I HIGHLY recommend Herkner Jewelers. My fiance purchased my ring from an out-of-town jeweler. When I noticed it was getting dirty, I walked into Herkner and was met with the best customer service. Jessica looked over the ring and noticed a loose stone that needed tightening. They got the cleaning and tightening done same day. When I went to pick it back up, their computers were down and were unable to make any card transactions. Jessica told me not to worry about the $20 I owed, she only hoped to see me in again. I will be definitely be back, and I certainly hope many others consider Herkner for ALL their jewelry needs.

Jessica supported my fiancé and I through the whole engagement ring and wedding band process. She met with us both to understand style, and then met separately with my now spouse to finalize plans for my engagement ring and band. It came out perfectly. She used estate diamonds so that I did not feel guilty, but designed floral patterns and incorporated five stones in the the ring to represent our complete family. I loved going to Herkner Jewelers with my grandparents as a little girl and stare at all the amazing rings. When I got engaged, my husband was determined to get me the ring of my dreams, but as medical students we couldnt afford it, so we got married with just bands (which was fine with me, because I got the man of my dreams). Years later, when we were working out of state, we created a custom setting together for the engagement ring that has the initials of our 3 daughters woven into the mounting. We held off on getting the center stone at that point until more school loans were paid off. The staff here is very personal and friendly. Randy did a great job helping me purchase my wife’s engagement ring and wedding band. They have done great job cleaning the ring for us as well. Recently they soldered my wife’s wedding band and engagement ring together. The rings now look even more beautiful together. In addition, they were able to complete this quickly for us to have it back for the Thanksgiving holiday.

I have bought two rings from herkner, and I am as happy about them as anyone could be! Looking for an engagement ring I went all over Grand Rapids and did not find the people who were willing to work with me for what I wanted(custom ring) for a fair price! I also went back and got our wedding band and got a pretty good sale price( even a day early)!Jessica and Kim are the nicest and most helpful people, they want you to have great jewelry that works for you! After a few visits to various chain jewelers, spending some time in Herkner Jewelers will show a stark contrast. My experience at the chain jewelers felt more like a sales pitch than anything else. In contrast, Randy, Doug, and all the other employees at Herkner’s were supremely helpful and accommodating.

My only regret with Herkner Jewelers was that I didnt go there for the engagement ring. When I decided it was time to tie the knot I used a different Jeweler based off a friends recommendation. When it came time for my fiancé and I to look at a wedding band and find a ring I liked for myself, we stopped in to Heckler because it was right near our home. The place has so much character when you walk in the door. Far beyond anything I expected when pulling into a strip mall. Randy was amazing to work with. He explained the history of the shop, how long they have been in business and I love how they incorporated the old shop with the new. I was very impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. He made the process painless and fun.One thing that got to me about the first jeweler is that I met with a gentlemen there 3 times to design my wifes ring and he still didnt remember my name and it just didnt feel very personable. Randy was very inviting and remembered my name the second I walked in the door each time. This is exactly what I expected from a top notch jeweler. I have no need to shop anywhere else in the future. Was recommended and was very impressed. I brought a family piece that another jeweler insisted it was in bad shape and I should have remade into a custom piece. Herkners told me the piece was beautiful, cleaned and polished it up for me, and told me to wear it for years until the prongs needed to be redone. No cost. That was quite a while ago and now that the prongs need to be redone, I will be bringing it there.

Excellent repair! The prongs on my engagement ring were loose and a diamond fell out of my wedding band. No way would I trust anyone in Chicago to fix my ring. Brought it home to GR and Roger not only fixed it but buffed out the scratches!!

The staff has always been friendly and helpful in determining our jewelry repair options, all of our repairs are taken care of in a timely manner, and our jewelry looks like new when we get it back!Knowing there would be an engagement in the future, my mom and I stopped into Herkners this past summer to look at engagement rings and see what styles I liked. Randy Dice showed us the perfect options based on my preferences, he also provided great information about rings and how to select a diamond. He even wrote down all of the information for me to pass along to my boyfriend. And now that we are engaged, I am just so thankful that my fiancee went through Herkners, working with Randy to get my engagement ring. I love the ring, it is absolutely perfect! I also love that for my center diamond my fiancee had the option and picked an estate diamond that was recut to a higher quality, its nice knowing that the diamonds story gets to continue on in my ring.We even stopped in the other day to pick up another ring getting repaired, and check on getting a 6-prong setting for the diamond instead of a 4-prong for my engagement ring. Randy came out to talk with us and immediately remembered us both by name, and assured us theyd take care of it when Im back in town! Always friendly service of the highest quality! Im looking forward to returning to get my prong setting switched out, get my wedding band, and also check out the mens band selection for my fiancee!

We had a terrible experience here! My girlfriend and I went here as I heard from my older aunt that this was a good place to go. Their selection was not very unique, and the sales lady that helped us didnt seem to have a clue about diamonds! We just did not enjoy our experience here at all. They also didnt seem to care, didnt know what they were talking about and didnt have nice rings! What more can I say, find another jeweler.
