Dishonest. Avoid at all costs.If you own a vehicle older than 1996 you will most likely fail. Then have to repay for a retest. They do not honor free re test if you fail for 1996 and older cars. They are good at finding something that they can interpret as a reason to fail you so that they can get paid twice. I was failed for having an aftermarket air cleaner filter. Which I have had smog check done elsewhere with no issues. I had to pay them and then go to another smog shop and pay them again. Guess what it passed! Thats mugshot said 96 and older you cannot fail for having aftermarket air filter.As I tell people about my experiences I keep hearing the same type of review about rays radiator and smog shop. I have a good friend who took his sons truck they were working on in to get pretested to see what they had to do They specifically asked not to run the smog but to do a pretest. Rays proceeded to run the test anyway and give them a gross polluter status which gave them a time frame they had to get everything fixed. He was furious. Wish I had talked to him before I went here.

These guys are awesome! I was on vacation from out of state and developed a pretty bad radiator leak and looked Googled for help. Rays came up and had good ratings, so I called. I was met by a tech as soon as I drove up, which was impressive because the shop was full and more customers coming all the time. They immediately troubleshot my problem and let me know they probably wouldnt get a new radiator until Monday and quoted me a very reasonable price, and while they pointed out recommended additional repairs, did not pressure me. Three hours later, I got a call that the car was ready.Highly recommended!

Only STAR certified smog check near me. They took in my car as soon as I arrived and I was done in probably about 10 minutes. The mechanic also pointed out two hoses that were deteriorating so I could replace them myself. Really appreciate the honesty. I will be going there next time.

I love this place. The day before my registration was due, I realized that I needed a smog certificate. I went to Rays last year and had a good experience and so I went back this year. I like how they dont require an appointment for a smog check. I just drove up, told them what I needed, and my car was ready to go about 15-20 minutes later. Fast and friendly service.

Wish I had read The yelp reviews before taking my car in to this place. They literally cut the wiring harness to my alternator and then told me that my car failed smog and told me I’d have to leave it overnight to get an estimate on repairs. Had to give them $40 to get my keys back and then drove to the next nearest smog shop where my car passed just fine after I fixed the wiring Harness. Do not go here.

Worst experience i ever had with a mechanic!The battery in my car needed replacement.They wanted 150$ just for the check up, i agreed and then the owner started yelling at me to go away and that he will not work with people who do what i do.I still dont know what he meant..Shocked, and clueless, i tried calming him down, still needing help with my car. He kicked me out! I have no idea if the owner is on drugs or just crazy! Dont go there!

I take all my vehicles to get smog checked at Rays. The mechanics are friendly. The smog checks are so fast and I havent found a better price.

This place is a scam if you are trying to get a SMOG. It seems to be there money maker and everyone fails. While I was waiting at least 6-8 vehicles came in. All failed. All were offered diagnostic checks before they could pass. They dont re-test at a lower rate. Every time you test is full price.

These guys went above and beyond to check my first car and helped me get it smogged. Very friendly, fast and they know what their doing. I definitely recommend them.

I have 5 registered vehicles and take all of them to Rays. Recently purchased a car on Ebay from Arkansas that did not smog. Rays fixed the wiring problem and it passed smog. Great place with great mechanics. At 72 years old and having owned as many cars as I have I know the good from the bad. Rays radiator is tops.

Total scammers, avoid this place at all costs. Ive never seen anything like them before, and Im 34. They overcharge just to inspect your car if a check engine light is on. Check it out, call other shops, they are ridiculous. They also are one of those shops that looks for problems, they dont look for ways to get you back on the road at a reasonable price.I get a smog check, my car passes the digital inspection, but doesnt pass their visual inspection. Which, from an observers perspective, looked like a miner was digging for gold under my hood. I said okay, didnt get any work done at this shop, and took it to another shop. Then something crazy happened, my car passed smog.These guys are scammers, plain and simple. Go spend your money somewhere that the shop is honest, and cares about you as a person.

This is the worst place to come. The owner is rude and is dishonest! I brought them my 1990 Toyota pickup it passed 2 years ago no problem. In fact I paid them to fix it 2 years ago. Now they failed it for modified fuel injection and pointed to the disconnected a/c parts and said it would be $90 to fix. I unhooked it myself and brought it back and they said it would just fail again unless I paid them to fix it.
