Such a neat find, the woman who checked us out was very knowledgeable and unbelievably friendly and kind. My son loved baby hanging out around the plants and green house. And picked out a very beautiful string of dolphin and another little succulent.

Great nursery with a funny bird. Theyve got ladybugs that most other places dont seem to have. Prices are about cheap as dirt, but you get a planr with the dirt to.

Good varieties of mostly healthy looking plants. They think too highly of themselves on pricing though and dont mark non-healthy looking plants down. Good to look around for ideas but I would go elsewhere to buy first. Helpful staff.

PLANTS I love plants and they have all the best plants

They have gone through a lot by just getting the things you need for your garden like we all know do to Mr.Covy-19. Trees are also hard for them to get but they still work and get them so that you can just order those trees. Overall I think that they are a good, hardworking business and that they are good people. As a tree planter my opinion on Bookcliff Gardens is that the quality of all their plants,trees and products are extremely great. I recommend buying items from this local shop to support the community. I have live in this community for 15 years and have no doubts of buying products from Bookcliff Gardens.

Stephanie and Rick worked with me on some miscommunication which resulted in having what wrong tree planted in my yard.We came to a compromise and they were wonderful. Great customer service. That’s how you retain a customer’s business. First class. Thank you.

We love shopping here! They have a beautiful selection of houseplants. Our 1 year old son loves the parrot. The houseplants are gorgeous and their garden veggies and fruits are always amazing. The staff has always been lovely to us as well. Can’t wait for next season!

Extensive nursery with knowledgable staff. It can be hard to find a staff member because they are buzzing around taking care of plants, but theyre happy to help when you get ahold of one. We went to get some flowering bushes for my mothers home that would feed hummingbirds (her favorite animals). The staff helped us pick out a great variety of gorgeous, healthy plants.Ive been in before for a few little projects and Im always impressed and delighted by the variety and quality of their plants, but their attention to detail while helping my mother feed the hummingbirds was wonderful.

I’ve been gardening for the last 10 years and I very much like bookcliff gardens, their staff are nice and knowledgeable and their plants healthy and well. Plus a nice houseplant selection. I’ve got three little kids and they are less well behaved than I’d like them to be but no one here has ever been rude to them or acted annoyed and as a mom who is trying her best I *really* appreciate that.I only wish things were priced better, it’s really hard to tell how much things cost and I always leave a little disappointed in how much I spent. I would really love to see a price tag on every plant or group of plants.

These folks are experts, helpful and knowledgeable. They have high quality plants, healthy and diverse in selection. Also farm fresh produce. And everything you need for a garden. They have a commercial landscaping service too which cannot be beat.

I really love this place, which makes me sad to write this review. I am leaving 5 stars because I understand not everyone is great at customer service and just needs help understanding how to treat customers.I recently went to Bookcliff Gardens and waited in line for 5-10 minutes while 2 cashiers were chatting up a storm with the customers. There was no acknowledgement that I was there, but it gets worse.As I am waiting in line with heavy things in my hands, the cashier leaves to help someone else, as if I wasnt there at all. She doesnt say one moment or Ill be right back. She doesnt even look at me.The other cashier continues talking to other people - not ringing up anything at all, just talking. I decide to keep waiting and eventually left because it honestly seemed they didnt want me there or something, it made me uncomfortable. The cashier that I was in line with never came back.This was the first time I experience something like this - Ive been here 3x before and always had positive experiences, but came at a different time of day and never saw these new people. Now I just feel weird about coming here, so Im not coming back.

This is one of my favorite places to go for my the plants I want and get great advice from very friendly staff. They have alot of things I cant find at other nerseries. Their plants are healthy and many to choose from.

The actual store is a great place to buy plants for your yard and house, a bit on the expensive side but thats not why I wanted to rate these guys. They have a lousy website, doesnt show what they have in stock, pricing or even details about the plants they do show. Get an expert website person!

Visiting Bookcliff Gardens is more than just a shopping trip for me, it is a joyful experience!!

This is my GO-TO feel GOOD plant-base garden and landscape shop. The staff is super helpful and there is a great assortment of flora and accessories.

I am so impressed with the knowledge of questions I asked, impressed. I put Lady Bugs out hope they hang around.

Though it seems the owners have put an outdoor cashier and have started curbside pickup, little else seems to be in place for social distancing. Most of the staff do not wear masks and do not stand back. Surprising as most customers are in the at risk age group.

I delivered here, people are nice and friendly. Really nice nursery, super clean and oriented. I would definatly shop here.

I love coming here! They always have a wide variety of plants and flowers. You have a much better selection. Really the only negative thing I have to say about this nursery is that they dont have fruit trees, which frankly I dont understand. I would recommend everyone to shop here first.

We get the most beautiful flowers and vegetable plants for our garden and pots. I love to support local and HIGHLY recommend Bookcliff. I love that I can get all my questions answered by knowledgable and kind staff. They know what they are talking about and want to help you with your garden, too. They carry a wide variety of plants, trees, shrubs, succulents and the greenhouse full of geraniums is my favorite. We also love to go see the parrot, too!

Last year we bought some ornamental grasses and lavender. We were explicitly told that there was a one year guarantee on the plants. Two of the plants did not come back this spring and we are now getting a different story on the guarantee. We are disappointed and were misled.I have received a very satisfactory response from Dennis and am relieved to hear that he is honoring the original information we received. While we may not have completely understood the guarantee we relied on a busy employee for the information. Thank you for making this right. We will be back. I changed from 1 star to 5 based on owner response.

They have a decent selection of plants, but the staff leaves much to be desired. I stood around waiting for help for about 20 minutes. When someone finally asked if I needed help, and I said yes, she then went back to her magazine. There were two employees hanging out around the counter, and it seemed they were not offering to help any other customers either.

Bookcliff Gardens is the best place to get good information in the Valley. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If things go wrong, they will explore all viable avenues to help you find a solution. The grounds are laid out neatly and logically allowing customers to peruse different items similar in nature.

Ive been a customer of Bookcliff Gardens for many years and have never been disappointed with anything Ive purchased. They have always given me great advice when I needed it and the classes they offer in the spring are a great motivator for the new season of my garden. Love the plant and seed selections, garden accessories and the free ideas that I like to implement in my own yard. They are my favorite garden center!

The prices seem a little high but the staff is very friendly. There is a great amount of knowledge here as well and the staff all welcome questions. Amazing grounds and good organization of plants.

The staff is knowledgable and very open to questions. Selection options are very good. Grounds are laid out neatly and plantings are grouped well to allow customers to peruse a variety of similar use. Dennis Hill is has a wealth of information and is willing to share his knowledge.

I recently purchased vegetable plants which looked great in the pots. Exactly half the plants died. I heard from several other people that plants they purchased died. Not good for a garden center especially one with high prices. I would not shop there again!

Great service in helping me pick out fertilizer and when my car wouldnt start helping me jump the battery. Then calling autozone for me to make sure they could get it replaced. Amazing service and very grateful for their help.

We tried Bookcliff this year, even after being told that their vegetables die. As was predicted, more than 50% of the vegetable plants we purchased died within the first two weeks. Compared to the Lowes plants from last year, with which we had 100% success at half the price, the BG plants are a real rip off! Aside from a nice atmosphere, Bookcliff seems to have mostly overpriced dead vegetables. We should have listened to the recommendation of a local friend and gone to Lowes - or Mt Garfield instead if you want to by local.

Bookcliff Gardens is my go to place. Consistently great products and most importantly they stand behind their warranties.

Prices are too high, particularly for perennials, which they have an average selection of. Vegetable/annual selection is very good. They need more roses of ALL TYPES (getting better over the last 2 years, after I bought a bunch online because they didnt carry any David Austins, nor did the staff that I talked to even know what they were!) Staff generally friendly & helpful. Tried to deal with their landscaping folks a couple of years ago but they were unhelpful at best (extremely expensive once they finally answered my contact a week or so later). Improving selection of native/xeriscaping plants. Basically, if I cant get it at MG Nursery, I go to Bookcliff. No luck there, look online.

I will never purchase from Bookcliff Gardens or recommend to anyone. The landscaping division ordered over $1400 worth of shading for my berry venture which was the wrong style (woven instead of knitted) at twice the price of the right style - which would have been knitted. It was also the wrong product for a wood structure application and more than likely will find a hole and ravel. Customer service was extremely slow. In fact I never received call backs when requested but continually needed to call. It is nice to buy local, but Im getting much better information for online purchasing in the future. If I could rate them below Poor I would. Bookcliffs, for me, has been twice the price at half quality with poor customer service.
