This property is beautiful. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. The animals are well provided for. Went for my sisters birthday and had a variety of comfort and skill levels and Jimmy made us all feel safe and took tons of amazing photos of us. We had a blast! No waterfall this time of year but still beautiful.

This is a great horse riding ranch! Great trails and views. They also have accomodations.

Amazing place! Beautiful scenery, beautiful healthy horses who love their job. A bit nervous at first but then it was wonderful. Trails are great, many views from waterfalls to deer with so much in between. Really knowledgeable guides, loved Kara. It was a good time. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away for a bit. Not crowded when we went and if you are concerned about covid, they have private tours. The horses dont get too close together so the social distancing is there plus beautiful outdoors, cant get any better than that. Drove about 2 hours from LA and it was 100% worth it. Thank you to Kara, and the horses Elvis and Smokey for the amazing time and I will do it again sometime.

Well worth the drive. Very caring and knowledgeable staff. Absolutely beautiful and well taken care of horses. Our ride was at 11:30 and we didn’t go on until after 12 but it didn’t matter. You get to scale up the mountain & see so many beautiful views. Easy going ride for beginners. Pretty dusty so the mask came in handy. Also very light jacket and hat- you actually burn calories riding! I wouldn’t over dress but go for comfort. No bags or such allowed and cash only. It’s not a really tour-y feeling, there were light conversations but overall relaxing.

Grace was a wonderful trail host! The horses are very well behaved and the ride has beautiful views.

Horseback Riding with the guides from Circle Bar B was one of the highlights of my excursions from Santa Barbara. Our trail led to some amazing views of the Santa Ynez Valley. Getting to the stables was a bit tricky as the roads are very narrow (one lane in some places with no shoulder to get around oncoming vehicles). A travel guide who was familiar with the area drove me there in a truck and even she discouraged attempting those roads in that size of vehicle. Then again, if you have already braved LA traffic by this point in your trip, you can do anything.

Great and memorable time. First time riding a horse. Host was great with conversation and keeping us at ease.

My granddaughters had an awesome half day ride. They were so excited when I picked them up they couldnt stop talking about the experience. Both are 16 so that says a lot about the overall experience. Highly recommend it.

You could not ask for a nicer crew to host you for horseback riding. Jack greeted us and helped us with paperwork and helmets (optional) and made us feel welcome and appreciated as customers. Elrick led us on the trail ride and was a pleasure to talk with on the journey. He was very engaging with my 12 year old daughter, which I appreciated, because the ride was a gift for her birthday. The view at the peak was lovely. When we arrived back at the stables we were greeted warmly by everyone. We look forward to visiting again.

Amazing experience! Our second time there and like always, highly recommend. Jack was the best guide ever. His experience and love for nature was contagious. Planning to keep coming until we are old.

Randy was an absolute treasure of a cowboy. The man had awesome stories, wonderful charisma, and jokes the whole ride. The views were amazing. Horses were well behaved and very polite. Wonderful time that was a REALLY reasonable price. Such a great trail too, really got to feel like you were back in time riding rugged untouched country. Would 10 out of 10 recommend, and be sure to tip your guides. They work hard making the expierence so awesome. Well absolutely be back again!

Sooo.... The people were friendly. The trail was beautiful. The ride was chill. Our trail lead guy was fun.My negative feedback is important!! We had a group of seven for our 11-year-old birthday. One of our adult persons was asked to be put on the scale. Shes in good physical condition. To even ask somebody to do that is absolutely demeaning. Their scale wasnt even correct. We are all animal people and wouldnt want to see an animal struggle. Their were a few. Also if their horses didnt look so old beat up and uncared for with scabs. And very obvious sad faces. Maybe this wont have been a problem and could have been easily accommodated. With bigger and happy healthy horses.

A good slow ride up the mountain and back. Its a walk. As a kid I used to ride horses and miss the galloping and meadow riding. This is a trail ride. Everyone was friendly and helpful. If you expect more than a slow walk on the horse then this isnt the ride for you.

My husband, daughter and I had the pleasure of riding with Jimmy. He was very personable and made our ride thoroughly enjoyable. Well be back and will highly recommend Circle Bar B!

Great staff. Keep you laughing and make sure your time is special. Horses in good shape. Go early so they are fresh, they get tired by then end of the day. Great views and stories as you ride along the trail.Ya have to try it at least once, youll be back. You can also stay there as well...Overall I would do it again. Kid friendly as well...Ask for Jack...

The ride was great, the experience overall I would do again. Note 2 things though - (1) you need to pay in cash when you arrive, so for a family of 4 on a 2.5 hour ride (which was the perfect length for all of us including our 12 y/o who was exhilarated afterwards) you need to show up with a small fortune in cash; and (2) you will likely be treated very kindly from the folks that work there, but you will hear very very very conservative opinions projected like about the “sissification” of California (apparently the people, the culture, etc) and about how man changes the environment so the environment should just adjust and take it, for instance the extermination of wolves in the lower 48, etc.Like I say, great horseback ride otherwise, but it came with ignorant attitudes from at least three different staff, and one in particular about the effects of humankind on Earth. It’s always ironic to me for countryfolk to express such opinions when you feel like they are more connected to the land and living in it and off of it than many liberal cityfolk who may not get out as much, yet understand the destructive power that our societies can have on the environment and everything in it, including ourselves. The extermination of animals in our lands continues. Our guide clearly loved seeing bobcats, bears, mountain lions, etc, yet I think they had little appreciation for the fact that unless support is given to the politicians who make environmentally sound policies, both the environment and all of human culture will continue to decline instead of flourish, as it could.

One of the best rides I have been on!! Highly recommend the half day ride way worth it!! And our guide was amazing I wish I wasnt bad with names I would list her!

Beautiful place, amazing and friendly staff, and it was a lot of fun. They leave in small groups with a guide and take group pictures at the top (we took the 1.5 hour route)

Real cowboys who love and care a lot about their horses! We met 2 amazing cowboys who toke us out and went above and beyond for us and gave me and my 2 sisters an experience of a lifetime. You can tell they love their jobs not because of the 💰 but because of the horses and their way of life. The cowboys we met three times, everyone, were polite, kind, helpful and completely understanding every step of the way! And that makes all the difference in the world because it makes us riders feel more comfortable and less nervous! The 2 riders who rode with us is Jimmy and AJ. Next time we come again we will be requesting them both again!

My sisters and I had the best time riding at these stables! We enjoyed the ride and the horses so much we ended up going three times. We had AJ and Jimmy as our guides and they were nothing but the best. The horses are well taken care of and loved as well. There was heat wave during our stay so we weren’t able to do the 4 hour ride for the horses safety, but we will definitely be back to do that sometime.

Amazing time! EVERYONE was extremely friendly and welcoming. Our rider, Johnny, was top-notch and provided such a great experience for our family of 6. Recommend this place to anyone!

Really beautiful views but I was at the back of the group and literally heard nothing our guide said. Definitely recommend doing a private ride, or at least inquiring on price, so that you have the full experience.

Everyone was curteous and the horses are pretty well trained. All in all a great experience for my first time on a horse. Just keep in mind that its a very dusty terrain so a hat, sunglasses and a scarf for your face if you are sensitive. Also wear something firm like jeans and shoes you dont mind getting dirty.

One of the last pristine, untouched, purely happy places Ive found. We will be coming back again and again! If you can, stay for a weekend for the best R&R youll ever get :)
