I don’t really understand all the negative reviews. These are OLD townhome complexes. For how old they are, they’re in great shape. They remind me a lot of living on post. They have about the same quality as military housing if not better. And for the area they’re in, you really can’t beat the price. Especially when utilities, lawn care, and pest control are included! I moved here this year after living in a tiny run down POS house that I was paying nearly two times the price here. The AC needed Freon when I first moved in. It was fixed immediately and my apartment is always ice cold. The office staff has never been anything but polite and helpful to me. Yes there are a couple of pests here and there. But like I said, these are old houses and this is the lowcountry. That’s just going to happen sometimes. There are a few dings and dents in my apartment but it is all cosmetic. The only two things I don’t like is the size of the courtyard and there being no spicket to have a water hose. Other than that, I have really no complaints. I feel like I’m definitely getting a great deal.

Unfortunately the air system is old they never change the air filters asthmatic people like my son above does not cool well the rent very expensive for the service of the apartments they raise the rent every time you renew the contract

Moving process was easy and Ive definitely been treated better here than most places around the area. Big shout out to Catherine who works there. Everyone I met there was incredibly nice be she went above and beyond with tons of fallow up calls and emails making sure I was up to date on anything I needed to know. Overall a quiet neighborhood and no issues with the apartment so far.

I always had a positive experience with the office staff and maintenance. If something needed to be fixed they were there the same day. I felt Cindy the office manager would go out of her way to help me if any problems arose and I greatly appreciate that. Id recommend living here.

The office help is the about useless. You have to call multiple times if you have a maintenance issue before they even send someone out to you. Then the maintenance guys are about as dumb as a box a rocks. I always ensure that my boyfriend is home if maintenance needs to come out. Especially if they send the real big guy. Hes been known to make very crude remarks about the women that live in the complex.They started repainting doors on the front unit about 5 months ago and havent even finished that yet.They started pressure washing units but skip certain buildings for some reason.Parking is not even up for discussion. Hope you get home before 6pm so you will not have to park on the other side of the complex away from your unit.Dumpsters sitting in the middle of parking spots throughout complex. Disgusting trash overflowing daily. If any trash is on the ground after trash pickup, do not expect office/maintenance to clean it up. Probably why certain parts of the parking lot flood because of all the trash that gets washed into drainage hole.Drug deals in plain daylight and plain sight. No one has no care in the world. And there are multiple Goose Creek & Berkeley County Sheriffs that live in this complex.

I was an exemplary tenant. Money always on time, never missed a payment. They received their 30 day notice. Scheduled my clearance. Got my deposit back by mail a month after and then out of nowhere they sent me to collections for $74 for some utility I owed. How do you return money without making sure nothing was outstanding and then to send it to collections? And lets not even talk about maintenance and the fact that there is never anyone in the office for help. Horrible place to rent. GO ELSEWHERE!

I moved into the townhomes in April 2016 with my partner and sister right before the management change. When we moved in, I had two maintenance requests. One was a broken disposal and the other was rotted wood regarding the cabinetry. The wood got fixed very quickly. It is now December and the disposal is still broken. Now we have issues with roof broken in the back from the hurricane in October. The piece is rotted with nails and hangs over the back door so a lawsuit waiting to happen if it hits someone. Ive had advised them several times of this and keep getting told maintenance will fix it. Im assuming at this point there is not maintenance. I also have toilet leaking, a fan in the bathroom broken, a window broken since weve moved in, and now the hot water heater keeps switching off. I have been ignored and told again and again that maintenance will fix the issues but then when I check on them, Im told I dont have a work order in. I will never recommend this place to anyone since they are so beyond incompetent at this point.

Very pleased owner came to my home and addressed every issue. Lets just say my ac is running great now everything currently getting fixed and i am now comfortable and satisfied. Deffinatley a respectful woman and handles her business!! GO VVT GO 😁

Never came and fixed ANYTHING inside of the townhomes. Never answer the phones when you need them. They were remodeling the doors.. they changed my whole front door and lock. Left tools inside of my place, screws on the floors, and because I wasnt home they just left my key in knob OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR WHERE EVERYONE COULD SEE. I broke the least in under 2 months of staying there, paid everything that I needed to pay and somehow they still reported me to the credit bureaus for failure to pay ALTHOUGH THEYVE ALREADY GOTTEN MY MONEY. My credit score went down 71 points due to this place. If youre looking for something worth your while and money I advice you to go to another place, but DEFINITELY not this one.

This place is awful! Weve been here going on two years now and it always one thing after the other. They have changed management 5-6 times in the time weve been here. Their maintenance is a joke! They never fix anything in a timely matter, and always end up screwing things up more than they fix! Just recently we had our tub leak, they fixed it by putting down a sticky mat.. It clearly says in your lease agreement not to do this. Also, they werent even concerned with the water damage in the ceiling. Their way of repairing it was just to paint over the yellow color.. While painting over the yellow color it got paint all over my stuff! The only thing they put a tarp over was the love seat so everything else around it got covered in paint. Parking in this place is ridiculous. Youve always got jerks parking right in front of your door that dont live here so you have to park next to the trash cans. Neighbors are the worst!! The walls are super thin so if they decide to stand out back and talk all night your not getting any sleep. The loud music and community is just awful! DO NOT move into this place!!! It SUCKS! Cant wait to finalize on the house so we can move OUT!

They are the best I had a situation where my 5 year old son was let go from the bus by his self and ms cindy the manager saw him took him with her and call me I was worried going crazy and she calmed me down and held my baby til I got home when ever anything was broken in my house it got fixed right away they are like family they are the best and very nice Im from NYC people dont treat you as great,nice,and welcoming as they was to me I love them

Used to live here but got refused on our rent renewal due to new management changing the pet policy. This place USED to allow dogs of all size but with the new company coming in they changed it to 35lbs or lower. Youd think that since we had lived there for 3 years we would be grandfathered in but nope, they gave us 50 days to move out. Thats issue number one.Number 2: The lady in the office is almost unreachable. You will have to call her about 10 times before getting her. The one thing that ticked me off was that I went to the office and there was a sign that said would return at 2pm. It was 2:05pm and I heard talking in the office and could see someone in there. I waited outside in case it was a tenant, 10 minutes later I decided to knock on the door. Right when I knocked on the door they went silent. Knocked again and nothing, they must have been acting like no one was in there. Mind you this is now 15 minutes after the time she was suppose to be open again. I eventually left fully frustrated and did not have my issue resolved.Number 3: With this new management and manager, started the notes on doors demanding money by an unreasonable amount of time. And when you try to talk to someone about it, guess what... YOU CANT. Because the lady in there is never reachable. My wife was finally able to talk to the lady and after telling the lady no to certain things my wife finally paid one of the things listed. Which mind you I already paid for during the month in question. ANOTHER note on all doors was about having to have all your blinds not be broken (or be charged a bloated fee to replace the broken ones) which is understandable BUT it needed to be done the very next day... How is someone who works all day and gets home late to this note expected to have all the blinds fixed the very next day. My wife and I made it to Lowes just before they closed to buy ONE set of blinds because we did not want to pay $35 for blinds.There were other issues but I cannot recall them at this time.DO NOT RENT FROM VTT!

**The name has recently changed from Brentwood Townhomes to the current Patriots Place Townhomes; however, in my opinion, this place is still the same rat hole it was prior to the name change. Unfortunately, changing the name does not change the makeup of this place--BEWARE!!*There needs to be an opportunity to enter a negative rating on this place. My daughter and her family rented from these folks for 1 1/2 years and ALWAYS paid their rent and water on time. They have battled rodents and other creatures. Their A/C was out of order since the first month they moved in and maintenance never fixed it. Multiple calls were made to management to report the problem. They had an obvious leak in the kitchen whereas maintenance decided it was the dishwasher. The dishwasher had never been used by them from the first day they rented. The dishwasher was disconnected but never replaced. They also paid their water bill via the service used by Brentwood and still the management of Brentwood informed my daughter and her fiance that they were outstanding for a water bill. They even included a fee for water on their final bill. My daughter and her fiance gave more than ample notice that they were moving and expected to get a full refund of their deposit. A letter was sent to them with a list of charges for cleaning. I have never seen such inflamed and ambiguous charges in my life. My daughters fiance is a neat freak and was sure to have that apartment cleaned when they left. Of course, anyone can trump up fees as did Brentwood to them to ensure not only that they did not get their deposit back but also that they owed them and additional $352.00. This is nothing more than legal stealing! Charges ranged from $45.00 to clean a bathroom sink to $75.00 to clean a stove and even $65.00 to clean a bathtub. All of these items had been previously cleaned by my daughter and her fiance prior to their departure. Aside from the obviously poor management, lies and theft from management to residents, this neighborhood is as ghetto as you can get. Residents had to witness drug deals outside of their apartments, gunshots at all hours of the night and police presence in the complex on a daily basis due to illegal activity. I would not suggest that my worst enemy reside in this place. The reviews dont lie. Dont waste your time or money on these people. You are sure to be disappointed.

Last month the front office give me a eviction notice saying I hadnt paid rent, when I went to talk to them they said I was fine and that the money order just wouldnt scan...I asked multiple times if I owed any money and they said I was up to date. This month I get a letter saying I owe almost $200 in late charges for water, when I called they told me that I owed late charges since June when they changed the rent to add the water, which I was never told about and I never got a water bill in the mail or any other kind of notice. I got the letter one day before they wanted the money and the only excuse the manager had about employees telling me I was up to date and if there was anything they can do was that she wasnt there those months so she doesnt know. Now I cant find a corporate number. I am not paying almost $200 for something that was their fault!! This place has REALLY gone downhill since they got new management. I was also asked to get new blinds and was given 2 days to do it. Maintenance has never came to do anything I asked and they dug a huge hole in my front lawn area, putting mud and dirt on my walkway, that was a month ago and they still havent come to clean it, when I told management she didnt even know about it!!! Moving out as soon as my lease is up.EDIT: I have now been without air conditioning for FOUR DAYS!!! NO ONE SEEMS TO GIVE A DAMN ABOUT IT. I called and called, have left two voicemails just today and have heard nothing back. My dog is sick because of the heat in the apartment and I am as well. The maintenance team doesnt seem to know what to do and they dont show up until the end of the day when the problem cant be fixed anymore because they need a part. One guy tried to tell me how busy they were all day when they came to look at it yesterday at 5pm, when I was leaving my house (arouns 12) both maintenance men were picking up trash from the parking lot, and while that might be important, Im pretty sure me living in 83 degree heat is more of a priority. Im extremely tired of the lack of caring about the residents in this complex. 10/10 would NOT recommend, unless you want to go a week without whatever issue comes up being fixed....or it completely ignored, which is how my ac broke in the first place.

I have complained to the apartment manager several times and nothing has been done about it. There’s several leaks in the apartment, the bathtub gets clogged, and many of the lights don’t work. I’ve been leaving here for two months and I’m already done

This place is in shambles. The townhome alone needs thousands of dollars worth of renovations...the complex itself MORE. The walls are made out of some kind of wooden panel...theyre very thin. You are in charge of mowing your own tiny patch of grass. Where youre supposed to store a mower inside of your townhome, I do not know. Which means everyones grass is sky high. We put in a maintenance order for a broken washer (CAME THAT WAY) over a month ago (WHEN WE MOVED IN) today has been a fight to get someone to fix it. I have tried to get this fixed since 7:45 am, when I left an emergency maintenance work order message because it began leaking! It is now the evening and I have been told someone was coming twice now. The air conditioning only works on the first floor. We were told thats simply just how it is and that everyone else usually buys a unit for upstairs. The parking lot needs to be cleaned and entirely repainted. This place needs more than just serious renovations. This company should seriously consider new staff as well. If I could rate this less than one star I would. Do not live here if you have the option to live elsewhere.

I have called several times a day for at LeaT a week now. My a.c. Stopped working. Its so bad in my apartment that my carpets and walls are completely saturated from the Condensation. Ive been told three separate times that a work order will be put in and a maintenance personal will come fix the problem. For two days Ive been told that and neither days has anyone come. This place is a joke! & Unorganized ! The old maintenance person was better. Please fix problems and so better or this Place will end up in the ground.

Rent goes up and up, quality of living goes down and down. There is constantly garbage overflowing from the dumpsters and alway large items sitting besode the dimpster. It usually takes the office about a month to get anything cleaned up, then ita back within a day or so. A never ending cycle. There was a dumpster fire right outside of my appartment due to the couch and matteress that sat ther for 2 months. All in all this place isnt worth what they are charging, maybe worth 500 a month minimum.

I currently am a tenate in Brentwood, and I honestly dont like living here anymore. My AC has been broken for that last 5 days. Ive been calling the office, and they keep telling me that they put in a work order. Just a heads up I have renters rights, and I dont have to pay my rent if my house isnt habitable for more than 3 days of notifying my landlord... And they are scheming everyone that lives in here for money! They told me that I couldnt pay my rent this past month because I was 2 months behind on my water.. I paid Minol every month, and for August I had to pay Brentwood, and I did... This place is a joke.

I am a current tenant, but not for too long. I too have a unresolved maintenance problem for three weeks now. Two holes in my ceiling from leaking pipe. I call every other day to the office and all she says is Im on the list. No return phone call from vtt management. I also pay my rent on time but this is unprofessional and unsafe.

DO NOT COME HERE. This is my ZERO STAR RATING. This place is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to maintenance and their so-called customer service! Nothing has gotten better since VTT took over. Weve had our AC break 3 times, and theyve fixed it 2 times. We had to go stay in a dog friendly hotel because it was 96 degrees in our bedroom, and maintenance said they could not fix it the same day (they called us 5 hours AFTER we reported this problem to tell us they couldnt do anything). Then, I had to fight with them to reimburse us for the hotel because it is required under law that they pay when the apartment is not habitable. Their utilities website Minol doesnt work half the time, they shut off the the water main WITHOUT telling anybody they were going to do so, and they DID NOT tell me that I needed to call Berkeley Electric to make an account which led to our electricity being turned off! This has been a nightmare since day one. Worst customer service. Find a better place to go that here. Youll be happier somewhere else!

I dont live `here yet but i already dont like it. Management is unprofessional!! every time i go there either their close or they gonna send me back home cause of my document is incomplete or what not. the manager is reallly realllyyy rude and unprofessional. every time i got there she always give me attitude every freaking day her action around me is unprofessional. she never tell the requirement at the beginning when the first day tried to rent a apartment. And just yesterday waiting for her again to arrive in the office. when she arrive she just throw stuff in the table even i was there. after i submit my fax stock she just said im gonna call you tom and i never receive any calls from her. so i went there to the office today and theirs a different tenant. whoever own this townhome fix your employee. teach them how to be nice and MORE professional in work place. I talk to them nicely and they gonna treat me not equal way. Zero star.

I have lived here almost a year, and the first 7 months were fine, weve had things break but they were fixed in a timely manner so I never worried about it. The first problem we had, whenever VTT Managment took over we recieved a note on our door on a Monday saying we owed 97.00 dollars for water that we needed to pay it by 12pm the FOLLOWING day, or we could be evicted. I took the note to the lady in the front office and she told me that she had actually made the note the previous Friday but didnt have TIME to put it on my door. The next thing that happened was our AC Broke for 5 WEEKS, from beginning of September to the middle of October. When the AC first went out it was 95 degrees outside. By the end of the 4th week I went up there every day and the excuse was well its hardly over 83 so its not a rush. The lady at the front desk is so rude and incompititent. She was condensending and honestly could care less that we didnt have AC. The part had been in for a week yet they had no one to replace it between all there complexes. She promised that day to have it fixed on the following Monday. I called that Monday and she gladly told me that someone had an AC emergency!!! Wouldnt you think this was more important 24 hours compared to 5 WEEKS?! Not to mention the rat problem!!! I would love for someone above her to contact me. I tried to call VTT Managment multiple times. DO NOT RENT HERE!

Ive posted photos of the damage that happened after maintenance ignored a leak I reported month earlier. I walked in to find water pouring out of my ceiling from the leak upstairs. There was approximately 3 inches of standing water in the downstairs. The apartment complex did not give me or my pets a hotel for the night and actually stated that the apartment was ok to stay in even though the ceiling was actively still falling down, debris everywhere and a maintenance worker was electricuted because of the electrical work that had been compromised. These are not safe living conditions.

I am currently a tennate, me and my boyfriend have been bit by (what the hosp. Said the first time) brown recluse spiders 4 times it has required hosp. Visits minor surgery and a wound care specialist! We also have what I beleieve to had seen was moth worms and roaches! They have sprayed every time and we also tried spraying, this place is just horrible nothing is working! after this last bite we asked just to let us out of our lease bc this is causing us hospital bills, pain and lost time at work and we dont want to be there anymore bc of it. We were told we couldnt just break the lease. Sooooo I sent out a formal legal letter via email and cert. Mail stating they have 14 days to find a diff. Solution or the lease is term. Due to safety and health issues! I mean people lose limbs from these things! We do not feel safe in here and when we leave we will have to get rid of our furniture and everything bc who knows what those bugs have gotten into.! So plz just be mindful of this sit. If you plan on moving here..... Also was charged $200 for 2 months of water and was told I had a credit due to it, new management took over said I owed that so called credited water and that month and so I paid $64! Said they would talk to higher ups and everytime I go in there I mention it and there some reason it hasnt been fixed. So as of right now bc we are to afraid of being bit we are paying rent and sleeping on his moms floor, living out of a suitcase! This is no way to treat people or a tenate who has never been a problem. So over it!!!

2 nights ago we came home and the ceiling had collapsed. Water was pouring from the ceiling. Upstairs and downstairs flooded, and our things drenched and covered in ceiling matter. This happened at 5 pm. Our only option is to call the emergency maintenance a once 5 pm hits. We were not allowed to speak to the manger. We were not allowed to have her number. We were not offered a place to sleep, just a space to store stuff and try to salvage it and I had to demand that. We spent the night rushing to get our things out. To make us feel worse, one of the men who showed up to fix the issue LAUGHED when he saw the living room. We have a small child, who was standing there looking at her home destroyed and confused as to where she was sleeping for the night. I dont see the humor in that at all, none of us did. If you go through reviews, this is a common issue and the maintenance men told us the same thing happened not too long ago. I was told I would speak to a manager the next morning and when I arrived at 8 am to speak with her, I found out it was her DAY OFF. We never even got a phone call for an apology for their negligence/non repair and for our things being damaged and being left homeless for the night in a townhome we pay rent for. How shameful considering it wasnt our fault. Getting a unit to sleep in the next day was like pulling teeth. I was told by someone they would have us in our original (still) flooded unit that day. They honestly thought they could dry everything, patch up the ceiling and have a child live in there within 24 hours. I refused to put us at risk of getting sick if their solution was to slap a band aid on this issue and live in a flooded apartment. When I finally managed to speak to the property manager on the phone, she was mocking me. She made it clear to me it was her day off and she actually laughed at the fact that she needed to speak with me about this. She sounded and made it clear how the phone call was inconvenient because she was not on the clock. She did not feel bad about leaving a family with a child, her tenants, homeless for the night. I am in shock by the standards of quality here. I am in shock by the negligence the managers have for their tenants here. I am in shock how they have treated us the last 48 hours. I asked for a fan to dry our things, was told Id get one-never got one. I asked for quarters to wash the babies clothes and our clothes- never got them. I asked for any managers number to rectify the situation-managed to get a cruel phone call. I asked if someone had a truck or for help to move or beds and couch into a unit while we stay there-didnt get any. This happened to us, and Brentwood townhomes and vtt management have yet to apologize and offer the least they could do- help! We suffered from their problem. I reached out to the regional manager after she asked me to do so. I also reached out to VTTs management COO. I have yet to hear back from her over this serious matter. Do not live in Brentwood Townhomes.

Used to like it here but it sucks now. I pay in advance and they keep telling me I owe money. We go through this every month. I keep records people. The first thing they ask me is if I pay with a money order. Shady. My apartment has been flooded twice the ceiling has never been fixed as was promised or the carpets cleaned as was also promised. This place is awful.

I am just trying to figure out how to pay my rent online I got cut off when the new ownership took over and I have called yesterday and today and left messages and still have not received a call back and its just like when I had to have my AC fixed it took over a week to get fixed and I had to stay out of my home for a week because I was promised every day it would be fixed and wasted gas to go back and forth and it wasnt I usually dont do this but its starting to get annoying so please get in touch with me to let me know how to pay my rent online again or if I need to get a money order until you get it fixed a simple phone call and return would have avoided this review
