substantial structural rot, holes, and defects. We contacted Franks (again with 0 help) and eventually had to have the BMV LE Inspection team look into the vehicle. They determined it never should have been sold in the condition it was in, and with their help have received a full refund.

As a woman with a decent level of automotive savvy Im always very aware of a mechanics demeanor when I bring a vehicle in. Ive encountered a disheartening number of scenarios where Ive been treated in a blatantly condescending manner and quoted unreasonably high prices for work I didnt need. Ive had a garage tell me my vehicle wasnt safe to drive home unless I had front and rear pads and rotors (for the low, low price of 875) fitted right then and there. Id personally replaced all four assemblies less than two months prior and confirmed when I got home that it was a weak attempt to take advantage of someone they assumed was none the wiser.This has never once been the case at Franks. Theyve been helpful, honest and accommodating every step of the way. They once threw a beater jeep Id snagged on an impulse onto the lift and let me come look it over with them after an hour of diagnostic work on their part. They told me not to waste my money, as they were quoting around 2,000 to start and didnt think it was worth it. Ever hear of a garage discouraging someone from unnecessary and expensive work? I definitely hadnt. They charged me a whopping $18 despite all the time they took. I had an actual conversation with a mechanic about feeling as though I was severely undercharged. I recently called about a flat tire, they had me bring it in the same hour, patched it so quickly I didnt even have time to stare at my phone, brought the tire out, loaded it in my back seat and charged me all of $13.I could go on, but yall get the point. The level of integrity and honesty they show is unparalleled and Ill never take any of my vehicles anywhere else as long as Franks is open for business.

Unfortunately and fortunately Ive had the pleasure of having my vehicle serviced here. I am here for the winter from Vermont where I out not able to go to my mechanic, a friend, who owns a service station. I am just under 10 minutes away from Franks, I have had to bring my vehicle there, three times and Counting at this point, and I am scheduled there again soon. I dont know people in this area, so when I drop my vehicle off for the day they bring me back home, and then pick me up when the vehicle is done. Im sure other places may do this, but being away from my friends and family and Network I am so familiar with, this has made me feel like I can count on someone here. Very friendly, helpful and thorough with letting me know what my vehicle needs, time to fix it, Etc.

Very talented mechanics, that know what they are doing. They do very well explaining what is wrong with a vehicle. I highly recommend going to Frank’s Garage!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. They’re great people, good customer service and have always worked with me to get my cars fixed when needed. They don’t push repairs on you that are unnecessary and prices have always been fair. I highly recommend Franks Garage if you need to have your car repaired.

Multiple times theyve either performed the wrong repair (and refused to refund) or done shoddy work that lasted less than a month. When confronted, they claimed that if it works long enough to leave the shop its not their problem.
