The most amazing nail spot, I literally make the hike up from the city just to get my powder dip mani done with Tracy. Many very talented ladies also for gel looks and cute designs. I highly recommend. Its always busy sooo 100% definitely call ahead. There are also soooo many color and ombre options its also hard to choose every single time. Tracy, Toni and other do a phenomenal job shaping and adding detail. Amazing nail salon, one of the best north of the city.

Amy did an amazing job on my fill in and pedicure. Pedicures from here last long (1-2 months). There is no price list so you may spend more than expected.

I had Lily and she was amazing! Very attentive to my requests and constantly checked in if everything was okay. That’s really important to me as I can be a bit particular on shape and size and she was very understanding. LOVED the finished look!

Never going again. When I first walked in, I was greeted with zero customer service and not even a simple hello from the technician. After getting my gel removed from a previous salon, the technician asked me what shape and when I asked him what shapes he could do, he didn’t reply. Without my input, he started doing a square shape with a lack of precision and quality. Customer service was awful, technique and application was horrendous. It was so bad I didn’t even want him to continue I had to leave. Save yourself the money and don’t ever walk into this store.

330 for 2 dip sets and 2 pedicures. I had bubbling under my set and the shine faded within 3 days. The toe polish chipped the very next day. They do serve drinks, but so does White Pearl where they have a full bar and much friendlier service with better pricing and a derm spa. Definitely wouldnt choose this over the other 5 star experiences in the North Shore. Another great alternative that fixed the nails that Rockstar did for my vacation is by 711 In Northbrook. Very small and they do not serve any drinks but the salon owner and all staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and their work is much better for 20 dollars per piece less $.

I was in 2 weeks ago, not sure who I seen but the man was very nice and they accommodated even though I was late by 20 mins. My fault completely. But they did a good job. So today I saw Holly she was great. I went for a fill but unfortunately needed a full set because my nails are so small and short. She talked me through on what would be best for my nails and she did a GREAT job. I highly recommend her. My friend is also satisfied with her nails. I would love to come back and see them again. the entire facility is beautiful clean and elegant. Thank you again Holly :)

I did a manicure and my nails turned out good. The service on other hand was terrible. The manicurists werent speaking English and it was a very uncomfortable situation i was in. obvious they were talking about me. It was very uncomfortThey get your attention with low prices but to add anything to your manicure like cuticle cleaning its extra money.

I don’t understand the poor reviews. I’ve been coming here for years for dip nails and pedicure and drive out of my way to go here. Sure I’ve had a few technicians that were not my favorites but it’s been relatively rare. Jolie, Lily, Tom, and Tracie are all great.

I see some extremely dramatic negative reviews of this salon. Every time I have gone they have been so friendly, quick, and I get a great end product. I got a pastel manicure with every nail alternating colors and they did so without a peep of annoyance for my obnoxious request. $5 extra charge which I happily paid. Very clean and professional.

1) Incredibly rushed.2) paid $42 for dip, and its not even a full manicure service. Like legit who cuts your cuticles without softening them in water?3) paid $34 for a kids mani and pedi. It has been exactly 4 hours since our service and already the polish has lifted off of my daughters nails.

This place was so fun! It is huge and there are a lot of employees available to get you in quickly. My no-chip manicure was finished quickly and looked great. It didnt last quite as long as other places Ive been to (by a day or two) but my nails were very healthy underneath. They had a large selection of complimentary beverages including wine and mimosas, which was a nice touch!

Rock Star salon deserves 100% rating!Bobby, their general manager, is a master of providing great customer experience. He trained his staff to be the same. Rock Star can lead the way to other salons in Illinois or in the whole USA to a better version of salon experience. Theres an enormous colors to choose, different types of manicure services, state of the art equipment, a variety of selection of drinks. Its like getting nails painted in a cafe or juice bar! I heard that they also offer Rock Star salon as a venue for Nail Party and there is a portion of their shop reserved for those events. They have so much to offer and this is really amusing!

Worst experiences ever. I have gone more than once (shame on me), because it is close to my home, but never again. They do not take their time, they try to do the job quickly by skipping steps and try to up sell you every time. With so many choices in your nail care, I urge you to research and find a better one than this!

They were very sanitary, did a very nice job on my acrylics. they also gave out free drinks while they did your nails. the staff was very nice but the acrylics didnt last very long even though i took very good care of them.

Overall a great place to get your nails done! They even do the dip powder manicure which is great. There is one male staff member that is really rough on your feet during pedicures though. He hits the bottom of your heels. That is neither relaxing or comfortable so I always ask him to refrain from this. He is very skilled otherwise though. This place is very clean and nice! You can also ask them to do a manicure and pedicure at the same time which saves you about an hour. Love this place!

Ive been here a few times since moving from out of town. Also difficult to find a good nail salon but Im happy with the services I have received. The staff is friendly and very professional. They always have a lot of people working so your wait time is short. They have a great selection of services and nail colors which is important!

10/10 if I could rate that high! Been going to this place since they opened. All the technicians are so funny and nice and I love Jimmy he’s so funny and great. They offer a variety of snacks and drinks (alcohol included for those over 21). Beautiful atmosphere as well. The only technician that’s okay is Andrew (I believe his name is). He’s funny but a little rough on your nails and doesn’t always take well to rules and directions on how to do your nails. For example, he was removing my acrylic nails but the polish remover that is suppose to be in a bowl, should be hot but he never turned it on so it took awhile and then Bobby came and told him he needed to turn It on but he didn’t listen. Other than that everyone else is amazing and super friendly!!

This is my go to for my sns dip! I am hooked on this process and enjoy the atmosphere here. I have had a bad sns dip experience before elsewhere and have never had a bad on here!!! Thanks for making my nails look like a rock star!

I went in for a gel manicure, which turned out great and lasted me two weeks now! I was in and out in about a half hour, and they had a lot of colors to choose from. I was very pleased with the service and will be going back tomorrow to get them re done. Lots of different manicures and pedicures to choose from depending on what kind of experience you are looking for! Definitely make an appointment because they seem to be a bit busy for walk ins!

Well, I got it done by a man who I don’t know what his name is, but he made my nails go outward instead of inward 😂 also, he got the color wrong and it sucked but oh well.. I’m coming again! Just got done with a pedicure and eyebrow wax. Both done by separate people. If I was basing this on the woman who did the eyebrow waxing, the rating would be much higher, but this is based solely on the woman who did the pedicure and the management.She did a horrible job. I had to point out all the places she missed, and it still wasnt completed. I was left sitting there having to use my fingers to peel away the dead skin.When I complained to the manager at the front desk, he wouldnt even listen to me and waved it away dismissively.Its a shame too, because Ive been there before and had a good experience but this time I literally have to go to another pedicure salon to finish the job.

This place cares more about the beauty of the place instead of the service. Nails were shaped uneven and were actually bleeding when I left. I asked if they can fix it and they simply made it worse. I finally went to pay and they charged me extra then what their website states and the manager told me at first. Wouldn’t waste your money here. Such a $50 waste.

I have been going to this place for the past couple of months and I have never had a problem before but yesterday was not a Mani experience at all -- it was torture! Tina was my technician and she was terrible -- I do not like the way my nails look- just messy, uneven, not smooth or shinny. I paid $39 for SNS/powder. I wish to not go back ever again. To be in the nail salon business, there must be some level of pride you take in your work and if youre tired step aside, take a walk etc. If I could give negative marks I would.. but not acceptable!!!

Rockstar Nails is great! Professional customer service and a very pampering experience is an everytime guarantee at Rockstar. I especially recommend Angie. She is so good that I followed her after she’d left another salon in Des Plaines. Angie is quick but diligent, the nails last for weeks without chipping. She is also a very friendly soul. Highly recommended!!!

One of the best nail salons Ive been to.

Ive been coming here for almost two years. My last few visits were subpar. They have become rushed, rude, and the quality of work is decreasing. Sloppy work now and they expect a tip. My gel nail extensions were done only a day ago and are already showing air bubbles and separation at the cuticles. There was even a woman that came in behind me while I was paying about to leave, complaining that her manicure literally peeled off after only a day. I had high hopes for this place and didnt mind the higher pricing because I liked the decor its beautiful and the complimentary refreshments. Sad to say I am looking for a new salon and will most likely not be coming back. A pretty salon can only facade bad craft for so long.

I went here to get my nails done for my wedding and Andy did such a great job, they dont rush and take there time to make your nails prefect!

The inside was pretty cool but I wasnt so impressed by the job they did on my nails. I came in for a mani/pedi. I had leftover no-chip from my last manicure and instead of putting acetone on it, they filed the no-chip on top of my nails to get it off. They did a mani/pedi at the same time, which I normally dont mind to save time. My pedicure was okay, but they did such a horrible job on my manicure. My nails were all filed on a slant and they globbed on the polish which ended up leaving me with air bubbles on my nails. If Im in a rush and everywhere else is busy, maybe Ill come back, but probably my first and lat time.

Literally the worst nail experience Ive ever had. I brought my daughter and niece for kids mani/pedis for my nieces birthday. It took a solid 5 min for us to even be acknowledged and checked in, and thats only because I started walking around asking if someone could help us. It took annother 20 min past appt time for the nail techs to start filling pedi bowls. We had to leave to pick up my other daugher at a bday party so no time to dry and they were out of the quick drying spray. I cant believe this place was recommended by a friend.And I see that rather than apologizing for awful customer service, the owner is commenting that the negative reviews are fake. Sounds a lot like our orange POTUS. For the record, I have never posted a google review, ever, but felt compelled after this terrible experience. NOT FAKE.

My nails are all different lengths and they made my cuticles bleed in multiple places. Along with nail polish not covering my whole nail. Very very disappointed
