Staff was very helpful! And my experience was great! Make sure you bring hard copies of all required documents including any liens or title to that vehicle. Also they require one set of keys.They are busy constantly over here at this location and closes at around 3:30pm~. So dont miss your appointment!*Note: if you want a stress-free, smooth experience, make sure to reserve a extra day or 2 here in Dallas before your flight to the AMC terminal so that you can get your car detailed/cleaned. Also calculate the amount of gas you are going to need to drive to the VPC to the exact or close estimate of the gas mileage you need to reach near Empty or 1/4 tank.*

I am only giving the 2 stars because the staff was helpful and nice to me but when I finally received my car 40 minutes after appointment time it was covered in cobwebs and very dusty. I have had my car in storage twice before and never received it back on this condition. I also had to take it to the mechanic right after receiving the car because the check engine light came on and turns out the a ventilation value was clogged so the car could not have been started up and checked per the website log as described.

I recommend showing up at least 30 minutes or earlier to your scheduled appointment. Have ALL hard copies of required documents ready on hand, car detailed inside and out, and exactly 1/4 tank or less, for a quicker and easier process. I also reached out to VPC via email and sent copies of my documents to review if I was missing anything a week before my appointment. My Vehicle Turn-in experience was fast, easy, and the workers were very professional.

Real pain to get the car white glove inspection ready. Youve already scheduled your appointment online, follow the instructions and youll be fine.If you have to drive more than 30min realize youll have some debris in the car from use and bugs in your grill. Maybe bring some cleaning supplies or stop at a car wash.After they check your forms, theyll give your vehicle a pre-inspection to make sure youre good to go. After that theyll have you sign a form, give you a copy and youll wait for them to call you into the hanger for the full inspection (youll be fine if you passed the pre-inspection, this is just for them to fill out some forms) youll initial/sign a form, theyll give you a copy and youll be on your way.

The staff was helpful. I had to reschedule my appointment due to an unresolved recall and they directed me to reach out to the dealer to get a letter. Honor took time out to review all my documents. She made sure all documents were in order for the next day shipment. On the day of shipment, I arrived in the office prior to 8am and a staff member greeted me and made sure I was good to go for the shipment. I love that the staff went beyond their duties to assist me. I believe they do not wantto turn anyone away. They work diligently to make sure documents are in order to ship on scheduled dates. We are a military family going from Texas to Italy and we had to come here to ship our POV. Appointment was at 1 pm but we arrived at noon (we live 2 1/2 hrs away so we wanted to be here earlier rather than later). Got here and drove around a bit to make sure the tank was 1/4 full. By the time our appointment came, the car was ready to go as far as we could tell. The inspector came out and said the tank needed to be lower even though our car gets 450 miles per full tank, so 1/4 would be around 112 miles and that’s where we were sitting. Nonetheless, we drove around a bit more to get it lower. We come back, by this time it’s 2 pm. They take our floor mat out of the trunk and find about 10 dog hairs from our dog and they complain about that, so we spend another 15 minutes getting the up with tape. Meanwhile this entire time, our ) and 3 year old have had to sit in my husband’s car because they only allow one person per car in the waiting room.It’s now 3:18 pm and they just now took our car inside the building, I guess for further inspection.I’m frustrated mainly because they say make an appointment, but then you end up waiting 3+ hours because they want to take their time.When you have young kids, it’s especially hard to have to sit in a car, with the AC running, for that long as well.They could have a lesson in timeliness and courtesy to people who are forced to wait forever the simple task of turning in some paperwork and looking over a car really quick.

The customer service at this place horrible! Give these people a job to do and little power and they act like they’re Drill Sgts speaking to privates. They could easily be courteous and talk to the customers with a little respect. Most of the customers there are either active duty or veterans But it doesn’t seem like they care because they talk to you like third graders. They all seem like they need a hug.

Picking up my car was very quick and the agent helping me was very curious and friendly. I called the office with questions one day and the agent on the line was helpful and quick. The only negative thing I have to say is that my car was below empty when I picked it up and the nearest gas station was a couple miles away. I was terrified that I wouldnt make it to the gas station but I made out just fine.

What a fantastic group of people that work here. We had to drive from Wichita, Kansas to drop off my daughters car for shipment. She is in the Navy and had recently transferred to Hawaii.We were held up 3 different times due to traffic. We called and let them know that we would be late. Vanessa was so helpful. She said they would be there until 415 to wait for us. We got there at 405. They were so accommodating and customer service oriented. We were in and out in 30 minutes. Amazing group of VPC employees. Overall experience was satisfactory. Staff was for the most part friendly and courteous. I was here to pickup my car after three years of storage. The car was only a year old when it went in and it was supposedly started and moved to rotate the tires every month for the past three years in storage. When I started the car to pull it out, the check engine light was on. I took it to the dealer and the code was because the car was not started for a long time and lost power. Meaning the battery probably went dead at some point. I honestly thank they pencil whip the paperwork to make it all look good.My other complaint is there expectation of the cleanliness of the vehicle when dropping it off, “Super Clean”. I guess they go by the old saying “ do as we say, not as we do”. My vehicle was super dirty when I received it, making it impossible to identify any new scratches. Not to mention it looked like some one had just used a tub of grease as hand lotion and then decided to get in my tan interior car and move it. There were actual hand prints on the driver door, one on the back side of the passenger head rest and all over the steering wheel, dashboard and shift lever. All they did was grab a spray can of upholstery cleaner and went to town. Now the cloth on my door looks like an old worn shirt that’s been washed one too many times.I’m thankful this was my last ever vehicle move and storage with the military.

My son had his car shipped and we had to pick it up at this location. First there is almost no parking. My sons car had some damage, but they said it wasnt covered. It took over and hour to pick up his car. He has been in the USAF over 20 years and had to have cars shipped before. He would rate them lower than a one. It did seem that if you had an expensive car the better they treated it. We talked to others that had German cars and they were in and out in less than 15 minutes. My son may have to drop off a car here in the future as he has at least one more deployment where a car will need to be shipped.

Good luck getting your car through if you have children and/or pets. Your experience really depends on your inspector. Some of them seem to think that your car has to be LITERALLY spotless inside and out. I have 4 kids lady. The only way my car can meet that standard is if I reupholster the entire inside.

If I could give staff 5 stars and the process 1 star, I would. The workers there are very professional and courteous. The process is, however, ridiculously over-complicated (in typical government fashion). Some tips:1. Drive there with your tank on Empty. I had to drive around for about an hour to burn from the just-over 1/4 tank mark to under the quarter tank mark.2. Your car must be spotless inside. I had to go back to the car wash because the jack compartment in the floor board of the trunk hadnt been vacuumed out. Completely ridiculous.3. Make sure the exterior is completely clean.4. Empty out everything. They took out the little travel pack of Kleenex I kept in the glove compartment.

Garbage place. Went to pick up my car and the new battery was dead. They jumped off the car and continued checking the car they rolled my windows down and two of the windows wouldnt come back up. They called a mobile mechanic and it cost me $80 for him to put the windows up. Emailed the claims department and he said I need to have proof that it was their fault. When they had control of my car. The military needs to use a different place. The claims department is garbage.

I did a vehicle drop off here. My whole appointment took only 35 minutes. The week prior I sent ALL of my required documents to the VPC via email. They immediately responded saying that they had received my information. The morning of my appointment I took my vehicle to SuperShine car wash. I paid for the $26 car wash and vacuum and had no issues getting my vehicle through inspection. I took care of any stains I had myself a week prior. I ensured my gas level was at 1/4 tank as well. One tip: If your check engine light is on, have a print out from an auto parts store (it’s free) that states the issue. Super easy process. Just make sure you’ve done everything that asked of you and it’ll be no problem.

My son, Army shipped a 1999 all but new corvette to Hawaii that came with two factory removable tops, one clear, one solid. One not on vehicle snapped and locked into place in the rear. The two women who processed the vehicle refused to allow it to go with the vehicle. I called and asked to speak to a manager while waiting outside, the phone clerk wouldnt give me the name of the manager, despite me being polite and connected me to a recording / leave a message. I guess this is how the Goverment thanks service members, using incompetent staff who could care less about anything than 5:00 pm.

Got my car back returning from a hardship overseas short tour. 1’ x 6” huge dent in my rear bumper that was NOT there when I left.They offered me a lump sum for potential frame damage. I opted to get an estimate. The claims process is awful. If I get an estimate and the work costs more, they won’t reimburse me the difference. I’ve been informed that they might not even cover the full estimate for the damage. Basically they’re telling me that they might not fix damage that THEY did.I would rather park my car in an open field for my next short tour than entrust it to these people. It’ll be safer and easier to deal with than IAL.

Had my car in storage for 3 1/2 yrs, what a mistake. It was 6 months old when delivered, upon pick up, very dirty with leaves and dry vegetation all over the vehicle. The rep said it got dirty after shifting to the Dallas VPC. Impossible to spot any scratches or damages. The scratches (two dings and two scratches) found and identified to the claim adjuster and she offered on the spot $125 to make whole...wrong! Additionally the car was supposed to be started and run every month, this wasnt done. The hybrid mode failed to work correctly after pick up. Guess when the government accepted the lowest bidder to store/maintain members cars, the members pay for damages and the breach of contract. Recommend bringing a good flashlight to do your own car inspection...take your time. Government should do an IG audit since we, as members, dont have a choice of service provider.Also, it was under contract that the vehicle was supposed to be stored in the warehouse. upon pick-up it looked like it was stored under a tree...never again.

Just another civilian operated agency that says that customer service is their number one priority when it isnt.Scheduled a 0800 appointment to have employees walking in at 0800 and not to been seen until 0830.Employees walked around without a sense of urgency to see customers on time.The car was left with a significant layer of dirt, that they said they would clean off, but their cleaning efforts included lightly hosing it off.I do not like agencies like IAL that monopolize military customers

Im still here presently. I had an appointment at 1100 and didnt get seen initially until 1130. After we started the process I was told I had to burn a bit more gas before they could accept it. Mind you the dial was touching the quarter gallon mark. But fine. So I drive a few laps around the area until its down. Come back and the lady that helped told me to sign in and then just left. Waited another hour before someone else helped me and then had to restart the entire process over again. Finally get the vehicle processed and they told me it would be 10 minutes before the guys can inspect it. Now going on yet another hour since then and still havent been inspected. This place is ridiculous. 3 and a half hours Ive been here. Never again. Worse than the DMV.

Picking up my vehicle and all was good. appointment was for 0900 got there at 0820. Was called at 0850 and was out of there by 0915.Car was all ready for me, battery had run down, so they had already jumped it and was running the engine to charge.from the airport taxi was 40 dollars and took around 30 mins.only bad thing is they do not have a punch for the license plate so they taped them to the back and placed the other license on the dash board.

Forced to ship car with no spec or trace of anything but youll get it covered in dirt and like someone ate in there with greasy fingers. VPC will not give customs documents on site and forces people to buy a 48 hr temp tag that is only good in Texas. They do not offer any assistance in getting the temp plate on the back of your car and told me its not their issue. It took two months to get my customs paperwork because they could not write down my address correctly. My car could not be registered without it so I was forced to buy two 30 day temp tags at a tax office. Staff is cold and just there to collect a paycheck. I am so happy I will never have to ship a car again. I shipped out of Dallas VPC and back into it. Terrible in every step of the process.

If you have a dashboard light on (like emissions or check engine), be prepared to have a printout showing the code from the ODB reader, showing that the vehicle isnt a fire hazard. If not, be prepared for an impromptu trip to autozone to get that piece of paper. While I understand that IAL needs to ensure that the vehicle is safe, this process certainly needs to be more clear on the site.I also had to remove the alcohol prep pads out of my first aid kit because they contain moisture. I think in this case, a little bit of common sense would have helped out.Appointment timeliness is also questionable. I had an 1100 appointment, but didnt get seen until almost 1130. If youre trying to catch a flight, be sure to build in some extra buffer time.On the bright side, the person doing the actual vehicle inspection was courteous and personable.Overall? You think you might be prepared, but budget extra time and expect to have some issue pop up. This VPC isnt awful, but I think some policies need to be more clearly communicated.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would horrible people and supervisors i detailed my car and this guy said it was dirty and then says the dirt will mold which it wont he gives people a hard time and sends them off to places and after you go to the mechanic and to the car wash and spend over 30 dollars to do what you did the day before and then you go back and tells you it still isnt clean it then it close in 10 minutes and he sends you back home on a 3 hour trip is obsurd its an old fat guy with white hair. They seriously expect your car to be like it just rolled off the lot on the inside after years of use. This place is the worst place that the government has ever funded and a waste of time and money.

This is the second time I have been forced to use this VPC. The first time when I shipped my car overseas, in 2014, it was given to me with the bumper hanging off. Blame the distant end? Sure I will give them a 1 star as well. This time I was shipping a new car the other direction. You will get your car back dirty. And I mean filthy. I take really good care of my cars to ensure that the paint is clean to maintain its value for when I will eventually trade it in, or so I can keep it forever without having to replace the paint. I have washed my car twice and it is still dirty. The nice guy who gave my car to me today told me it took him so long because he washed my car. Washed it? I had to make it emmaculate to have it returned like Arizonas dust bowl took a dump on my car? Not just that, but there was GREASE smeared on the majority of my paint. Like someone took a rag to clean a motor, then attempted to dry my car with it. This place is pure garbage. I agree the government should move away from utilizing this place. Ranting on the internet wont fix this(not a single response from the company), but everyone who MUST use this place needs to realize and have eye wide open. I will follow up with official complaints because frankly this is unsat.

I have a few issues after I retrieved my POV on October 3rd, 2018 from the Dallas, Texas VPC. First is the condition that my POV was given to me in order to inspect. I have gone to extreme measures as per the requirements to make sure my vehicle is extremely clean inside and out before it is dropped off. Otherwise it is rejected and required to be cleaned more thoroughly. When I picked up my vehicle the truck had bugs and dirt on it from what was likely a cross country trip across America. This is unsatisfactory. Even more so is the fact that I am required to inspect it for damage I likely can not even see. The Dallas VPC also has a dimly lit warehouse where I was required to look my vehicle over. A dark grey truck with black interior in dim light is awfully hard to see much.My next point was the fact that only one person was working in the entire outside of the office. I was informed of a short handed staff, however, there was not enough people to facilitate adequate through-put while I was there. My first problem was that my low tire pressure light was on. The tires looked perfectly fine to include the spare. After I brought it up to the outside worker he informed me that he could check the issue out but it would hold everybody up because it was just him working. I insisted so he returned with my tires aired up to almost their max PSI in an attempt to get it fixed. The quick fix solution failed to do anything. My low tire light is still on as I type this.Once I got the vehicle and was told to file a claim online for the tire light, I left feeling that I was being rushed out of the facility with a incredible lacking of customer service. I then proceeded to leave the facility.This morning I decided to finally was the truck, since I was informed by this VPC outside worker that it had only been hosed off with a water hose. When I started cleaning my window from all the bug guts, I saw there is an approximately 6 inch crack in the windshield. To the best of my understanding these cracks do not just form over night. It appears that something impacted or applied pressure to the outside frame of the window and caused it to fracture. In my opinion as the customer, it is unacceptable for any reasonable person to accept getting a POV back from the VPC so dirty that you can not even see a six inch crack in the windshield.There was also a paper goo strip left on the inside of my window where something had been stuck to it. I have a clear ceramic tint on the windshield which made it extremely difficult to remove this obstructing of view barrier. Very unsafe to let someone drive away with a paper strip right in front of their face in their field of view.

Lazy employees checking in vehicles. Am a transporter and they make us make appointment to drop or pick up vehicles then they dont honor you appointment time. To drop 1 car took an 1.5 hrs. Whats the point of having appointment
