Since Arena Taxi sold out to Mid Island Taxi they are now a monopoly in the area. The service has become terrible. Operators dont have time to take credit card payments. We called for a private ride to Manhasset.The car arrived with a second passenger going to another Manhasset address. Plus, were still in a pandemic and the other passenger was not wearing their mask properly. Why does Mid Island think its OK to mix passengers?Why am I paying full price for a shared ride?I think next time Ill call Uber!

I booked our airport car service from out of state with Mid Island taxi after several attempts to contact other car services/taxi services. Our plane was delayed by an hour which meant we would be getting into LGA at 12:am instead of 11:00 pm. Our driver Andrew texted me as we were still on the plane to unboard. He let me know that he was there and to call when I was ready. It took 15-20 minutes to get our luggage but Andrew still waited for my call. Once we got our luggage I called him and he was right outside the terminal. The town car was clean and Andrew was very pleasant. Thank you to Andrew for getting us home at such a late hour. He even waited for us to get in the house before he left. I would use Mid Island Taxi again.

Terrible experience. Hung up on. Then got voicemail than the operator used a pirate voice, said he was under the influence and never got a cab

The worst cab company ever

Some of the drivers are nice and prompt. However, I got into a cab that was full of cigarette smoke and it irritated my asthma for hours afterward. He also had to turn off the car and then turn it back on at red lights in order to make his windshield wipers work, and that is unsafe. I wouldnt recommend this service. Lyft and Uber sometimes take longer to arrive but they are much more reliable, safe, and pleasant.

Darn good service. Clean cars that are well maintained by a top notch mechanic. A great daytime dispatcher, Frank, probably the best in the biz. If they occasionally drop the ball, as apparently some of these other reviewers think they do, well, it doesnt happen often. And when you consider that they pick up and safely deliver hundreds of customers each week... 24/7... maybe theyve got a pretty darn good track record after all. Listen, Arena has a lot of longstanding, loyal customers. Apparently these people like what they see from Arena. (Otherwise they wouldnt be staying with them, right?) I think you will too.

This company was there for every reserved car i requested. Drivers polite and made sure i got to my destination on time!✌💙

Worst customer service Ive ever had with any type of company. Its always the same guy who answers the phone - rude as hell. He doesnt listen when you talk to him, rushes you off the phone and then hangs up on you before you finish talking. Im done..there are many other options like Long Island Taxi, Uber, Lyft...even long term parking options at airports are much better and you save so much money. Its too bad, because the drivers are nice - the cars are ancient and they smell, but Im done with the redness. Its not necessary.

Used to be very easy to work with and versatile but have begun to operate only out of reservations.

Unreliable.I use their service every now and then when my car is out for service. Most of the operators are rude. They act as if they are paying people for their services. The cars are stinky and unclean. They pick up multiple people at the same time which could cause you to be late if you have an appointment. They are slightly better than other taxi services in the area but they are still bad.

Cars are old but not too bad. Service is great, always on time to pick me up and go to the airport.

I called Arena at 6:30 am to get to my job at 7am this morning. I understand that it snowed and it was probably busy, but all I asked was if there was taxis and he practically screamed at me like I was stupid saying, No! Call back in an hour. Then hung up before I could say anything else. Mid Island was much nicer at saying they had a longer wait period. He didnt hang up on me. It just shows what kind of taxi service they are. I will no longer call arena. They are the same company yet, one has a nice guy and the other rude.

Called them at the last minute and the guy got a car to my house in 10 minutes! And I live a bit out of the way, so it was a relief to get a car when needed! Thanks!

Cars indeed do spell (like cigarettes) but they do often come on time and the drivers are actually really cool havent met a bad driver yet

Told him I needed a cab in Sea Cliff and he said he didn’t have anyone and didn’t know when he would.

Driving home at 2 in the morning on New Years and one of their cabs (#25) starts drifting into the right lane where we were driving (no signaling or speeding up to get ahead of us). There were no other cars on the road and there was no reason for them to drive like that. They could have caused an accident! Was the driver drunk?!
