Her assistant Regina also is amazing. She is super relaxed and funny and makes you feel comfortable the whole time you’re there. Another assistant, Julie is so nice. She gave me lots of great advice about Grand Junction since I’m new here. Every time I call the office, the receptionist is so nice! She knows my name and always sounds happy to hear from me. When I initially reached out my first question was if they accepted my insurance. They told me they did but neglected to tell me they were not in network, meaning they can charge whatever they want. Went to my initial appointment, was told I would not be charged for the x-rays as they had my recent ones and wanted better quality, but they did indeed charge me for all of them, putting me out that money and using up my insurance premium. Dr was nice enough, hygienist kept taking her mask off.

I am a freshman at Colorado Mesa University and unfortunately some dental complications came up this semester. Thankfully I was referred to Dr. Gillis, her staff is exceptional and they truly take pride in what they do. Besides being very professional they make you feel like family. I felt confident each time I went in that I would be in great hands. Knowing I could have great conversations with Dr. Gillis and her staff made me feel a lot more at home. Not only is this a great office it’s also within walking distance from the university which is a plus if your a student with out a car. I had a very sore tooth. They got me in very quickly. There were actually two issues. Dr. Gillis quickly took care of one problem and referred me to someone who could fix the second. Who wants to go to the dentist? I resisted for as long as I could, then I saw the commercial on TV and it hooked me. I called for the first appointment in Aug. 2018. The entire process of getting my problem solved took a little over a year. In that time I got to know the staff to be genuinely interested in me and what my goals were.When the problem was solved it happened on my 80th birthday. I arrived for my final appointment to find the staff welcoming me by singing Happy Birthday (all but Regina - she says she cant sing) but she did give me a big hug. Then I was presented with a package of cupcakes to celebrate with. How great is that?I have had some really bad experiences in my lifetime with other dentists but I have to say I really looked forward to each appointment and now I have a beautiful smile that I dont hesitate using.Thanks to everyone.

Love this office! They send me a bunch of reminders before my appointment so I remember, I make them 6 mos in advance, which is great. The hygienists do a great of job remembering who I am and what issues, if any, I had last time. Overall, this is an awesome dentist office that cares for their patients, they even gave me a Joshua Tree chap stick last time I was there.

Whether you need a lot of complex dental work, or simply a clean& polish, this is the best dentist and the best team on the Western Slope! I am NOT a brave patient, and these folks help me laugh and relax during my treatment every time. The best part is, Dr. Gillis does such excellent work, that it gets done right from start to finish. First of all I have to say I didnt do my due diligence check. My dental insurance only covers $1500 of their services (why?), but cover up to $2000 for most dental offices. I was impressed by the beautiful office decoration and decided to transfer all my family member to the clinic. Now my daughter is here for a short summer stay. The clinic tried to do as much dental work on her as possible. I was a little concerned about the cost but was reassured that it should all be covered by insurance besides my copay. Well insurance company think their charges are not legit and refused to pay half of it (later I did research and found some of their value-added services are controversial, but you never know until you stuck with the bill). Then I wanted to talk to the clinic to get the charges to the reasonable level but they refuse to badge and send it to collection agency. I was infuriated that they don’t even care about how much you are going to pay out of your pocket, or simply incompetent! Beware! what you see and hear is not what you get. You will be screwed by bad credit!!!

Dr. Gillis completely changed the health of my husbands teeth for the better. She provides a personalized experience for her patients and remembers past conversations months after they occur. She is patient and caring and overall we have had a wonderful experience with her.

Im glad I decided to switch to Dr. Gillis practice for a number of reasons. The most obvious was that I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable time frame. I also had an unexpected pleasant surprise with a new laser gum treatment prior to my cleaning that she utilizes in her practice. The treatment felt like a warm water rinse along my gum line which eliminated the bacteria that causes inflammation post cleaning. Typically after a cleaning, my gums are slightly swollen and uncomfortable for a couple days, the laser treatment prevented any of this from occurring. I dont foresee that I will ever have my teeth cleaned again without the laser treatment beforehand that her practice offers.

I have been a Dr. Gillis patient for 25 years. That, in-and-of-itself, should give you some idea about how I feel about the care I receive. I take good care of my teeth, and so my annual visits are for the regular cleaning and check-up. The hygienists always friendly and do a super job. Highly recommended!

I recently moved to town and found Julie Gillis office based on a recommendation. The staff is super friendly and professional. The office is clean, comfortable, and accomodating. I had to have a few fillings done, and it was completed quickly, efficiently, and with expert care. They are very gentle and dont use shame or talk down to you about flossing- which is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to going to the dentist. The billing was easy, and the staff went out of their way to look into some insurance issues for me, and were very clear in explaining things and answering all of my questions. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone, and will be returning there for years to come.

So, I managed to break a tooth TWO days before Thanksgiving. Dr. Gillis and her staff were able to get me in promptly. I needed to have a crown done. This meant that I needed the dreaded injections to numb my mouth.Those dreaded injections are the main reason I dislike going to the dentist And I’m ALWAYS relieved when I have a good check up at my cleaning. The tooth I broke was one of my upper front teeth. This is the worst place for having an injection in my previous experience. Being a middle tooth, I needed to have injections on BOTH sides because the nerves for pain tend to overlap in that area. I was expecting the worst, but I experienced the BEST. I had very little discomfort with the administration of the two injections.Dr. Gillis and her staff have been my home for dental care in the last five or six years. I’ve always been treated courteously, with respect and have been well cared for. I highly recommend her for your dental care needs.

However; I met Dr. Gillis and her team about 10 months ago after deciding my teeth were long over due for a tune up. Most amazing dentist and staff I have ever come across. Im 65 so have seen more than just a few dentists. My biggest fear is, of course, the shots. Im sure I am not the only one that hates that. Dr Gillis uses a technique so I never felt any of the shots! The hygentist is also amazing. She did a root cleaning on me. My comfort was first priority and I felt very little of it. Through all the proceedures, the staff was always checking on my comfort level. Where I have gone in the past it was more about the alotted time. They were as kind as they coulb be while staying within their time constraints. Dr Gillis and her staff had to spend more time with me than they had thought they would but I never felt they were rushing through. THANK YOU DR. GILLIS AND YOUR AMAZING STAFF!!
