Despite how the name makes it sound, it’s actually a low impact workout so you wont hurt yourself or hurt yourself more if you’re already hurt. If you’re just getting started with working out or restarting after a break from regular exercise, it’s perfect because you just go at your own pace, then build as you get stronger. The owner, Bob will help you. He is very focused on form and function so that you are using your body the most efficiently. You get more results in an hour at KB than you do in other “self-guided situations.”
Killer B is amazing!I am prone to twisting my ankle and am not great at cardio, but the structure of Killer B just makes so much sense for any level of athleticism. All the trainers are great about helping with form while pushing you to do your best, whether you are competing with the group or with your own personal records. Also, with the level set up, it’s awesome to see the consistent progress as long as you work to your level. So easy to keep up and love the environment at Killer B!
Love this place. The workouts are different everyday. The trainers are fun and great at what they do. The clients are friendly and support each other. The extra games and competitions are just an added bonus. Been going for four years, 5 days a week and am in the best shape of my life.

I just joined Killer B 3 months ago, and am so glad that I did. I love the workouts that are created for us, and how they are different every single day. The hour flies by, and I am sweaty and satisfied when it is over. The trainers are enthusiastic, helpful, and motivating. They encourage everyone to do their best, regardless of fitness level. My favorite part is how friendly and inclusive everyone is, especially with the Eat Clean Team Challenges. I have done two now, and am ready to sign up for another. Killer B takes fitness, health and community to a whole new level!

The community at Killer B Fitness is so supportive and fun. I love the workouts because they are different everyday. I know when I walk out of there, I will have gotten the best workout possible. The trainers are great and willing to help you have best form while doing the exercises. I participated in a Eat Clean challenge recently and it is just what I needed. So many wonderful recipes were shared and they were quite delicious.
Best workout in Goleta! New and different workout every time! Easy to adapt the workout if you have an injury. I used to be a runner but after knee surgery those days are over. I never thought I would find a workout that gave me the same JOY that running did but I was wrong. This workout is fun and challenging. I definitely recommend Killer B!
Killer B has such a positive atmosphere with the best staff! I thought I was in shape until I started working out here. The classes are always very challenging but rewarding! You leave knowing you put in 110% effort because of how much the instructor motivates you. I love seeing how much I have been improving by recording and following my zones! I have definitely noticed positive change in my body and Im excited to see more results!
Ive been a gym rat for years and have gone to many gyms. But the workouts at Killer B have taken my fitness to another level both in terms of endurance and strength. The workouts are well-designed and intentionally varied to keep your body on its toes and prepared to handle most any fitness challenge. All of the trainers are consistently motivating and positive. They are knowledgeable too; they will help you modify your workout to address any restrictions you may have while still extending your fitness capabilities. I have suffered back injuries but have not once injured myself despite rigorous workouts. The atmosphere is always friendly.
I joined Killer B over three years ago and haven’t looked back. The entire community at Killer B fitness is great. The trainers are fantastic and are always focused on ensuring each person enjoys an impactful, but safe workout. They’ll work hard with you to refine your form on the 5 cardio machines and with any strength exercises. The classes are timed nicely throughout the day and each one packs a punch for a solid 40-50 minutes. Bob and his team keep it fresh every day so that you never get bored with same old routine. You will be hard pressed to find a workout that pushes your limits as hard as Killer B’s do. Once you commit to the Killer B program, you will see progress and you cardiovascular performance will improve dramatically and you’ll be in the best shape of your life. For the competitive athlete in me, it’s been a great fit, as they’ll mix in regular solo, partner and team fitness challenges throughout the year along with the regularly scheduled classes. They have two convenient locations: downtown SB and Goleta. Both are great.

I’ve been a part of Killer B for 5 months and I absolutely love it. The workouts are the hardest I have ever done; a combination of both strength and cardio. After having 3 kids, I am in the best shape of my life and such a nicer mom after getting my workout in every morning. The people and staff are so welcoming, friendly and high energy. This is the best workout ever! I joined 4 + years ago, after stints with other workouts/gyms that just didnt do much to motivate me or get me in shape. On top of this, I had a series of injuries that pushed me to find a better plan for my health. Since joining Killer B, I have not had a single injury. I have lost 25 pounds. I am a teacher, and this workout has changed the way I teach. Not only do I have more energy to give, but I have changed the ways I motivate my students to work tougher. I go to workouts 4 times a week. I am realizing that I need a set workout time, people around me to work out with, and accountability (for me, working with partners and writing my numbers down just plain makes me work harder!) This program has changed my life in more ways than just getting me into shape. I cant say enough good things about Killer B.

I have never enjoyed working out so much. I have also never walked into a gym before where the owner knows your name and puts in effort to get to know you. Not only are the workouts effective, but they are compelling. You never know what Bob is going to throw at you and it becomes almost addictive to show up and find out. What you can expect, however, is to achieve goals you never thought possible before joining Killer B. Additionally, you can expect to find community and become part of what I call the workout family.
Killer B is ultimately the best gym in town! New workouts are designed daily, which are unique and very effective. The positive and friendly environment here is a game changer! I’ve been a member of Killer B for at least 12 years. It’s the best 1 hour workout in town. All you have to do is show up and the class trainers do the rest. It’s a full body work out that changes every day, so it never gets boring or old! The members and trainers are very supportive if you are new. Plus there are programs and challenges to keep you motivated all year.

My favorite place to go after work. It helps me physically and mentally. The trainers are great cheerleaders and hold you accountable. You can be competitive if that is your thing or just work on yourself. Everyone who comes at least 3 days a week will get results!

Ive been a member for over a year and absolutely love this place! The workout is a great mix of strength and cardio, the equipment is low impact and safe and the trainers are knowledgable and fun. I joined looking for an effective gym and stayed because I found a like-minded community focussed on fitness and health through hard work and consistency. This was my first visit to Killer B - upon request for a friend. I loved it. I have never experienced anything quite like it. A challenging workout, but adaptable to meet my needs. A fun and supportive staff AND clients. They cheered each other on and congratulated one another on an excellent workout. The staff are super friendly and motivating - but not cheesy. I’m hooked!
Today completes 4 weeks of Killer B Fitness, and I am hooked. Im headed toward a much better level of fitness than what I was achieving on my own. The thought that goes into the workouts, and the accountability produce results. Im in it to win it.
What an awesome place to work out. The trainers are very friendly but are not afraid to push you to get your best workout in. The workouts are difficult but encourage teamwork and becoming your best self.

I love KB! When I joined I was completely floored at how they can keep a one hour workout fun, interesting and different every day. The trainers are fun and friendly, but the best part about KB are the results!! Im seeing a ton of weight loss with increased strength and cardio. I have only been attending a little over four months, but dont plan on leaving anytime soon!They also do fun events outside of the gym as a KB community, such as Tough Mudders, Night Moves etc...Its a super great place!

My husband has been going to Killer Bs for about 5 months and he swore to me I would love it as much as he did. So for my New Years resolution I joined and I absolutely love it there! Flexible hours for their classes and such a great community to be a part of. The trainers are awesome and the people who work out there are very friendly and ready to help when needed. The workouts are great! Bobs leveling system always lets you know where you are at, how hard you should be working and what you need to do to achieve your goals. There is a welcoming but competative community that makes you want to keep coming back.

I have been a member at Killer B for a little over four years now!After high school, it was always hard for me to get to the gym. I was so used to just going to basketball practice my whole life and getting my exercise there. I would go to the gym, get on the treadmill, get bored, and leave! It was not only really hard to get myself there, but to see any results too!Anyway, I somehow found out about Killer B, and though my effort while there, enthusiasm about going, weight, and actual attendance tends to go up and down (just because life happens), I always know what to expect at Killer B: a tough workout, accountability, teamwork, and friendly faces!I LOVE KILLER B!

I have been coming to killer b for over 3 years now. It was hard to adjust to the killer work outs at first but after coming to killer b fitness for a month (3 days per week) I improved my fitness level by 30%. Bob has created a numerical chart to measure your fitness level. Once you come to killer b a few times you get the hang of it. Over time you will move up on the chart. It is so satisfying to see yourself move up the fitness ladder!The work outs are different every day so you’ll never get bored. They include both cardio and strength with a large emphasis on cardio. The machines have little to no impact on your joints so you can build endurance without tearing apart your knees.The trainers are fantastic. They will gently correct your form if you are having trouble. I love the daily inspirational quotes because they give you something to think about while you sweat.What has surprised me lately is the sense of team spirit that I get when doing the clean eating challenges. Many of the teams choose to have a BBQ after the challenge is over just to celebrate together- win or lose.If you are thinking of joining a gym that will give you results while surrounding yourself with great people, look no further. Fantastic, efficient, low impact cardio and strength workout! The Killer B program allows me to easily quantify my progress and by commiting to 3+ workouts a week, I have made a lot of progress. The community at Killer B is supportive and very friendly. Love it.
I joined Killer B in July of 2018 after my CrossFit box closed. While Killer B is not a CrossFit affiliate the program provides the coaching, intense workouts and a competitive environment which is what I enjoyed about CrossFit. Most recently I have enjoyed the Eat Clean challenge which is a competition within the gym among teams that balances healthy eating habits with challenging yet exciting physical challenges. I would recommend Killer B to individuals who are looking for a healthier life style and a community to help them get there or for those who already enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and want to be motivated to something greater.

Review from Dolores Z.I once played basketball, volleyball, and racquetball. I really never liked to exercise, just for the sake of exercising; playing sports was my interest. I, like many moms, focused on my family in my 30’s & 40’s and in turn I became a good 20 pounds overweight. At 46, I was on vacation in Cancun watching some people play beach volleyball. I was invited to play and to my embarrassment my first hit to the volleyball I popped my knee. Luckily, it returned right back where it needed, but it hurt. That’s when I first realized I was out of shape! I began by drastically changing my diet then I needed to find a gym.I wanted a gym that all I had to do was show up and they would tell me what to do. No counting reps. No thinking on my part. I also wanted a program that was different every time I went, and frankly, that I would see results (the motivation I needed to keep showing up). My hairdresser Raquel Mendoza mentioned KILLER B FITNESS to me. I enrolled and it met all my criteria. The first thing I noticed was that the age groups and fitness level of the gym members were a wide range. I felt comfortable. I was sweating every time I went and I soon lost 10 pounds. The largest draw for me was KILLER B had both Cardio and Strength exercises, which I quickly learned to love.To be honest, at first, I just showed up worked my hardest and left. I heard BOB talk about levels, zones, baselines but I really didn’t HEAR him. But when you are at a gym that the owner and trainers know everyone’s name, I couldn’t hide for long. I soon learned how to use the levels and zones to measure and improve my fitness. I also found myself not only checking my baseline numbers but other women in my age group’s numbers as well. That internal competition motivated and inspired me. However, I still did not like Killer B Games or Partner Challenges. I was so use to just being in my own world. I was happy, I was pushing myself, and I was seeing pretty good results (so I thought). It wasn’t until I joined my first Eat Clean Challenge (ECC) that I realized I had so much more to give and to lose. I lost 8 pounds in my first challenge. I was so excited, I signed up for the next Eat Clean Challenge. This time I really came out of my shell and volunteered to co-captain a very cohesive, supportive, and inspiring team, TEAM DOMIN8. It was then that I really got it. The Partner Challenges, the KILLER B Games, the ECC Challenges; these friendly competitions were the education I needed to understand where I could and needed to improve my fitness. Not only that, I met a great group of KILLER B members that I now consider friends and motivators.I’m coming up to my 3rd year with KILLER B FITNESS; I truly appreciate the growth I have made and I thank the trainers and Bob for the whole KILLER B FITNESS Program and accountability.
