I took my 80s vintage Onkyo TX5000 stereo receiver in for repair. Its been sitting in a very hot storage barn for 12 years and needless to say it didnt work once I took it out and plugged it in. I took it to Robert and he fixed it all up like new for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for any audio/video needs you may have.

Excellent staff! Mine was a phone sales and the staff quickly identified my needs rather than making a big sale. Staff is very patient and didn’t try to rush through the process even though it was very obvious that things were busy at the store. I also appreciated their awareness of ensuring that the equipment I was purchasing would be compatible with what I will also be getting. Highly recommend this place and will be a regular customer.

My partner and I have been Im the industry for a while and the only vendor that we even consider getting our gear from is Astro. Regardless if you are a stranger or my best friend my answer woukd always be the same. Such great service and if wer ever in a bind, Astro always has been dependable for us even last minute. I been buying DJ equipment from this place for years, it is my go to place, but due to the pandemic they are suffering from the same thing shortage of equipment, but it is a great place to get you system or to upgrade any part of your system, people are friendly and knowledgeable of the things you inquire about.

Always excellent service. Ive purchased more than a few items from here at this point. Ive also had my Technics 1210s serviced at Astro, along with a couple of Mackie speakers, and a CDJ. This pricing is good, the customer service is extraordinary, and I couldnt be more satisfied with Astro. I highly recommend supporting this brick and mortar DJ shop because businesses like this are a dying breed!

Lonnie at Astro AV and Lighting was incredible! He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were looking for some DJ equipment to rent for our wedding and we were pretty lost. He helped us figure out exactly what we needed and didn’t need. In the end, the speakers we had already rented plus our friend’s DJ set up was all we needed so we didn’t have to rent anything from Astro’s at all. Been dealing with them for years, great bunch of people and honest too. They arent a Denon distributor now though, so that sucks but if you like Pioneer its a place for you. They are a big ADJ outfitter as well.

I had a horribly disappointing experience with Astro AV on ONLY the event itself. The staff was kind but none of that matters when the services and equipment you paid for does not end up working. I hired them for a very important event at a venue who they were the preferred vendor and the quality of the sound was just terrible. It was embarrassing on my part and the focus of the event was the speaking sessions and content (almost 2 hours of speaking content). In feedback surveys with clients they all made mention on how distracting and painful the sound was and it makes me sad that all of the hard work on this event was completely washed away by the sound quality. They ended up giving me 50% back but the damage was already done. The tech did not seem to know what he was doing so either the tech was inexperienced or they were using poor quality equipment. Again, kind people but I will never use them again. I recommend that anyone who uses them does extensive research, testing, interviewing of the techs, etc to avoid the catastrophe I had.

Easy access and easy to get to and staff was very helpful and friendly! They have everything that meets your audio, video needs. Finally a company that goes the extra mile for their customers, I like that!

Learning the art of djing was something Ive wanted to do for years. With the new year approaching I thought, Why wait until 2019... So on November 2018 I signed up for Dj classes at Astro Audio Video Lighting with Brendan as my instructor. Brendan is an excellent instructor. I learned more from him in 3 lessons than I would of learned on my own in 3 months (believe me, I tried).He is flawless at mixing and teaches you how to beat count, listen to music, mix, use effects, and other techniques. Him, Cyph, and the rest of the crew at Astro Audio Video and Lighting are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable in dj, music production, and audio/video equipment. I would recommend Astro Audio Video Lighting if your interested in djing or interested in purchasing sound or lighting equipment.

I guess this place is fine for house party DJs to rent from, but anything beyond that and these guys are a nightmare. Staff is beyond incompetent sometimes, like Guitar Center bad. I was once working on a corporate fundraiser where Astro was handling the somewhat basic video setup. The owner of the company had to drive out to figure out their video switching unit after three of their techs couldnt. I recommend working with a more reputable company. Theres plenty of them in LA.
