I absolutely love this apartment complex. It has a sense of security. I just wish people would clean up behind their dogs. They let them poop everywhere. But the staff is very nice and professional.. Whenever I have a problem and I submit a maintenance request, it is taken care of very quickly. It is a great place to live and it is definitely worth the money.
Information included in survey prior. I loved it when I lived her a couple years ago and I came back to an experience that was disappointing. Today I move and I’m so excited to no longer have to pay so much, and get so little.
7 years years staying at property. Still love it. Quite place to live, never any trouble and any request I have had is always taken care of right away.
I still like it here. I have been here for 3 years, and I have good neighbors. I still feel safe, and the property is kept pretty clean.
Overall the community is decent. The exterior halls and stairways could use some cleaning (power washing) from time to time. The upkeep of the community grounds could definitely be a little better. Other than that the apartment community is nice.
Amazing complex and neighborhood!
Nasty neighbors, open trash dumpster with trash constantly overflowing, people randomly leaving their trash in the parking lots instead of just throwing away, or leaving trash bags in front of their units on Friday to stink the entire weekend although trash pickup is Sunday-Thursday. Property has definitely gone down in the two years Ive been here due to lack of pride from residents. Cant wait until my lease is up to get away from here.
The best place to live in Grand prairie great hospitality great property well kept on top of all maintenance
The staff is so nice and if anything needs worked on it gets done so quickly! I always see people cleaning the property and picking up trash. Such a clean community.
I can truly say living in these apartments have been a wonderful experience. It will be 2 years in August since I have lived here. It is a safe environment. Management keeps you informed of anything major that we need to know regarding the community. It is quiet and peaceful and maintenance is on point at a 100%. You send in a maintenance service request the next day it is done. Yes I have had a couple of issues but each one was resolved. The manager is AMAZING!! They need more like her in management position in apartments. Her staff is also amazing. No apartment is perfect but if you do what they ask of you then you won’t have any problems. I have seen officers that come through checking the area. They have activities and neighborhood crime watch meetings regarding the surrounding communities and to listen to concerns we may have. I would recommend these apartments if you want great maintenance, safety. awesome office staff and a quiet place.
My sister just moving in she said that the neighbor or all mean giving the office compliments on the kid. There kids there’s nothing we can do just let be and it’s supposed to be a friendly place for families. Trust me you don’t want to live here you pay to much and to be getting compliments by any little things.
I came to tour the apartment and Janet provided great customer service she made me feel so comfortable and answered all of my questions. There’s alot of competition in the area but they all have similar prices with the fees that others include already and others add additionally.
We have lived here for almost two years. We love it! All of the office & maintenance staff are great. They are polite, professional, and extremely helpful. We love each and every one of them. Some of the reviews i have read are just people venting because they didnt get what they wanted it thought they deserved. We all know people like that😁. I feel blessed for being able to live here. Thank you all!!!
I’ve lived here now for 1 year and almost 2 months. So far, I love living here. It’s close to shopping areas and very convenient with it being right by the gas station. The one think I wish they started was covered parking. Coming home from work to try and find a parking space is a real pain because all the spots are taken except for the covered areas. I wish that for every resident, they would get 1...or 2...covered parking stickers. That could possibly reduce the amount of people who park in the uncovered area.
I would give it zero stars if I could!! Worse place to live in Grand prairie. Over priced and bad service. It took a week for them to fix my water soaked sheetrock from an upstairs water leak. There are no parking stickers for people who pay rent. You may have to park several buildings away because anybody or anyone can park wherever. Your lucky if you can even find a spot inside the gate which you pay for. DO NOT RENT!!!
Have been living in this apt for about 9 months now. when I moved into my apt it was as if no one had lived in it for about a year. everything was dusty rusted and filthy apt. I did not mind cleaning it up but my latest problem was roaches. my apt is spotless but I can just figure out where the roaches are coming from. these are not some small roaches. these roaches are big and they tend to fly. I can accept anything else but I dont do bugs. they have exterminate the multiple times but it just makes the situation worse. once my lease is over I am moving out
I dont really write reviews but since I began to apartment hunt, I notice only the bad gets written for a lot of places and kept me from even viewing the property. Since I love living here, I thought I would make sure they get their credit for being an awesome property! I moved here from Houston and toured about every complex in the area and either I wasnt happy with the staff or the property itself. The Parkways, in my opinion is worth every penny - I have peace of mind here and thats what helps me sleep at night. Parking is an issue with every property in the world, trust me, I know but life here is great, quiet, family-oriented environment, clean, and they have an awesome staff. Whenever I need something taken care of, I place a ticket on-line and it gets done by time I am home from work. Been here since December and lived in numerous apartments in Texas and this is definitely top 3!
I lived here for a year and a half during late 15-17 years. Never had any problems with the complex itself or my neighbors. The few work orders I had to put in were taken care of promptly the first time. I had to break my lease early and negotiated for a shorter notice than the 60 day norm. When I went to pay, my bill showed more than I owed, but it was taken care of right there for me.
Relocated from Chicago, ILWe moved into this apt complex Sep 2015, we were told we couldnt move into the apt for two weeks because they had to do some maintenance and cleaning; okay that was understandable. They treated us amazing!!! on the initial visit, come to find out it was all fake just to get us to sign the lease. On moving day we found out they did absolutely no cleaning and only minor maintenance work. When I tell you no cleaning I mean we moved into someone elses filth, cob webs in the corners, glass and nails in the carpeting, food on the walls that ran past the base boards and into the carpeting, the microwave wasnt even clean. The maintenance work they did was patch up four holes in the master bedroom and throw paint over the patch work, they left the nails in the walls in the rest of the apt. One of the best things we seen was the microwave door handle was spray painted black and the stove top was painted black to look new. Now every time we cook nothing can be on the stove top because when the paint is hot it comes right off. The worst thing about this complex is the management. Not only will the on site managers return our calls neither will their corporate managers Marybeth and Jay, we are being told everyone is busy. Oh and they offered us a garage for one month for our inconvenience, just so you know that is $75.We are obligated to pay our rent on time they should be obligated to provide us with a clean apt and great customer service; all these people care about is their monthly paycheck.
I lived there for 2 1/2 years only moved out because I bought a house. The complex is very quiet and the your neighbors are nice and respectful. This is how nice the residents are, I went out town for Xmas and NYE holiday break. When I left i noticed my downstairs neighbor had a package from Amazon outside their door. I guess they were out of town too because when I came back the package was still there. They came back a few hours later and I had told them that their box had been there for over a week and even they were amazed about it. ALSO the office and maintenance staff are GREAT! very prompt when if you have an issue with the apt. One of the manager, Brittnie Allen, is wonderful. She was there before and after new management took over and help the complex friendly and helpful!
I have been here for over a month and informed the office of ants. They stated that someone will come and spray. Two says later I called the inform them that the ants are still there and now more of then have come. Every week its the same thing, Ill put you on the list. Well yesterday I come home to ants inside of my apartment and immediately call the office to inform them and she said that she will put me on the list. I asked her since it would be another day before someone can come out could she have maintenance come to look and no one never came. I had to bleach my entire front door and kitchen down just to control the ants before my 5 yr old daughter got home. I had to throw away alot of food because ants were over everything. So we had to eat out because I was afraid to put any food on the counter tops.. I called the office this morning to check and see if pest control had came out and the lady stated let me check to see if they are scheduled to come out today, (Not sure why she didnt do that yesterday) and left me on hold. I guess that it doesnt matter that I now have ants inside my so which I have told them for a month now!!
My husband and I are clean people who take care of our apartment. We have had roaches several times. We have called the cops on two of our neighbors who smoke weed and the other who parties until 1am with loud bass music that vibrates the walls in our bedroom. It drives us insane when we are trying to sleep. The power shuts off randomly about once a month or so. Last night the power shut off twice. We have also had issues with people drinking and leaving bottles on the stairs or hallways in our building. Sketchy people also meet in the west corner of the apartment complex where they can’t be seen from the main entrance. She line their cars up, turn on music from their cars, and just “hangout”. Same neighbor that smokes weed. Assuming they are buying or selling drugs. Lastly, I am currently waiting in the lobby for any worker and I called ahead to ask if they would be here from 12:30-1:00 and they said yes, yet no one is here. Save yourself the frustration and hassle and don’t lease here.
Be Careful, this apartment will charge you a fortune while moving out. Our lease was over and we moved out on last day and gave key & made apartment clean but still they charged us a lot. There are other apartment close by which are far better because my friends lived their and while moving out they never had this kind of charges.
I lived here for 2 years and was a wonderful tenant. My apartment smelled fine upon move in (when I did the initial inventory), but after a few weeks it started to reek of cigarette smoke. I have really bad asthma and it did nothing but make that worse. It is obvious that they used an deodorizer to hide the smell from me as a new tenant. The stench only got worse over time, but I continued to live there and not complain about it. When I moved out, they charged me $100 to odorize the awful smell of the apartment that I had to endure over 2 years. The smell soaked into all of my furniture and my clothes which is now affecting me at my new apartment. When I asked the apartment to take off the $100 charge, they would not work with me at all. They said it was something I had to put on the initial inventory, which was impossible since they masked it from me. It is very upsetting that you can be such a great tenant that never had a late payment or caused any issue and can be treated so unfairly after leaving. I am not a petty person and I do not write reviews, but this was not right and people need to know what they are getting into.
I have lived at Parkways on Prairie Creek for 2 months. The reason for the two star rating is the heavy handed approach of the staff toward the renters. Make sure you read the lease agreement carefully before signing. Especially paragraph 28. This is the paragraph that the staff tried to say gave them a right to do RANDOM INSPECTIONS on my apt. That paragraph says nothing about inspections or coming into your home without permission but that is exactly what they seem to believe they can do. When went to the office to talk to the office manager about this she said oh we can do that. Its a random inspection. The way she said it makes me think that they do it regularly and at will. I also received letter from the office about a week after I moved in threatening to charge me 25 dollars because I dont put the trash out exactly right. I had set it out side to early or something. The apartments and the area are nice but if you choose to look at these apts please tell them about this review and the fact that some people are putting the word out about this attitude they have toward renters.
Ive been here a year and some months already. Since the first day I came in here last year Jeanette and Jennifer were very helpful. I had a recent eviction due to my husband being diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was put out of work. We were in the need of having somewhere to live. The apartment complex we were currently living in had rats and we had a big wood rat in our living room and we were downstairs. I came here and they immediately wanted to assist us anyways. Long as our balance showed paid from the other complex. Anytime I needed something they handled it right away. Anytime I put in a request for something that needs to be fixed maintenance is here within an hour or two. Ive never had to wait. I really havent had any major issues. Just light bulb changes and thats really it. Its so quiet and peaceful. Even my friends and family love it here. I constantly get tons of packages and not one time have they complained. I approve of getting rid of the gate code because too many people were just coming in and out using that code. I felt safe from the start of moving here and would like to continue to feel safe since I do have 4 small children. No one ever reports the good things about places. They are constantly reporting negativity anytime they get mad about something. I renewed my lease and Im glad to say I will be staying here until I buy my home in a few years. Thanks again ladies. You rock!
Went and took a tour of their property. Janett A. gave me a tour she was very nice & helpful!
The GOOD - They have nice apartments, the gate works 99% of the time, they hold dinners/mixers for the guests, and free washers and dryers. The BAD - Rent is pretty high considering how much space you get. Parking lousy though. If you park after 9pm, its nearly impossible to get a spot anywhere near your building. There are too many covered spaces that arent being used, and unless youre paying for a covered spot it gets ridiculous trying to find a spot.BEWARE - This complex kept my deposit after i moved out for cleaning and painting (something that Ive NEVER had a complex charge me for before). Nothing was damaged. The carpet was dirty (as it would be after a person had lived there for a year). They sneak it in the lease that if you dont leave the apartment SPOTLESS youll be charged for cleaning fees.
The manager,is doing a great job.she is stepping up,she trying to have things going on we have family night, cowboys night, thing for the kids.I was thinking about moving after being here 10 years,im going to stay. This is my family,so I m staying here at The Parkway,I give it a#5.Be Blessed.
I have lived in many apartment complexes and this one hands down was the best Ive ever lived in. I am a single woman in my 30s so safety is very important to me. There was not one night that went by that I did not feel safe. I am an RN and would work night shifts or get home late and never felt like my safety was ever in jeopardy. The complex is well lit, a patrol officer is always there and a cop lives in the complex. I lived at Parkways for 13 months and lived in a huge one bedroom. They keep the complex well maintained and clean. If there are any issues they txt or send emails to the residents. Every time I had a maintenance request it was handled the next day very quickly and promptly. The office staff are wonderful and they know you by name. They go above and beyond to accommodate you in any way possible. They understand when you need a couple more extra days to pay rent or you are going through a hard time. They work with you. They do not send ugly messages on your door. The only problem I have ever had with my stay at parkways was I had a maintenance problem with my dishwasher disposal and needed someone to take a look at it. That very next week I was scheduled to have a rhinoplasty done and had picked up all my meds ahead of time including my pain meds (50 Vicodin 10mg tablets) I set them on my kitchen bar and thought nothing of it. When maintenance fixed my dishwasher disposal a couple days had gone by and I had noticed my pain meds were missing. No one else had a copy of my key and no one else had entered my apartment since then. I was frantic. I would have no pain meds after my surgery was over. Luckily because I am an RN and it was the day before my surgery my surgeon wrote me another script after I explained to him what had happened. I sent the manager an email explaining to her what happened and she not only apologized to me via email but personally in the office. It was essentially my fault leaving something like that out in the open but I was not thinking. Any time maintenance is entering your apartment and you are not there always hide your things or take them with you. Its sad that there are dishonest people out there but there are. That was my only complaint with this complex. Parking was not a problem for me. I didnt pay to have covered parking and I was always was able to find a spot. The apartment and the community are beautiful and I would have renewed my lease if the prices were a bit lower. I also needed to find somewhere closer to my new job. Overall this complex was great and I enjoyed my stay at parkways. I will miss the awesome staff and everyone who works hard to make their tenants feel at home and happy. I was also able to get back a lot of my deposit which was awesome. Best place ever! Thank you for letting me stay at Parkways.
Great and peaceful living!!! Great location besides to hotel neighboring us, maintenance response times are awesome; however garbage site on weekends need a new solution!!!
Walls thin as hell. Can hear nieghbors entire conversations, house hold no heat/ac because of thin walls.
Neighbors car got stolen from the parking lot DONT MOVE HERE !!!!!Office dint do anything and never inform residents of such incidents before BEWARE!!
Hey its a place to live
Front desk was really helpful
