I cannot say enough good things about my experience at this spa. It has been years since Ive done any sort of massage or facial treatment so it was long overdue but I have been to my fair share of spas and this one was hands down the above and beyond best experience I have ever had. The staff are truly incredible and you can tell they care about their clients and love what they do which is so important! Simone gave me the best massage I have ever had in my life. Like if the best massage I had before this one was a 5 star, this one was a 12 star. Then Alison gave me a facial but not just a facial, she actually cared to help me change my skin care routines and interviewed me about my skin so that she could help change some problems I was having. Basically, I was destroying my skin and shes helped me to save it. I just got to use the product she suggested I start using for cleansing and I am beyond thrilled. I just cant say enough. They are lovely!

The steam sauna is lovely and wooded with an outdoor shower, and the ambience...soft and meditative music, fresh purified water, friendly and smiling ladies at the desk, the Buddha paintings and nature everywhere....love it, love it, love it! Amazing environment, beautiful location. Very serene! I got a mini facial from Taylor and a 90 minute deep tissue from Haley, and I highly recommend them both! Haleys touch was very focused and healing. I am so grateful I found this place, and I will definitely be back.

Vela was absolutely wonderful. I got my first massage, and I feel so refreshed and relaxed. The staff and masseuse are absolutely wonderful. They make you feel relaxed and welcomed the second you walk in. I got the 120 Minute hot stone massage with Aromatherapy from Alicia, and it was amazing. She spent a lot of time on the areas that were most tense, but still spent enough time everywhere else. I highly recommend Vela Massage Retreat!

Everything was amazing! The stag is wonderful! The place is quaint and perfectly hippie dippie! Kevin was a fantastic massage therapist... super strong hands and can read the body well! And Amanda gave a great facial! Will be back

Vela has zero competition. With polite and friendly staff, and the best masseuses around, and a gorgeous building filled with clean herbal smells, they stand alone. They have both a traditional sauna as well as a uv sauna... you get a half hour complimentary with any massage or facial. I like the big traditional sauna... set out in the trees with an outdoor shower. You can also just come and sauna. Every time i leave vela, I feel relaxed, refreshed, and ready for the next 10,000 miles.

I went during the summer and had such a leisure pleasant experience. i loved the outdoor shower next to the sauna also. they were kind to serve teas and water. the hanging chairs on the porch are wonderful to relax. i could spend several hours there.

This spa is exactly what I needed for chronic pain relief and rest. It is a beautiful place with great services. I am so happy to have found it. I recommend a deep tissue massage combined with some time in the infrared sauna followed by a cool outdoor shower. Bliss.

Vela Massage is located in a beautiful setting of a forest. The facial I had with Constance was so relaxing and I enjoyed being pampered. And my skin feels great from the facial. Love the facility and staff.

So relaxing and calm in the seating area and on the deck. Everyone is very helpful and genuinely caring. Looking forward to my next sauna and massage. Just love this space!

Vela is a special place unlike any other. Vela has a high standard for massage therapists and has a surprisingly beautiful location. Also the sauna is really nice.

Pricey but worth it. We go there every year for our anniversary, and we drive there from Sacramento (about an hour). Like I said, worth it. Beautiful facility, lovely staff.

I have been going to this spa retreat for years and the service just keeps getting better! In addition to a rockstar massage every time from every masseuse who provides treatment there (and I have tried a few!!), Vela supplies all the little stuff. I love their super soft robes, free beverages and snacks, and especially the Vibe! Super amazing place to chill out and spend time outside in nature near a beautiful shaded creek. I have never left a Google or yelp review in my life. But I had to talk about my experience at vela. I came in for a 5 pm appointment with Casey. The atmosphere was so beautiful and calming. I work as a barista 5 to 6 days a week, so I was in need of some work on my shoulders and upper back. Casey was so calming and attentive to what I needed. This spa is more than just a place that you go to to get a few kinks worked out of you, its truly an emotional experience, as I was dealing with a lot of anxiety in my life when i went to vela. These people are wonderful and their love for what they do really shines through. I live in rocklin, so its not exactly close to my house, but it is 100% worth it and I will keep coming back as a new regular to this spa.
