I had an oil change on my car, they did an excellent job, even letting me know that there were additional services that I might want to consider in the near future. The long-standing rattling seat issue has been resolved in the end. It has taken half a year to duplicate the issue at the dealership with several visits and test drives. The defective seat frame was replaced. I am pleased that the seat no longer rattles, but the half a year was too much stress to me. I deleted the past 1 star review. Thank SB Nissan for the repair under warranty.

Hello! I was not going to write a review on here, but after attempting to post an HONEST review on your facebook page, I cannot visit the page anymore. My experience with this dealership when buying this vehicle was great! I can honestly say it was not great or a good experience at all after purchasing my vehicle. My vehicle had problems soon after purchasing, which of course they would not help me with. 11 months after purchasing and only putting 8k miles on my vehicle, it broke down. It was an ignition coil that had gone bad and ended up taking my catalytic converter with it. Pricey repair! They did NOTHING to try to help me and were trying to charge me 3,000 to fix the catalytic converter without diagnosing the primary problem first! They still charged that diagnostics fee of course. So after they gave me a ridiculous price and were not willing to help me out in my situation, I went elsewhere and was able to get my truck repaired (including the underlying problem) for 1,800. Wow would you look at that Nissan! About a month after my truck has been repaired, the guy that sold it to me from the dealership calls me and asks me if I had anyone to refer to him (you should have called me to ask me how you can make the situation better). NOPE! I explained to him the situation, he went silent, and I have not heard from him or the dealership since. Not even a simple apology or an offer to slightly help the situation. Which is funny, because they would call me at least once a month to ask to leave a review immediately after purchasing the vehicle. Well, here is the review you wanted so badly Nissan! A little late, but more honest and informed than one I would have written earlier. So if you work at Nissan and are reading this, my advice to you... Quit cutting corners and help your customers out! I do not recommend this place at all. If you have to buy a used vehicle from here, have a trusted mechanic on hand to inspect it.
The people at Santa Barbara Nissan are very friendly, local, knowledgeable, and will take the time to sit down and explain everything step by step. Adam and the rest of the team there are awesome. If youre looking for a car speak to Adam theyre not so much trying to sell you a car more like guiding you along in the process.
First time buying a car at this dealer. They were very attentive to my needs and showed me the new car arrivals. They said I can go home with one that day so I went back an hour later and I did get to take home the new 2022 Pathfinder!! I didn’t feel pressured and was comfortable asking them questions. They met all my needs for a bigger and better car. They walked me through the car features and stayed overtime to make sure we got the basics. All the staff is very friendly and are very welcoming. Came in because my check engine light came on and I was 200mi from home. I was there for seven long hours. First he said it was my radiator. I explained I had just had a brand new one installed 3 months ago. My punishment for not falling for that was being left in that little room for another 6 hours. Scare tactic maybe? Then I was told it was my 02 censor and it was going to be $15k. Im not paying you 15 hundred if it takes you 6hrs to give me a diagnosis I could get with a reader at Auto Zone in 30 seconds. How can I trust your skills? I wont say is name here but I mentioned his name at the third garage I took it to and the mechanic knew him. Said they fired him for telling customers they needed work not required. Imagine that! Turned out it was my Knock Sensor.The 2 stars were for the coffee and sweet young lady with the decent customer service. Bianca I think.

Bianca took great care of me while I waited for my service to be completed. She checked in with me several times throughout the service appointment and kept me updated on the progress. It had a recall issue to be fixed as well as normal oil change and tire rotation.

My parents are older and purchased a 2018 Rogue brand new from SLO. It now has 24k miles. We had horrible experiences with Coast Nissan (San Luis Obispo) and Santa Maria Nissan. We decided to take the Rogue to Santa Barbara Nissan. It was the best decision ever regardless of the drive. Apparently al they care about is making you spend more maney. I was treated very unprofessionally by Jamie Garcia and did not feel welcome there as a customer. Services are pricier than other car shops in the area, and they wont tell you if you are covered by warranty. I dont know what happened, but as soon as I pulled out my phone to check my list of car problems, I was accused of recroding the conversation and asked to show them my phone. I mean, really? What are you afraid of?
Excellent work at excellent prices! My tuneup was performed right on schedule and I was able to use my points! I was out of there very quickly and I always trust Santa Barbara Nissan to be right on top of any repairs that are needed. I got a new car!!!! I got a 2021 Nissan Sentra, as a college student I know I am going to be constantly on the road to visit my parents. I needed something affordable abs economically efficient. He is unprofessional and has no manners! My wife was trying to schedule an appointment and was told by him that they are booked for the next two weeks! I do not understand why the owners allow him to work there! Please avoid that place and pretend theres no Nissan dealer in the area!

I made a point of giving my business to this local company but now regret it! Unprofessional behavior and bad customer service at all levels - owner, manager, head of service department. Even the GM. I bought a used car and had to ask them to fix several issues that should have been done prior to even putting the car on the lot, like balancing the tires, unclogging plugged wiper fluid nozzles, fixing a loudly rattling muffler, etc. Initially they were very accommodating, but when I asked to bring the car in again because their muffler fix didnt take and they forgot to unclog the wiper fluid nozzles, they made it obvious they just wanted me to go away. The sales manager told me at one point he would call me in 1 week to schedule an appointment - 2 weeks later no call. After I finally called again, he proceeded to argue and adopted a cold attitude after I pointed out that he should have called when he said he would. The first 2 times I had the car in (for the diagnosis and initial repairs), they gave me a loaner. When I told them I needed to bring it in again because they had forgotten the wipers and the muffler was still rattling, the owner grudgingly agreed to do me the courtesy of looking at the car again, but said he would only do it between the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm weekdays, and that I would have to wait. Although they already knew I worked full time at a new job and could not wait for the car (which is why they had previously given me a loaner twice), this time they refused me a loaner or even a ride. I had to appeal to the GM Cristy (owners daughter) to intervene. Unfortunately, however, after having a conversation with Cristy about the situation and receiving her commitment to have them give me a ride while the car was being fixed, I still had to leave her 3 more messages before she responded and followed through, by having the service dept call me to set the appointment. So it was only because of her intervention that the owner agreed to give me ride back to work while they attended to the items they hadnt handled before - unbelievable! And the head of service Jaime is extremely rude to clients - other employees there actually told me he is well-known for his bad manners and horrible customer service skills. And yet this person is head of a department?? Bottom line: the owner is old school, tight with his money and doesnt care about doing the right thing, and management needs lessons in customer service and follow through. This company does not understand customer service, doesnt inspect their used cars prior to sale and keeps rude and unprofessional employees on staff. GO ELSEWHERE AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A DEALERSHIP THATS PROFESSIONAL AND UNDERSTANDS BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Most relaxed auto purchase I’ve ever had. Buying during a pandemic and political chaos has frightened buyers away from new vehicles and loans. Paying cash helps. Having a great trade-in helps. Being able to walk away at any time puts the buyer in control.Researched all available mid-size (Japanese) trucks. Nissan had better features than Toyota. Other than the required 20 signatures and mild pressure to buy extended warranted and service contracts, it was relatively quick. Carefully read what you are signing. There were errors that had to be corrected.

Disappointed in our experience here. Made an appointment to see a specific truck, appointment was confirmed by Nissan. Showed up for appointment and suddenly the truck was unavailable for viewing. The lady said the service station was closed and it would likely be Wednesday before the truck was ready. (Service department is advertised as open on Saturdays). She then proceeded to show a truck that was $23,000 MORE expensive. The manager then informed us that he wasnt sure if he was going to sell the truck at the advertised price or not, I havent decided yet ... even though the truck was on the website for sale already.Very disheartening ... felt like a bait and switch. We wont be back.

My car would not start after having a wonderful weekend getaway in Santa Barbara. This was my families first vacation of the summer due to COVID-19 restrictions on travel. My car was towed to Santa Barbara Nissan for a diagnostic and repair. I fully anticipated a problem with the starter or fuel pump based on estimates from AAA towing.Turned out the problem was the fuel pump along with several other issues detected by the diagnostic test. The professionalism, customer care and support I received was exceptional. The Service Rep. Jaime completely handled everything with my warranty company, had all my repairs covered and returned my rental car to Enterprise. It was a pleasure working with Santa Barbara Nissan.

My wife and I own a 2011 Nissan 37OZ convertible which we purchased at the Nissan dealership in San Luis Obispo. The top on our car stopped functioning and, after Coast Nissan let us know that they would not attempt to fix the problem, I contacted Santa Barbara Nissan. While we were not able to fix the top itself due to engineering issues, the staff and mechanics at Santa Barbara Nissan were extraordinary, communicating throughout and getting us back on the road. Any further service on our Nissan will be done 100 miles away from now on, in Santa Barbara.
