I have had a leak in my basement for two months on a system that Dodge services and it has yet to be fixed, causing mildew problems and lord knows what else. I had my heating system tuned up two months ago, I didn’t request a time up, they said it was suggested, but since then, my heat and hot water go out nearly daily. I stopped auto pay with Dodge oil because after two months of using other places to shower and electric heaters at night, my oil Bills were still well over $100 and that is with maybe three showers in a month and cooking one or two meals on the stove, pretty expensive showers. Not sure what is going on there, not sure why it has taken two months to order the correct parts for a system wien the parts can be found on the web and not sure why I wake up freezing each day and not able to shower for work and dodge oil wants me to pay for the tube up, that seemingly rendered my heating system useless unless I go down there and reboot it myself per their instructions and as their solution. This is a one year old on demand heating system.

If there were a negative star award it would go to Dodge oil. I use propane, the previous owners used dodge. I stayed with them because I didn’t know how to go about doing a tank swap with another company. (Very easy and painless btw) If there outrageousness prices don’t scare you away running out of propane multiple times during the winter will! (On automatic fill) the guys who deliver the propane have NO clue how to bleed your lines or even start your furnace so don’t expect them to help. Learn how to do it yourself or you will be paying someone to do it. I use propane for heating and cooking. I had 1 100 gallon tank that’s it. They never mentioned I should be using 2. When you run out they try to charge you a 200 fee you have to fight to get back. (Not supposed to be a charge if your on automatic fill. Also plan to wait 8-10 hours for them to come fill you up in the dead of winter. Miserable company to deal with!

I AGREE WITH EVERY ONE STAR REVIEWIf there was a minus star Id use it, the customer service is horrendous, its even worse than that!! Im sure the owner who passed away last June didnt realize his employees would run the company into the ground.. When the electricity went outfit a few days I called for a fill, I had to call 5 times and was told because I had a generator I was no longer eligible for automatic delivery, Most EVERYONE in Maine have a generator must have been lots of people calling at least 5 times a day.Needless to say The Customer Service is on Life support, when the new owners take over, lets HOPE thats their Top Priority, they lost me, and my new company makes it real easy..

I have been very happy with the customer service I get from Dodge Oil. They are quick to deliver oil or service my furnace. I know I could get oil cheaper at another provider but I would not have the great service and all the extra perks I get from Dodge Oil as a long time customer.

Excellent service. Auto delivery was set up and they have followed through despite a large rise in delivery volume. I am appreciative that a standing customer isnt forgotten despite high volume. I dont believe you can blame the company for an inability to respond to all orders from people who waited until they were out of oil before they ordered more.

Had them for years. Never had good service, they won’t deliver if there is so much as a dusting of snow. I used to deliver oil And always trudged through anything to make sure people had heat. I called recently because I wanted to get a bigger tank. They said it would be a month before they could even come out and look. And then probably another month before they could even think about installing a tank. Every time I call I get a voicemail never get to talk to a person. I will never use them again and I’m switching companies.

We have been with Dodge for 18 years and we absolutely love this company. From owners, to office staff like Pearl, to the hard working service men and delivery truck drivers. We love local businesses and Dodge Oil is at the top.

I called when everyone ran out of propane, because I was 100% out, and they made a special trip to give me some as soon as they got it. I really appreciated it. I am giving 4 stars however because I wasnt ever told that the entire state had run out of propane and thats why you skipped my initial delivery that week--you really need to just bite the bullet and hire a full time office staff of 3-5 employees. Other people are noting here that people shouldnt call when they run out of propane--but if you read peoples reviews the issue was that they WERE on auto-refill like I was, and they were skipped. This is because the entire state ran out of propane that week for a very brief period (all the companies). However, they should have a bigger office staff so that they can call us and tell us whats going on.

1 star because I cant give them a ZERO. No Customer service what so ever. I called multiple times to have an empty propane tank removed from our property and there has been either no answer when I call, no return calls after messages I leave or no tank pick up!!! I finally got a hold of someone and was told the tank would not be picked up until JANUARY!!!! WHY DOES IT TAKE 3 MONTHS? I hope people requesting propane deliveries dont have to wait 3 months... thatd be a shame. I have had my lawn seeded and fertilized and there will be a huge dead spot in the front of my lawn where the tank is currently placed. Please pick up your tank!!!!

People wait until a big storm to order oil and are surprised when they find out everyone else is doing the same? News flash, every oil and propane company right now is struggling. I’ve never had an issue with Dodge Oil. At times I was not able to pay my bill and they gladly worked with me through payments. Here’s a tip, don’t wait till your tank is almost empty before ordering oil!

The service guys that came over do not follow COVID-19 safety protocols. They had no masks with them and refused to wear disposable ones that I offered to them in order to work in my house. One claimed a medical issue and the other just refused.I had to have these guys come over to pump out my decommissioned oil tank since they were the only company willing to do it (companies wont unless you are an existing customer). I would have sent them away if it werent for being a captive customer. I called their office to complain and they offered nothing in the way of an apology or indication that they even care. This paragraph was from a review I left two years ago:Ive been hearing horror stories from numerous people in my community about their customer service during the cold snap. Ive been using them since I moved into my house because that is who delivered here before, and theyve been alright to me. But, now I need oil and they arent answering the phone after multiple phone calls during business hours. Gotta move onto another company.

On Saturday January 6 2018 my 80 year old mother calls me and says she has no heat/no hot water and no kitchen stove and believes she is out of propane. She had been a 25 plus year customer set-up on automatic delivery. She states she had left several messages with the answering service but no one has called her back. Upon arrival I confirm she is out of propane. Today is January 9, 2018 and we have left approx. 10-12 messages and still no return call. Fortunately we were able to set up space heaters and had no frozen pipes. At one time Dodge was reputable company that cared about the customer.those days are obviously over. Do yourself a favor and dont call Dodge oil & Propane.

Its despicable the way you capitalized on our recent disaster by charging your long time customers a delivery fee. Florida passed a law to protect its citizens from ruthless businesses like Dodge energy charging exorbitant rates after Hurricane disasters. Shame on you Dodge energy for gouging the bed ridden invalids, elderly and the rest of your loyal customers. I hope Maine passes similar laws to protect us from crooks like dodge energy.

We are forced to use them as our rental house runs their tank. So bad, they dont answer the phone during times that it is most needed, very cold or storms. they miss delivers and are rude as can be if you are lucky to get them on the phone. I would drop them if I could, such a bad way to treat the people who give you no e.g.. stay away if you are looking here.

Im writing this afternoon to express how enraged and disappointed I am with the service Ive received from Dodge Oil. As the company is aware, we have an auto fill agreement with Dodge to ensure we never run out of propane at our residence. Somehow, even with being on auto fill, Dodge Oil Company allowed us to run out of propane on Saturday, February 23. Please find below the chain of events which has been completely ignored by Dodge Oil company. At 8:30AM today, I made the first call to the answering service requesting assistance.Subsequent calls were made at 9AM, 9:20AM, 9:30AM and 10:45AM before I heard back from a representativeAt 11AM, Tom informed me that he filled the tanks, and that a service tech will be out by 12:30 to start the heat12:30 came and went with no sign of a burner techAt 1PM, another call was made to the answering serviceSeveral subsequent calls were made until we received a call at 1:45 from JeffJeff, the burner tech, informed us that this is the first hes heard of this request from service. He spoke to my wife in a very rude manner and told her that we are 7th or 8th on the list and he cant help us this weekend because he has other customers.I called Jeff, and he reiterated that he just got this information, and that he is unable to help. When I confronted this by stating that Tom told us hed be there by 12:30, he said, Tom is a delivery driver. He doesnt know my schedule, he shouldnt have told you that. Im too busy to help you and Im done talking with you.Like Dodge Oil Company, I operate a 24/7 always available service oriented company. The lack of customer service weve received today is absolutely abhorrent. Dodge Oil Company should be ashamed that its tagline is The Service People. To make things even more unbelievable, we have a two week old baby in the house that has no heat. Their answering service knew this, their delivery driver knew this, and their service tech knew this. Yet, we were told that we could not be helped. We were told that we are basically out of luck. I find this very upsetting given the fact that until today, we were automatic customers of yours. Furthermore, the lack of service we received today is in violation of the state statutes indicating you are to provide us with service after October 15. If any damage occurs to our house, furnace or pipes from the cold, Dodge Oil Company can expect communication from our attorney. From my professional experience with dealing with clients, I feel it would be the companies best interest to terminate Jeff immediately due to the way he talks to his customers. A simple, Im sorry you are experiencing this, I will do my absolute best to be there by _____ goes a long way. By stating that hes too busy for us, he told us that the customers of Dodge are not important. Based on his communication, and the lack of service weve received, we understand you are too busy to serve us. We wont bother them with our business any longer.

Ordered oil May 4th, and it is just now being processed for payment (May 29th). Called Dodge and was told the driver who delivered almost a month ago left the slip from payment/acknowledging the charge to my card in the truck, which was just found this week. The only thing being done, supposedly, is the driver/employee will be spoken with. Very upset with the service, especially since it took at least 3 phone calls just to get the oil delivered. Second time calling I left a message and they never called back. Very unprofessional, not doing enough to keep customers loyal. Will be finding another company.

Its the week of Christmas and we notice an ice storm coming Friday night into Saturday. We call to order propane as we already were fleeced by this company during the October wind storm when these morons didnt answer their phone all day and then magically their answering service picked up and charged us an after hours charge of $150. We called on Thursday and was told by this friggin gorham company that Thursday is the only day they deliver to gorham and because we didnt give 24 hour notice, we are subject to a fee. Thats right, a gorham company only delivers 1 day a week to gorham. This company is riddled with rude employees and an ownership that doesnt give a rats ass about their customers. Their account manager Gary is a snarky condescending little do nothing who should be unemployed. When the tank is empty Im switching companies.
