Im so disappointed in our government mailing system! Why is UPS, FedEX and Amazon so much better!? Ive been waiting for an important package since last week and the tracking number only states transferring to other facility. I understand its the holiday season but customers need better and more in depth communication!
I went in to mail a package and I needed a piece of tape to tape the address label on, As I was waiting in line there was a clerk who had a customer and she clearly taped up his whole Box... Letting him know that they no longer tape things but she would do it for him. As I approached the counter I ask could I have one piece of tape to tape the address label on and she proceeded to tell me no, that I could buy tape. I walked out. Its badd customer service when one of the customers pointed out to me that she saw the guy clearly have his whole Box taped.
This by far is the friendliest and most welcoming Post Office I have ever been to. They have helped me send out my packages the correct way many times. They are great!
Had a package intercepted and held at this location for pick up. Without even looking for my package, the worker tells me that all of the packages are held at the location in Jenison because they only handle PO boxes. The workers at Jenison spend 20 minutes attempting to find my package and tell me that the package was last scanned at the Grandville location so it has to be there. I go back, talk to the same employee, show her the tracking number, and tell her that the Jenison location said it was at Grandville. She looks at the number, asks her supervisor if there was a package being held. Supervisor says, Yeah its right there. THE ONLY PACKAGE IN THE ENTIRE FACILITY! She hands me the package and says, Im sorry. Ive never seen this before. I could have saved an entire hour of my life if she wouldve just looked for the package instead of writing me off with her assumptions.
I must be dealing with different people than the ones the others have experienced...I run a business from home so Im sending out packages every week through this post office. They (Ive dealt with 2 middle aged ladies and 1 middle aged man multiple times) are always very nice and always chat with me while getting my packages ready. All of my packages have been dealt with in a professional manner. I was sort of shocked when I noticed such low ratings! Would recommend going here to mail out packages. I come in with a smile and leave with a smile.
This is by far the most frustrating post office that I have encountered. Anytime I am expecting a package of any size I can always count on it to be late ... Even if it is shipped priority or express shipping. Their ‘tracking system’ is also not ever accurate or updated. I highly recommend shipping any packages via other carriers like FedEx or UPS if you want anything to be received on time.
I was mailing a vintage pattern out and when I asked the man who was helping me to be careful with it, he looked me in the eyes and literally threw it into a bin. Intensely rude. I suggest you drive the extra 5-10 minutes down the road to the USPS on 28th street in Rogers Plaza because theyre always super nice and eager to help you in any way possible.
Ive had nothing but good experiences here.
Slow service, even though my packages are just drop off boxes. Definitely understaffed for the traffic it gets in the busy hours. The staff they do have though are very kind and understanding, but for some reason, some of the customers are not so.
This is the worst post office ever! The guy that works there is extremely rude, and the other lady that works there, I think her name is Laura, is also very rude. They treat you like a piece of shi** they must really hate their job! Theres another lady that works there and she is the only person who is completely the opposite. She is very nice and she treats you respect and love. She is an amazing person.
I am here nearly every day and they are fantastic - even when I come running in right at closing time! Thanks and keep up the good work!
Horrible costumer service. The lady here was so rude and had no desire to help. I went in with my 2 kids looking to send out a package which Ive never done before. She wouldnt tape it up or write out my label for me so I had to hold my kicking yelling toddler while trying to write out a simple label. Awful service!!! Id suggest going to the walker post office instead.
Worst post office Ive ever been to. Thought the guy at the front was the rudest, most unproductive person until I met the manager; she was easily ten times more rude and unhelpful than the first person. I was discouraged by the gentleman to put insurance on my package and when I asked the man to tape the box he refused saying the adhesive on the box was strong enough. Before leaving he made a comment of how nothing ever gets done around here. Sure enough my package comes up missing; when it finally turns up to the destination, nothing was in the box, as the adhesive WAS NOT strong enough. Additionally with no insurance. Trying to speak with the manager a week or so later, she stepped all over me and told me to take my problems to another post office. What an absolute disgrace of not only a way a business should be run but human beings in general. Not only am I now out of luck with getting any type of money back on my missing product that was worth just shy of a grand but now I have to make it up to the person that didnt get their product, which in turn hurts me and my business.
Grandville post office has always been friendly and nice try Jenison if you want to see poor customer service! PakMail charges additional fees on top of the stand shipping rates. Priority mail is also a great option the mail carrier pick up the package at your door and you can create the labels on line works great for me on lines on free boxes also delivered to your door great for eBay!
Went in to try and get packages so I could send out a bunch of items, so I figured I would get some and bring them home so I could put the right contents in the packages and right the address on them so all I had to do was bring them back in and ship them. Let me tell you this I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!! The lady was rude and talked down to me because I didnt know all the info, I never send out packages so I dont know all the options, so instead of helping me she was just getting upset. I have some choice words for Laura but they are not proper for a review. My suggestion is just go down the street to Pak Mail and ship your things. It is people like her that make people do everything online and why the post office in struggling. Thank you for reading my review and I hope this has helped you to know never to go there.
Ive never had a problem getting my pay in the mail....this is now the 4th time this year it has been lost. This one is now 2weeks late and counting. Its been re issued 2 times...still nothing
Had the worst experience with a teller here. I know someone who uses this USPS all the time, and has back and forth experiences, but most of mine have been negative and today just took the cake. Confusing instructions from a teller who was rude to other customers as well, forced in and out of line to correct mistakes from the teller, waiting far longer than I should have had too, and getting charged priority when I told the teller I didnt need or want priority shipping. Eventually I paid the higher price so I could just ship my gift and get out. As someone who works in a service industry I can usually sympathize with other service workers, but the level of incompetency on display was staggering. I will never use this post office again.
Staff are awesome! I deal with them all the time and havent had any issues.
Never had a bad experience with the Grandville post branch.
The ladies they have behind the counter are downright rude, I have even encountered one, yelling at an 80 yr old woman because she wasnt aware she couldnt send media to troops in Afghanistan, no clue how these three women still have jobs, I have had over two dozen encounters that ended the same way, if you hate helping people, why do u choose this as a job? If you go in this store, rely on these workers to treat you as if your an idiot.
They weighed my mail and sold me the stamps I needed. I gave them my mail and Im getting it all back now. They sold me the wrong stamps.... Thanks a lot.
Terrible experience with awful human beings that apparently work there. Never go to this one unless you want to be treated like you are a second class citizen.
Spent 10 minutes on the phone screaming at a computer to let me talk to a real person. Finally guessed the right word to be put through, only to be put on hold for 50 minutes!
Every person Ive encountered at this post office and disrespectful and treat all customers like crap. Dont bother coming here, find ANY other office in the area.
Horrible people
