This store is box store on lower scale...just like a regular supermarket but with better prices...produce is awesome ...meat prices are great too...check it out ..you wont be disappointed

Good store nice employees. Only reason for 4 stars is because they need to have more check stands open.

The smart and final here is pretty decent if not a little on the smaller side of them. The selection is decent and the liquor is pretty good amount to choose from for a quick shop. The staff seemed pretty friendly and over all not all to much to complain about.

I shop here regularly.As noted before good selection, good prices.One exception, one employee threw almost most (if not all) of my purchases at the end of the checkout. I complained at the time. Then I had to check my purchases for damage, including the baked chicken (which was already falling apart) and the eggs. She did not seem concerned with what she had done.I usually check to see if she on the checkouts when I enter, if she is there, I do not shop there.8/30/2021I have not seen the lady who threw my purchases for a while, now all of the checkers now they are all pleasant.

Best time to shop is when the store opens. You have the store to yourself and no waiting at the isle for a checker.Wish I caught their names this morning. I was done around 7am-ish. He helped with my groceries plus grabbed 4 cases of water for me.Kind, fast service. Thanks

One gallon white vinegar $1.99 if you buy two or more. The two staff members were very helpful. It was $16.99 for 150 large eggs. The store was spic and span.

Smart & Final is a pretty good place to shop. They have good selections, its a very Friendly store only downfall is it is always very busy and sometimes they are out of what I need.

Love Smart & Final! Wish it was still the way it was before as a restaurant supply store with the larger quantities and more selection, but oh well, I still like it.

I worked here thania is a terrible person she is rude harassing while your just trying to do your job. Do not work here or shop here it’s a terrible place with terrible management. I have tried to reach out to the HR and they just Shushed me and told me they would take care of it. Yet nothing has been done about it. Five other employees have had to up and quit because of her including myself. I had to move because the only other job that was hiring during covid was an hour away.

Good grocery store, generally feels like good value with a decent range of products. Great for bulk buys. Store is clean and staff are always friendly and helpful. Only criticism is that the checkout queues can get pretty long/slow sometimes; they run as few open checkouts as they can get away with. But I guess thats part of why its quite cheap!

I frequent this store regularly as this Smart & Final is very clean, well stocked and beautiful. The customer service, however, needs improvement. Today I was assisted by Tuan who was more interested in eating nuts at the register (I am highly allergic) than assisting me. I felt like a complete inconvenience to him, no smile or greeting at all. I bagged all my food myself even after he finished completing my payment, pushed the rest of my food aside to start ringing in the next guest. He threw my receipt next to my items that still needed to bagged and moved on to the next guest leaving me to struggle and hurried to get my food bagged and in to the cart. I never write reviews but have not dealt with such blatant rudeness and lack of caring.

Only problem is that lines are long at the cashiers.

Wont be going back. No cleaning of carts, checkout areas, anything else. They wouldnt touch my bags but did not clean anything. No good!

For a Smart & Final, this is a pretty good one. It is always clean and the produce is generally fresh. They could improve their restocking processes; when theyre out of stock of something that I want, seems like it takes forever before they finally get it back in. Their prices are very competitive so if Im in the neighborhood, I never hesitate to stop here to look for something that I need.

I used to do my shopping at a different store but my bf insisted I came to Smart & Final since its closer & Let me tell you I absolutely love it!! Everything is so organized and clean. The cashiers have always been nice and friendly to me and my son. Its the only store I like now :)

A good choice for grocery aisle items and dry goods, especially if youre buying in bulk, but I wouldnt trust anything else here. The produce is questionable at best and hard to find quality items. The meat is cheaper, but for a reason. The beef I bought here was tough and fatty compared to similar cuts at nearby grocers. The dairy items Ive bought here, mostly their own brand First Street sour faster than ones I get at other grocers as well.

Smart and Final has a great selection and fantastic sales, especially on Pork and Vegatables! Shrimp! As big as my thumb for 5.50 a pound!Friendly staff and super helpful, small grocery store feel with big savings on food you actually eat. My first time shopping here and I will be back.Rain checks!!!

Phyllis did not do a good job. She allowed someone to cut in front of me who had already left the store in order to correct the mistake she had made. Then after Id already been waiting several minutes for her to correct her mistake she spent another three minutes putting cash away which had been left on the back of her counter. In my opinion this person should not be in a customer-facing role

I asked for help out to my car, Assistant Manager asked: Do you really need help? How did you get this (my groceries) up here? Called to complain, person on the phone was really dismissive as well. Awful people all around.

Used to have significantly better service than Albertsons. But recently it has gotten much worse. My last trip saw over 30 people waiting in line with only two lanes open for the whole time I was in the store

Used to enjoy shopping here because it was cheaper than Albertsons, but now its constantly under-stocked, under-staffed, and I was told during my last visit that they wont accept bringing your own mesh bags for the bulk items/vegetables (as opposed to their plastic bags), because their registers dont have the ability to subtract the weight of your bag from the overall weight. I told the cashier that that was fine; I was fine with being charged for the extra .5 ounces my personal bag weighed, no big deal. She said that management can see them on the camera and that its considered overcharging, so the cashier will get in trouble if they let someone use a personal bag and asked me to use their plastic bags next time. Absolutely ridiculous. As long as the cashier makes the disclaimer, I should be allowed to give approval to charge me the extra 10 cents in exchange for using my own bag. Not everyone cares about whether they use plastic or not, but theres a growing trend of people who do, and S&F is going to sink if they dont update their policies/technology soon. Will be shopping at Sprouts from now on. Theyre always stocked, always have plenty of staff, and actively encourage non-plastic alternatives.

Poor customer service. Every time I go there I’m standing in long slow check out lines. Usuallily there are only 2 checkers with multiple people waiting. The lines of carts block shoppers from getting by to shop. The checkers are obviously unhappy and work at a moderate pace. Clearly management does not care that customers are waiting even though there are 6 check out lines available.

Its a big store everthing you need cook chicken good sales thats what i like sale

Great grocery store in Goleta. I recommend going over the the Albertsons by Costco. This place is always clean and the staff are friendly. The prices here are very good as well and they have a nice produce section. They also carry bulk items you fill and weigh yourself which you cant always find elsewhere.The only thing I find lacking is there is no dedicated bakery section. They have your basics like bread, etc but nothing like other grocery stores.

Usually a great alternative to the local high priced groceries in this college town. This trip the store was wiped out of everything due to students returning from Winter vacation.

We do most of our groceries from here, staff is very friendly and things are easy to find. Only issue is during busy hours, we try going after 9pm for no traffic at checkout!

Line is always backed up and no more than 2 lines open. Ive been in twice and left each time because of wait times. Seems like a great place to shop but either understaffed or poorly managed.

Clean, good prices, usually not crowded. prices are about 20-30% lower than albertsons. only problem is lines move slowly, and theres no self-checkout. takes at least twice as long as albertsons, but the savings are worth it.

An ok store. At least it doesnt smell like raw sewage like the 5 points store. Shelves a little bare in places but generally ok. Their bait and switch advertising on meat is often annoying, i.e. must buy 60lbs to get advertised price

They need to have more cashiers working, not nice to wait so long to pay.
