Grandville Trailer is now my go-to for all of my trailer service needs. While cosmetically perfect, my boat trailer had not been maintained mechanically by the previous owner. Grandville Trailer did a complete mechanical overall including LED lights, new wiring, new jack, a modified coupler, and a full electric brake conversion. The trailer now performs as good as it looks. Big thanks to the team at Grandville Trailer!

I did receive a phone call from Rick the owner of Grandville Trailer after he saw the review below. He assured me that there would be no charges and that he would not have charged anything extra regardless of the review. His called strictly to clear the air and assure me not to worry as well as apologize about my experience. I have since adjusted my ratings from 3 to 5 stars as the trailer performed flawlessly and the extra mile Rick went to communicate with me tells me that the business is a quality business. Rick stated he had spoken with both the check in as well as check out employees since my drop off. I appreciate his professional approach to resolving my concerns!The rental of this trailer over the phone started out great. I spoke to a gentleman named Zack and booked an enclosed 16 foot trailer.The day of the pickup I had another gentleman who checked me in. When I went to pay for the trailer my card was declined twice and I promptly asked if they were having trouble with their machine. He said, Not today. I ended up calling my credit card company and they said for him to try it manually as his reader was not reading the chip in my card. Sure enough...... Went through. This guy was totally unengaged. As I took a look around the trailer I saw many dents and a portion in the back that was slightly damaged. The guy told me that this trailer had been rebuilt as it was in an accident. I decided to take some pictures of the outside just to make sure there were no disagreements later over condition.I rented for a week and brought back today. The guy that checked me in again was very uncommunitive. I saw him writing notes. I said the trailer had a number of dents upon pickup. He then said that somehow one of the rear tires was dragged on an edge and the tire would need to be replaced. He accused me of having my electric brakes cranked up too high. I promptly responded that I have pulled a sixteen foot trailer with equipment on it for the past 20 years and was confident I did not have the brakes turned up too high. Also the damage was only on one tire on an edge. There is also a note about cracked wood in the inside of the trailer. Again, this is the condition in which I received trailer. He didnt provide a copy of his write up nor did he explain what this write up would be used for. I asked for a copy and he acted put out so I took a picture of the write up. Ultimately I will fight any additional charges if that is a route they are taking. Since the gentleman was so uncommunitive and unfriendly I really have no idea. I originally was going to discuss a purchase of a new enclosed trailer but after my experience I decided I would just leave. I have included some of the pictures of the trailer upon pick up along with the write up. I will tell you the trailer performed well. Too bad I was left with such an uneasy feeling from all but Zach!

Beware. I was notified after signing the agreement and credit card charge that the roof of the car hauler enclosed trailer had hole. After my inspection I did not feel the hole was repaired enough for me to make a long trip to pick up new furniture. I returned the trailer early and was not allowed a partial refund.

Rented a trailer, but during the hookup process to my vehicle they found that the running lights were not working. Zack and Rob both spent the time then and there to troubleshoot the issue, found out it was my wiring, and completely re-wired my brake harness. Zack and Rob saved our upcoming trip, were super helpful and positive through the whole process. Any time I need anything that can be bought at this shop, I will be back. The owner should be very proud to have Zack and Rob on their team.

Never Again! I wanted a Smaller enclosed cargo trailer with E-Track. Received an out the door quote for my loan. Was told the trailer would be ready by end of day (Monday). When I showed up “something came up” and it would be ready on Tuesday. This happened Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! Friday the trailer was finally ready, BUT now I owe $150 because the title, Plate and Documentation Fees were not included in my “Out the door” price… this place is a joke! I will never shop here again.

Not a very trustworthy business. They promise they have a used trailer for sale, you want to purchase and told them you have the cash. But its only to get you in the door, because they say its gone by time you drive out there an hour later. Oh but they have used ones for three times the price available!? Shady, no follow through and no communication?

They run a great business and the customer service is five star. I have to give a shout to Lance. I bought my first trailer from them and another from a different company who they work with. Shortly after purchasing, it had a manufacturer defect. I called with my problem and Lance worked it out to get it in and repair the same day. He knew with my lawncare business I could not be without a trailer for long. I appreciate them being there ready and able to help me out.

Thanks to all of you for selling me the Cargo Max trailer. We live in Wisconsin. Older trailer had issues and we needed something to move 4-wheeler, ice house and family out to go ice fishing. New trailer works great. Light weight, tows great on the ice and off. Back in Wisconsin now and cant wait to haul wood chips. I work for a non-profit called Camp Casey, we provide free horseback riding for kids with cancer and rare blood diseases here in West MI. We own a truck and horse trailer that we use to bring horses to childrens homes for day camps.I needed my trailer looked at for a general inspection and general maintenance. I also wanted to get a quote to install a trailer break controller.All of the staff were very friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. They gave my trailer a thorough inspection and provided me with a good rundown of my trailers condition and possible repairs. The technician that worked on my equipment was super helpful. He went above and beyond with explaining things to me and even went out and showed me things on my trailer. He was also very helpful with my questions about specific future maintenance and projects that I would like to have done.Im very happy to have found a reliable local trailer service shop. I need my equipment to be safe and reliable for when we are delivering happiness on horseback to our children that we serve. Outstanding customer service! My buddys bands tour trailer died at the last minute before they hit the road for a mid-west tour. When I called to see if they had something available, used preferably, Greg hooked us up. I called Grandville on Friday and spoke with John. We were traveling from the Detroit Area and were in immediate need of an enclosed trailer. I mentioned we would arrive before 4:30pm and John replied with Well, we close at 5:00 pm and it is Friday so we generally like to leave a bit early. I understand we were arriving 30 minutes before close but we knew the exact model we wanted and cash in hand. If I were the owner of this business I would be a bit disappointed to know the sales team is turning down clientele to leave a bit early.Update: Thanks for the reply. I would not have asked your team to stay later than the 5pm close, or even show up at close. I was making a courtesy call to ensure the sales team would be there (as I know parts and sales can often have different hours). My father and I were already on our way when we called. I appreciate the reply but I would not go out of my way to write this review if I was showing up to a business passed closed. Fantastic!My left trailer signal/brake light was dead-- wire was cut originally. After crimping, it was still not working. I checked the engine fuses for something that stood out for trailer signals but didnt find anything. I had called Grandville Trailer in the morning to check how busy they were and explain my situation as I had about 6 hours of daylight before I had to leave-- the gentleman who answered the phone was honest that they were swamped with spring break and other commercial work, and fitting me in that day would be tough, even though I had to leave early the next morning. He was very apologetic.After checking with the rental place, they said to stop in at Grandville Trailer regardless to see if someone could look at it, to which I obliged. The gentleman behind the counter came around, tested, pulled the dash fuse panel in 10 seconds flat, and swapped a fuse there on the spot, and she worked like a charm (felt pretty embarrassed I couldnt figure it out myself!). I asked what the charge was and thanked him-- No charge! In and out in 3 minutes. Without Grandville trailer I wouldnt have been able to rent and get on the road-- with hotels and plans already in place the next day. I was in a bind and you guys saved me!Great work guys! Everyone Has A Bad Day.The transaction of service done correctly is the valued process of Business. At times we get it right and then there are the other times.Recently I purchased some trailer tires from Grandville Trailer. The transaction was to replace both tires. The wheels were a question mark. Meaning if needed they would advise me of the wheels if I needed them.I brought the trailer in and was told that the service would be done by 1:00pm. I called at 1:45pm and was told it would be another 45 minutes. I drove from my location to Grandville Trailer, which took about 15 minutes. I parked a block away and waited. I could see when my trailer went in and came out. I received the call that my trailer was ready for pick-up. I responded that I would be there in 2 minutes. I walked in and paid for the service and left with no feed-back about the wheels. I had a couple of errands to complete before heading for home. By the time I returned home the tire was flat and had been for some time since the tire was no good. I called Grandville Trailer and left a message on the answering device.I received a call from Grandville Trailer the next morning and was asked to come in. I brought the tire wheel assembly. I was told by the person in service that he stated that I needed new wheels. This was never mentioned, and if it had been, I would not have left with a bad wheel assembly. This was not discussed at the time of pick-up. The three persons representing the company stated that the neglect was mind. My statement to them was to give me another tire and was told we can not give you another tire. My response was I did not say I would not pay for it. The wheel was not damaged. The tire was not put on correctly. Grandville Trailer representative who stated he was a professional questioned my ability not his through the whole discussion. This being the time to put the tires on to the quality exerted.I paid for the tire and was asked if I wanted them to put it on? The answer was no, I would take it to a shop that just does the job without the excuses that valued my business.I know when you have older wheels with tires sometimes a little service is necessary. I took it to a professional with experience and my wheels were correctly serviced. I called Grandville Trailer and told them on the same wheels the tire was fitted, and I am not having any problems. They give me nothing – no sorry, no refund and no service.I never mentioned that I had recently purchased a trailer from them costing over $3,500 last fall.JOHN GIBBONS former customer

Bought a 5x10 for my business. After 6 months I noticed that my parking lights weren’t working. I took the trailer to them expecting to pay for troubleshooting. The gentleman was quick to come look and found a blown fuse. He took the time to show me where the second fuse box was on my truck and explained how that sometimes the fuses blow for no reason. I asked him how much I owed he said “have a great weekend!” That is great service!

In July of this year i ordered a Neo trailer from GT, and the service and input i received during the process was outstanding! They recommended upgrading my tires which i would have never considered. While waiting for the trailer, I communicated with them several times via phone and email and they were always very responsive. When i picked up my trailer, they promptly helped me install a new hitch, and provide a thorough overview of the trailer. Great experience purchasing a trailer from Dave. He walked me through the process over the phone and as I had been looking for some time I already knew which size and configuration of trailer I would need. After about 15 minutes on the phone we had the deal done and when I got to the store the trailer was pulled out and ready for me along with all of the paperwork. I think I was at the store for all of 10 minutes! Their website is easy to navigate and the inventory is very up to date and fairly priced. Just bought a 8.5 x 20 car hauler and love it. I dealt with the owner specifically and he basically gave me the best deal around with better service than I could have asked for. He was very knowledgeable on the construction and quality of the trailer pointing out all of the features that this particular brand has compared to its competitors. Needless to say I was sold.
