I’ve had three audiologists here in Nashville, and this group of staff is by far the best! They’re always warm and welcoming, super helpful, and they were more than willing to work with my insurance and my finances to get me fitted with the perfect hearing aid for me! They helped me understand everything about the programming and settings on my hearing aid. I’m sure I will be happy with this hearing aid for years to come, and I know where to go when I’m ready to upgrade!
From my first visit the front office warmly greeted me and made me feel welcomed. Dr. Jewell followed that with a great combination of professionalism, expertise, and care. After she clearly explain the results of my hearing tests she offered various price points as options that would work for me. I’ve been nothing but pleased with a new-found hearing ability which has improved my quality of life. Her follow-up care has been superb. She and staff are available to help with any concern. A five star review is so easy to write for my personal experience.
The person who answers the phone and answers questions about billing, probably shouldnt!Unless you like being talked to in a degrading manner and loud then you will receive 5 star treatment! All I called for today was to confirm my insurance was used at their office and the cost of my test. I also called my insurance as directed by that person on the phone to ended up having my insurance call her. Except she told my insurance to call back later. My insurance advised me they will not call back later and told me to try again calling back to get the information I am requesting. So, I called to try to obtain the information again and to let her know my insurance said they will not be calling back to only have the same person on phone cut me off, start speaking over me and beat around the bush calling me a liar about my insurance calling her. Then at approx 3pm my husbands phone rings (this one time we were together because we usually work opposite shifts) he has me answer the call for it to be the same person who answered the phone this morning calling...as I tried to explain that was not my phone number to only have her again talk over me to tell me whatever that this the number they received from the referring Dr and to only continue speaking degrading, to say she didnt know why my insurance didnt call her back ( even though my previous phone call I told her they wouldnt be calling), and to provide me codes to give my insurance. After this person talking to me this way every time we spoke I gave the phone to my husband to let him get the information. Except she refused to give the info requested information he requested because she already told me. Due to her obnoxious behavior on the phone for just a simple questions of does your office take my insurance and what would my cost be...I would rather lose my hearing/ability to drive then have to deal with that type of treatment. Unfortunately, I heard this Dr was good, but I will never get to experience this because I refuse to have any of my money go to the person who answers the phone salary.
Dr. Jewell and the staff are amazing. My mother, sister and aunt, and my elderly friend are all patients here. We have been coming here for years and cannot imagine going to any other physician. She is patient, kind, understanding, listens to your needs, and Dr. Jewell and her staff go above and beyond every time. I am a registered nurse, and I highly recommend Dr. Jewell and her staff for your hearing needs.
I would highly recommend Dr. Jewell’s office! It is clean and a very comfortable office. She is so caring, knowledgeable and through. She takes her time with you and really listens to you! Also, the staff is very friendly and attentive. They fill you in on everything you need to know before your appointment. I honestly did not find a thing that I was disappointed with and will go back again.
I can report that I am very happy with my consultation experience with the Hearing Instrument Specialist John S. Strehlau.John is very knowledgeable, thorough and caring. He has worked with me and my hearing aids twice until the problems were fully resolved, no matter how much time it took. Explaining everything that he was doing, step by step, he made sure that I understood the complex issues involved. As a result, I am able to follow his instructions when I am on my own, even though I am a Senior. When I am on my own, it is comforting to know that I can reach John by phone and email to get answers to my questions.I have also found everyone else who works at this Practice very helpful, both in person and on the telephone. My questions were always answered courteously and I never felt rushed.Thank you John and Staff!
My visits are necessitated by a problem Im experiencing so the times vary. I love the staff. Why? When I call Lisa is so professional and when I see Dr. Jewel she Is not only thorough but she is also caring. My last visit was as great as my first approximately 5 years ago. I appreciate how Im not rushed and receive explanations for all my treatment in laymans terms. My only complaint is I only see them when Im having problems.
Ive been under the care of the kind and professional staff at Audiology and Hearing Health for over 6 years and have received excellent testing and care in fitting my hearing aids! It was obvious from day one that I was in the right place for the best hearing health! With my chronic tinnitus they suggested right off a therapy of hearing health vitamins to see if that would help me while I was fitted and got my first hearing aids! The vitamins did not change things for me but the aids were great! From my initial appointment forward Jewell, John, Lisa and staff support have been nothing short of fabulous! Such compassion, patience and attention to details that has confirmed to me that these are the professionals I want treating ALL of my hearing health needs! Thank you staff for all you do! Blessings!
Dr. Baggett clearly is a competent profession Doctor of Audiology. As such, she creates an atmosphere of trust. I’ve suffered some significant hearing loss, and I’m thankful to have discovered her practice.
I will start of by saying I received a call the day before as a reminder. The lady on the other side of the phone was friendly and gave great directions to their office. Once my wife and I arrived, the office was very clean and professionally decorated. Dr. Jewell Baggett-Srrenlau came out and greeted us. One thing that I noticed and liked, was as a new patient, there were minimum paperwork to fill out. Dr. Jewell took my wife and me back to exam my ears. Jewell took her time and explained every detail that was taking place during the examination and she had a wonderful and knowledgeable intern working with her. After the examination was completed, i went and took an in-depth hearing test. After the test, Dr. Jewell called my wife back and gave a very in-depth diagnose of my condition. Dr. Jewell spoke in layman’s terms so it was easy to understand. I had a pleasant experience and would recommend Dr. Jewell to anyone that needs a hearing test.
My husband suffers from periodic vertigo. After being sent here by our ENT for further testing, the Dr. here not only figured out what the issue was, she completely resolved the vertigo after only two visits. This had been going on for several months prior to us finding Dr. Jewel, and was life altering. Having it resolved was a true blessing. Now we know, when it does happen, we can get it resolved quickly and with a minimum of effort and expense. THANK YOU!!!
These are great folks; Id recommend them to everyone!!!
Been working with them for my Mom for over 10 years. Never had a complaint, theyve been wonderful.
We always get great service. great people to work with! Dr Jewell is always there when you need her.
Knowledgeable, caring, professionals, who strive to help the patient through the process with all the information they need.
I have been significantly hearing impaired since I was a small child and have had my needs addressed by Jewell, John, and Lisa since pretty much day one. They have treated me with respect and dignity that one might usually reserve for a family member. Hearing loss and the process of coping with it is an emotionally draining and exhausting process, but Audiology and Hearing Health helped me adapt with grace and poise. Theyre always willing to see me in relatively short notice and willing to work with us on the financial side when things are tight. I can rest assured knowing I will be well taken care of with Audiology and Hearing Health as my lifelong provider of hearing care. Thanks in part to the support offered by them, my hearing impairment has not held me back at all. I am now a college graduate and am preparing to enter the mental health field. THANK YOU, Jewell Baggett-Strehlau, John Strehlau, and Lisa Pegram!
I cannot begin to state how much of a horrible experience i have had. First, contacted this provider for an annual hearing examination in June 2016. At the time, I was told that they were in network and it was suggested by a male receptionist that i also contact my Health Insurance to ensure that my annual examination is covered under preventative care. My Health Insurance confirmed 100 percent coverage but was diligent to instruct me to clearly stress that I was only there for an annual hearing test. Over and over again i stressed to this facility that I was there for an annual test. Even at the time being taken back to complete my annual hearing test I stressed to the audiologist and explained that my health insurance says to ensure that they only do a hearing test. To shortened story, I was billed for additional expenses and diagnostic test. When i enquired about this bill ($41.00). Lisa stated that If i conferenced my insurance company then they will be able to resolve issue or may even rebill the amount. When i did that, Lisa refused to waived the amount and politely told my health insurance that the services were billed correctly and that they would not rebill. I struggled to resolved $41.00. Lies, lies and more lies followed that and i was given the run around because the Dr. was out of town. My health insurance was informed by Lisa while I was on the phone that the audiology provider would NOT rebill the amounts. I got upset and I explained that there are services rendered that I had NOT requested. I explained that would not be paying for something that was not requested and that I would be writing to the Medical Board & BBB to inform them of this facilitys action. Lisa was very argumentative over the ($41.00) and says that she would discuss with audiologist otherwise she would not write off the amount as she felt since these services were rendered then i should pay. I express to Lisa that as a client if i request a service that should be ONLY service rendered unless I am informed of additional test is required and approval based on findings. Furthermore, my test was normal with no issues noted and as I am not specialized in that skill, I was relying on the office and the audiologist to complete only my request and no additional test without my consent. Needless to say, health insurance contacted me and explained that the provider finally agreed to resolve the amount $41.00. However, Lisa did not contact me as discussed to tell me that the matter had been resolved. So, I contacted the provider and of course, Lisa once again became argumentative and felt it necessary to tell me that the amount was Not resolved, that she agreed to write off the amount ($41.00) with the Health Insurance, but its not resolved with me. (dont ask me what that meant). However, she felt the need to explain that the bill would not be sent to a collection agency or affect my credit. So, politely i asked her to send me the write off $41.00 that was made wit the health insurance company. Lisa then told me she WILL NOT because the COMPANY HAS ALREADY LOST MONEY and they were not willing to spend any more money in honoring my request. I immediately requested to speak to the office manager ...Lisa informed me that she was the office manager. I requested to speak with the manger for the facility, she then offered to let me speak to the Dr. Placed me on hold but then but came back immediately and to inform me that I have two choices either I have to drive 20 min to pick up the document I need or that she will email to me tomorrow. With my experience, use your judgment. My opinion is this facility was not trustworthy and handled my situation very very poorly. The manager did not seem honest and did not seem to be interested resolving a $41.00 matter. I would not recommend this facility under no circumstance whatsoever.
Good doctor
Nice staff
