They also charged me the same fair price that he quoted. I called Javier on a Thursday afternoon to see about getting my radiator looked at. He asked me the year, make and model.. Asked if I would bring the vehicle in the next morning. We never really discussed a fee for service, Ball park number. I dropped the jeep off and went on my way. His employee called ma at 4 PM and said jeep was fixed, . The charge was no where what I expected. Less $ 100. than I expected. Great gut and great team. The only downside, he is a Yankee fan.

Best mechanic Ive ever met. Javier is a nice guy, plus he is honest and always finds the least expensive parts and offers great service. I have an old car with numerous problems and he has always been able to accomodate me with same day repair. Saved me a ton of money on a new radiator, as well as fixing numerous leaks and other problems dirt cheap. He always takes time to explain exactly what he is doing and looks for the easiest way. Polite and professional.

When my radiator sprung a leak, I took my car into the shop to see if the radiator could be repaired. Javier was very helpful and friendly. He took a look at it to see if he could repair it for me and also offered me a fair and reasonable quote for a replacement radiator, but didnt pressure me to buy it. Been taking my vehicles to Javier for 6 years now and he consistently does quality work at a fair price. Hes one of those mechanics that finds the $10 fix instead the $200 overkill. The shop is bare bones so dont expect a courtesy van to take you home but youll get good work at a good price.

I have been taking my cars over the years to Javier at Goleta Radiator. My dad has taken his cars as well as other friends I have recommend to him. he truly is an honest mechanic who will you a honest diagnosis and wont waste your time or money. If you want expensive quality parts or budget parts that question is up to you to see what you want put into your car. hes very knowledgeable is his trade and if he cant help out with a certain repair he tells you honestly and depending on the repair can recommend another shop that he trusts. He once referred me to Goleta Transmissions when I had a questionable issue with my cars transmission and it all worked out great with them. He is a small repair shop so please be patient, but it will be well worth it for you and your car.

I thought that my radiator had a hole in it. I called on Friday about noon and asked if they could check out my jeep. Javier got me in at noon to diagnose the problem ( water pump with a hole in it) and out by 5:00. I was very happy that I didnt have to spend the weekend without transportation.

Worst customer service ever. Man was rude and wanted to do his own ideas rather than listen to the customer. We needed a full brake replacement and there were unexpected problems. Instead of being kind and working with us to figure out the solution the mechanic simply got angry and refused to listen ended up doing half of the job - charging us the full price and doing a bad job on the part he did do. DO NOT RECOMEND USING THIS PLACE.
