All of the service personnel are always friendly and professional. When I arrived, I was attended to promptly. My Prius was ready within the two hours I was told it would take. Due to Covid, I wasnt comfortable waiting in the indoor waiting room so I sat on a wooden bench in the shade outdoors. For a 2 hour wait it wasnt comfortable.
Forest has so professional and kind when he explained what repairs were needed on my Prius. I picked up my car today after only one day in the ‘shop’. I am very appreciative of the time Forest & Matt spent with me. I give both of them 5 + stars!
Service rep Justin was excellent. Unfortunately a critical yet inexpensive switch that activates a buzzer if the drivers door is opened and the lights are still on or the key is still in the ignition and also turns on the interior light is no longer available. So the repair could not be made and I no longer have those protections nor the feature of the interior light coming on as I enter the car at night. This is not the dealers fault, but it is a decision made by Toyota to no longer supply this critical part.

I have suctioned side window shades.I took drivers side down to talk with Justin...that is when a picture was taken, showing no drivers side window shade. (I had set it on the passengers side seat.) When my car was returned, the side shade in the seat was gone. Because of the picture, showing it not on the window, they/Justin claim it was never there.I guess its gone forever.
A rare 5 stars for dealer service but they were super professional, realistic and timely in getting new spark plugs in my 2000 Tacoma with factory parts and she’s idling real well for a 20 year old truck. They gave me by far the best, most fair price in my research for the work. Rachel M was my advisor and she was no-nonsense, no hidden shop expenses just quality work in a timely fashion. If you have toyota it makes sense to hire people who are trained and certified by Toyota. I’ll be back, if it’s necessary this truck is a tank.

It was time for a vehicle upgrade and I knew that a Toyota was the best option for me. I met with Tim Green and he patiently listened to my needs and concerns for this big purchase. Even despite the current vehicle shortage (and me not being the easiest person to deal with when purchasing a car, since I know a bit about cars and car dealerships), he worked to find me the best option and was real, honest, and up front with me about all the possibilities. He and the finance team allowed me some time to go and think it over before I made my decision. They even went above and beyond and got my car to me earlier than I expected, and took the time to personally walk me through setting up Bluetooth and all that. Im absolutely LOVING my new 4Runner more than I even thought I would and am glad I chose to close a deal with Tim and the Toyota team.
I was looking to purchasing a Toyota Corolla hatchback. Online conversation went good. I had asked for the numbers in the vehicle and no one got back to me. Manager was apologetic several days later but I had purchased a Honda Accord. I asked if he had any Tacoma’s as I was looking to purchasing another vehicle. He said he did. I sent him an email asking for the numbers for the cheapest TRD Off-road Tacoma that he had. Never heard back. So I ended up ordering a Jeep. I’m looking to purchasing possibly a truck at the end of the year. But I don’t think I’ll be purchasing from Santa Barbara Toyota until they are serious about selling vehicles.

I was super stressed about losing my old broken car and searching for a new one. That was until I decided to check out what Toyota of SB had to offer one Sunday morning. And there she was! Standing out with her shiny blueprint/midnight black self. I never thought to consider a hybrid, but I was very impressed when I test drove it. Alex S., the product specialist, accompanied us and he was indeed very knowledgable, breaking down the concept a little bit and just showcasing all of the cars wonderful features.Alex ended up being our guy to follow through with the entire purchase process and was pretty straightforward on financing and did not come off pushy when we had reservations/contemplating things. He was a very pleasant person to work with and everyone else we encountered was friendly as well. When I drove my little Blueberry off the lot, she had a full tank of gas, was squeaky clean, and shiny :)If I was overflowing with cash, I would purchase again from this dealership. When the time comes, I am looking forward to having my car serviced. Im sure it will be as great as the service I received when purchasing the car.

Today I had a routine maintenance afternoon appointment. I waited over 1 1/2 only to find out my car had not been worked on. I don’t blame your staff. I blame it on, they are understaffed. The work was done very efficiently and courteously. Rachel was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure I was pleased with the work. In addition to taking care of a major electrical issue, the dealership also buffed out my front headlights since the car was a 2005 Toyota and the glass was very foggy. After I got home I notice one of the lights didn’t look as though it had been fully buffed. I came back, brought this to Rachel’s attention and she immediately took the car to have the mechanic address the problem while I waited. The attention to my concern and satisfaction convinced me to again use Toyota of SB for my repair work.
The person who dealt with our problem was exceptionally patient and knowledgeable, and he answered our concerns concisely and convincingly. I would have given Toyota 5 stars, but, hey, its a dealership!

I am so amazed and thrilled with the Goleta Toyota dealership! I bought my vehicle at a different dealership because they had the one I wanted in stock and it was worth the drive. I tried a different dealer that was very not on the level in my neighborhood and ended up having to find another place which is what brought me to the Goleta Toyota dealership. I’ve been with them for over a year now and every single time I go in I get exemplary service where it’s clear they have my best interest in mind for a long-term and not their quick make a dollar like a lot of other dealerships. BEWARE!! This Dealer and it’s LEADERS are crooks, my lady went out and purchased a Certified Corolla, they sold her paint and fabric protection (Xzilon) as you see on the contract below this was promised at a later date. When she called to cancel and not get put on The sales manager Conrad and hector the finance manager mention they add in Detail so she couldn’t cancel. Not only does this contract say it needs to be applied at a later date.clearly they don’t want to cancel for a charge back. Finance products and markups are a fraud. If anyone of you paid a markup or were forced to buy something that you didn’t want and didn’t sign an Addendum sue this people. It’s not fair and it ain’t right. You should all be ashamed of yourself for taking advantage of innocent people .
The only reason I didnt give a 5 was the expense of Toyota trucks due to the computer chip shortage (due to Covid). That caused the prices to be higher (supply/demand). I had shopped at several other dealerships (in person and online). These guys were the best even though I had to travel a fair distance. I thought that Juan Beltran did a good job working with me. He was fair and knowledgeable. I had spoken with Mike, the sales manager, previously. We worked out a deal and the process was painless. I got home and discovered that I was missing one of the four adjustable tie down brackets. We texted Juan and hes mailing us the one that was missing. Really glad I made the trip. Never guessed thats where Id buy it. I will definitely start with Santa Barbara Toyota next time.

Service Rep Forest Creasy is very personable, courteous and knowledgeable. However, someone took my drivers floor mat and just tossed it in the back of my RAV4 dirtying a couple of clean towels back there. Could they not have taken a little bit of care and simply set it down upright to avoid spreading the filth?
I have a lease with them and I come a couple of times a week for service. Everything has been easy and the staff is really nice.

When I called about a vehicle which I was extremely interested in, I was told that the vehicle had been marked up to 70k.. this is definitely more than 10%, which is called price gouging and illegal in California. So sad, I was ready to purchase the vehicle today andgive a decent down payment.

The seller broke my trust by calling me when I asked him not to. He called me and had his manager call me about buying a car there as well. I would have much rather worked with the Manger because he was more in the moment compared to the sales rep that I had. I would have preferred an email over any phone calls. I had to literally tell the seller to stop calling me. They are hard sellers that enjoy a good mansplaining to a woman like me. Also, they asked for way too much personal info from me when there was no car I was even sure about buying yet. The car I had initially showed interest in, was sold before I drove out there, and they failed to notify me of that before driving out there. It gave me a disgusting feeling in my stomach, giving them my personal info after they sold the car I wanted and they tried to force a less valuable car on me. Also, the choice of all Spanish music in the sellers office blasting while I waited is just not my cup of tea.
They basically stole $1,500 from me. They took my clean fuel reward rebate and put it into my purchase without telling me. I wouldnt have bought the car if I knew their offer included that rebate. Of course if I read the 50 pages of documents I signed, it probably said it in there, but who reads that? They knew they were ripping me off. I got neither a big city deal nor a home town feel. Go elsewhere.

A bit busy not too bad. I had an appointment for oil change at 7:45 am. My car was alldone about 9:30. Nice people, good service, free coffee in the waiting room, clean bathroom, and all highly conscious of the virus spread. I felt very safe. I am from Washington State and not a normal customer of the establishment.
My appt was for 7 30 am, but service did not begin work untill 8 30 am while I sat and waited... Not good.

I dont ever write reviews, but the absolute lack of service provided by Tom Z (Sales Manager) at Toyota of Santa Barbara was appalling. I came into to test drive a used vehicle on the lot (2018 Subaru Outback) and gave them an offer. I had to leave, but received a call from Tom that afternoon and we finalized a price for me to purchase the vehicle. They were going to sell the vehicle to another dealer, but Tom verbally committed to selling me the vehicle and stated I could come in that evening to do the paperwork - no rush needed. Roughly one hour later after Tom had said the vehicle was mine, I received a call from a lower associate (not the Sales Manager) at the dealership that the Subaru was being taken off the lot. Toyota of Santa Barbara sold the Subaru to another dealer out from under me. Tom then offered to sell me a higher mileage, lower trim Subaru Outback for $500 less than their asking price. Not exactly a sweet deal. Tom would not do anything else to fix the situation and wouldnt even apologize in person when I showed up. This shows either complete incompetence or purposeful negligence on his part.Ultimately what happened was completely legal, but customers keep your business going - not other dealers. I will never to do ANY business with Toyota of Santa Barbara, and please AVOID working with Tom Z.
Juan and other Toyota SB Crews are excellent folks. It was the most pleasant and friendly dealership experience I had yet. They tried their absolute best to meet my demand and make a fair deal on new manual Tacoma. I would definitely return in future if I need another Toyota vehicle.
I had a great experience getting my car serviced at Toyota of Santa Barbara! The staff were friendly and cordial. It was easy to schedule an appointment online and the whole service took less than half an hour while I waited on their Covid-safe waiting room/patio. Because my 2020 RAV4 Hybrid is covered by Toyota Care, the whole experience didn’t cost me a dime. I hate having to go in for routine car maintenance, but this was a great customer experience.
An appointment for a duplicate slide key (with no remote) turned into a 2.5 hour experience. It is my understanding that the programmed key takes 30-60 minutes total. Interesting because I saw my car drive by 30 minutes before it was ready which leads me to believe it sat for 2 hours, even with an appointment and me arriving on time. I was then given the wrong paperwork to sign followed by being guided to the wrong car. Mine was not in sight! The good news is 1) Rachel remained professional and 2) the key works.

Their service advisors are always friendly and helpful, as are the technicians and store men. Work is completed on time and, in non Covid times, they provide an excellent shuttle service for their customers.I plan to continue using Toyota of Santa Barbara for as long as I own Toyotas, theres no reason not to.

I had an excellent experience working with Justin at the service department. It is probably well known that dealerships make their livelihood on revenue from the service side of the business more so than car sales. However, in helping on the repairs of my Sequoia, Justin made every attempt to minimize unnecessary costs. I want to keep my 07 running a little longer, in lieu of a truck payment.A front lower ball joint had failed, causing the right wheel to break away, held only by control arms at that point. To prevent further damage, the mechanic replaced that part where the vehicle sat, as placed by the tow company. Only then was the vehicle driven into the service bays, where the balance of repairs were completed.A speed sensor that had appeared damaged, turned out ok. That saved about $500.As a side note, the 2000 something Tundras and Sequoias will go over one million miles, same motor and transmission. Several have made it, the owner receiving a brand new truck from Toyota in exchange for their 1,000,000 mile vehicle. Look it up. The 4.7 motor is the bomb though.You just have to replace some components along the way.Word to the wise.

A big part of buying a car is getting it serviced. I choose to service my car at the Toyota dealership. The reason i do this is that my service writer, Justin Shores, does such a great job. Always follows up on any questions, promptly lets me know when my car is ready. Because of him, I would have no problem buying my NEXT car at ToSB again!
