Gave me easily the worst haircut of my life, I asked for a 1 to a 2 fade and to trim up the top just a tad. Cut my sideburns crooked, didn’t clean up my neck, and didn’t use a 1 guard. Not to mention took a ton off the top and moved my part line up my head. So now the hair in the middle is super long compared to the top sides.

High hope but let down. Got a cut by every employee but never what I asked for. Typical military high fade, fingertip lenght on top, longer in the front. Always had to go home and finish the fade myself and the lenght was always off. Seen other cuts look great. My style not so much.

This is the place to go for the $12 dollar haircut in SOUTH CAROLINA. THE WAIT TIME IS 8 TO 10 MINUTES. the senior lady in the barber shop cuts my hair and she is awesome and knows your head lines and where to cut. Check them out and make sure you know what day your Male or female barber is there. Best value for your money.

She practically dug my scalp from my head with the clipper guards. I was the only one in the shop and she was in a big hurry. Asked for a medium reg hair cut..and i ended up looking like a recruit from paris island.

Been coming here over 15 years, good military-style haircuts for $10. Weekends can be busy, best time to go is Monday through Thursday anywhere from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., youre in and out the door in less than 20 minutes. I love this place I will continue to come here until they close or I die, whichever comes first.

So in desperate need of my 21 month old to get a haircut during the COVID accommodations. I went to one place that would not allow me in the waiting room with him and he had to be able to sit in the waiting room chair by himself. I asked my neighborhood group for recommendations and so glad I did. Very nice, friendly, professional people and did an excellent job with my son. I had a certain person that I was waiting for but there were a few more people ahead of us. She even took the time to notice when my little one was getting fidgety and asked if I was ok if someone else cut his hair so we wouldnt have to continue waiting. It didnt matter who did it, I was just happy he was getting one. His haircut turned out great. This is going to be my new go to for all my boys.

After 10 years in the Navy and growing up in the hot south running and playing outside I just cant stand long hair. About every two weeks I am in this shop. I still remember when Mr. Williams working in the shop years ago before he passed and its nice to see all the different military duty station ball caps displayed that he collected. There is also memorials in there for the Charleston firefighters that died in that horrible furniture store fire quite a few years ago because one of them was also a barber. Mr. Williams granddaughter is cutting hair and running it now, but it is still on point. Many of us are known by name or at least face. We have are two or three barbers we like. The price raises every year or so as they assess economic attributes in group conversations Ive personally overheard where the employees inputs are valued. However, the price is kept extremely reasonable for anyone on a budget. You cant go wrong with a great hair cut, some style, straight razor shave around the ears and neck, and usually a quick hot towel massage. While most of the customer base tends to be men, especially military, Ive been seeing more and more women with short hair styles coming in. There are only three male barbers and usually only one or two working. This last visit there was a very sexy professional woman in a power suit with a knee length skirt. She had blonde hair styled short where it was tapered on the sides and back with clippers and that powerful woman style look on top. Im sure she was happy when she handed the young lady barber 40$ and told her to keep the change instead of paying 150$ or more at some salon. Thats the important thing about the price. I know I would have to pay 20$ or more anywhere else so I give the barber a 20$ bill because it is a service job and they live on tips.

About a third of the staff are well seasoned barbers that know what you want and can deliver. Find one and wait in them. The rest dont have clue what theyre doing with those clippers, they just buzz your head and send you on your way. Still the cheapest and quickest cut in goose creek, though!

I GENUINELY don’t know how this place has nearly 5 stars! this has been the absolute WORST haircut i have recieved in my life. i have even included a picture that i’ll use for reference on what they consider “quality”.maybe this is just one rouge barber who doesn’t know what their doing, but anyone with eyes can see that this isn’t acceptable.no Clippercide or any disinfectant used and a complete rush job. the haircut literally took 5 minutes which is extremely short for my hair.it’s a dirt cheap cut, but there still has to be some sort of quality control when people are paying you for a service

I’ve been coming here for about three years now and I’ve liked my experience. Some chairs are better than others so I’d highly recommend waiting for Craig. For $10 you can’t beat it and if you’re in a hurry, there’s plenty of chairs to get you in and out quick. All the stylists are usually friendly but also won’t talk your ear off if you want some quiet.

There are some decent barbers, but its luck of the draw and it seems they have high turnover. I have a simple haircut - #4 all over - and yet they still managed to do such a bad job that i literally had to redo it myself at home. The barber missed spots! I cant believe i paid money for such a hack job. And this isnt the first time this has happened. Look elsewhere.

Great place for a hair cut and they actually shave your neck with a razor as a real barber should. Plenty of chairs so they move pretty quickly. The only place I take my son for haircuts.

This is a great barber shop. Sometimes you have to wait, but its worth it, like waiting for a seat at a good restaurant. That being said, you probably will have to wait longer at other barber shops. The barbers are friendly and it appears that the owner or manager takes special care in hiring the right people. They have a lot of barbers working during the busiest hours, and they probably have about 8 or 10 chairs. To the best of my knowledge, this isnt intended to be a fancy stylist type of barber shop, but I have seen them do some fancy cuts, like trendy stuff for kids. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because sometimes they dont use their ticket machine, which can make it kinda difficult to determine who is next. I believe the reader of this review should give it a chance and then make up your own mind. I doubt youll be disappointed.9/06/19: I forgot to mention that they dont take cards, so make sure you bring cash.

I recently asked for a light trim and got a military grade haircut with a spot on the side of both temples the reminded me of Frankenstein. This is the same butcher that made a mess of my hair weeks ago.

I have been going to this barber shop since 1999 when I was a high school student. Actually, one of the victims of the Charleston 9 fire used to cut my hair here. They have always had excellent customer service and they always do a great job. Its cheap and awesome. Check it out!

Minimal wait time. Excellent hair cut. They use the vacuums on the clippers so that the hair doesnt get everywhere and you can go back to work with out hair all over. Great experience!!

This barber shop has been around a long time. The customer service is friendly and they are always lending an ear. The haircuts there are great and the prices are phenomenal.

Speedy service on most days. A traditional barber shop experience complete with a straight edge shave on the back of the neck and around the ears with a warm lather. Good prices at $9 a haircut. The only problems Ive ever had is when, on a very rare occasion, someone inexperienced with a straight edge razor gets a little aggressive and I end up with some razor burn.

These people do not know what a low fade is. I have given them many chances, I even thoroughly describe to them exactly what I want every time, and every time they do something different. The last time I was in there, they gave me the highest fade I have ever seen, almost a Mohawk even though I said low fade. They are about volume, not quality. If you want a quick, cheap, low quality hair cut, this is the place for you, but you wont see me in there anymore.

Ive been going there for years and have always gotten my moneys worth. It is affordable, clean, and friendly. Obviously, different barbers have different personalities and skill, so try them all and use the one you like best.

Not handicapped friendly. The staff could be more accommodating. My mother is on a wheelchair and one of the barber refused her cause she couldnt transfer to the barber chair, unbelievable!

Most of the hair stylist do a good job, but there is one or two of them that I would never use. If you are there and it is crowded, and you find that one lady has no customer because everyone is waiting you may also want to wait.

Williams Barber shop is what a barber shop should be. The atmosphere reminds me of the small barber shops my grandfather took me to as a child. The iconic barbershops cylindrical rotating peppermint sign, large fish tank, oversized Checkers board, country music, and Norman Rockwell prints on the wall give Williams an aire of nostalgia that takes you back to simpler time. Williams Barber Shop is a great place to go for a cheap and quick, but professional haircut. All of the barbers at Williams know what theyre about. Mens harcuts are only $10, and I dont know the exact price, but Im fairly certain that boys haircuts are somewhere between $6-$8. They offer straight-edge razor shaves, beard and moustache trims, and every haircut comes with a straight-edge razor neck shave; which feels great. Lastly, I would be remiss if I did not mention that Williams is very military friendly and has a large number of military ballcaps from naval vessels and Air Force squadrons on display, as well as a memorial to the Charleston 9 in tribute to the nine brave firemen who lost their lives while performing their duty, one of which was Williams himself. Fortunately, his legacy lives on, and continues to flourish while offering damn fine quality haircuts in a happy, friendly, and relaxing environment.

Stick to the men. Ive been coming here for years, and Ive been cut too many times by the women. They dont know how to handle a straight razor. Its not all of the women, but I have never once been cut by any of the fellas.My most recent haircut was the day before Thanksgiving. Ive got a three-inch gash behind my ear to show for it. No wonder she didnt want to show me the back of my head after she was done. I didnt notice until I got home and tried to wash my hair.

I was getting a haircut and it felt rushed for some reason. It was the quickest haircut ever...and then she cut my ear while shaving my neck . It hurt and I was bleeding bad. She tried to hide it so she applied a liquid band-aids? So Im ready to dip. We continued over to the counter and she said she wasnt going to charge me for the beard shave. I paid $10 and left. Maybe I just got the wrong hair stylist...

I cant believe I paid for this haircut. I generally like this place as it is priced for someone who needs a weekly cut, but it is quite evident that the farther away from the door you get the less quality you receive. My haircut I received today has me questioning the barbershop aspect of this place and will have some searching elsewhere, regardless of price. Pictured below is damn near a high and tight, not a high fade. And on top of that you can see how it is very uneven. Embarrassing for a barbershop that serves so many military customers.

Would have been a 5 with the exception that Im kind of pissed off that I am literally new to the area and did not know until after I sat down that they TAKE CASH ONLY. There were no signs anywhere stating this fact. Very irritating when the haircut is $9 and I have to pay a $3.00 fee in the barbershop to use their atm (so this must be a reoccuring problem, comes off as shady) and get charged a $2.50 ATM fee by my Bank of America. After I tipped, that was the cost of a second haircut. How about putting a sign on the door that states CASH ONLY so that new customers have an idea and can avoid pissing away our hard earned money? Debating whether it bothers me enough as to whether I will be back.
