Mid State Waste provides our residential trash pickup. I’ve been very happy with the level of communication of any adjustments that happen to our pickup schedule around holidays. Most recently we have experienced severe winter weather making roads unsafe. I’m thankful a company that provides service dependent on road conditions has chosen to have no pickup for one week in order to keep drivers safe. Customers were notified and extra trash will be accepted when routes resume.

We have had service with midstate for almost two months and only had our dumpster emptied like 4 times. Our pick up is Fridays but never on time. Always wait for the following week. And just like clock work, its Friday and once again trash can still full. Keep getting this ld maybe its blocked. Ive taken these pics so maybe someone can explain to me where the blockage is to the dumpster.

Once again its Friday and time to have my trash bin emptied. And wouldnt you guess what happened! Trash was not emptied!! I do not by any means recommend this trash service to anyone. Almost two months now and have not been able to have my bin emptied on the service day expect maybe twice. And only reason for that is because I have had to call them. They collect their money every time but wont collect the trash. If I hadnt paid so much for deposit and delivery fee I wouldve done told them to kick rocks.

I had been looking to change companies for a couple of weeks now and just happen to call Mid State. The young lady that answered the phone was extremely helpful.I could tell she was fairly young but she was an absolute doll.I believe her name wasBrittany. Nothing makes me madder than to call somewhere and ever whom may answer the phone, be rude or better yet have no clue what Im talking about. That didnt happen this time. Brittany was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would recommend Mid State to anybody. Now if we could just talk Barren Co, Monroe Co, Metcalf Co, Allen Co,etc into putting in multiple convenience centers around the counties, it would not only reduce the amount of garbage going to the landfill, these counties can make money on top of it. Weve got a detention center full of inmates from all over, you make the inmates work at the site at the landfill where all garbage is going. They tear open and separate the recyclables. Im from SC and the county Im from unfortunately was county with landfill. They finally got smart and are making a killing. Thank you Brittany for professionalism. I look forward to many yrs with yall.
I know this whole COVID is going on, but I’ve tried to make a payment and they keep refusing it because it’s in cash... if I write a check im touching it just like I would a check. It’s ridiculous.
Mid State Waste has been my trash collector for several years now. Great service, very clean, on time, and very informative. I would highly recommend them.

Very irresponsible company, they miss my trash, called right at 8:00 am and they said that they will sent someone over. Just got off the phone with them and they said everyone has gone home cant do nothing till next week. Meanwhile I am paying for services that are not being render. Also I ask if I go to the landfill and they reimburse what ever they charge and they said no. I have company over the weekend and I have a filled trash bin cause they also didnt emptied it last week.
If you cancel services or fail to pay on time (despite reaching out to inform them there will be a delay due to job loss), they will take your can and dump your trash out of the can onto the ditch. VERY unsanitary, horrible for nature and not at all respectful of customers. I had to pickup trash all along the highway and I live on a very busy road. I totally understand about ending services due to non-payment. Take the can, but dont just dump the trash out!! I switched to a competitor, but this still bothers me so posted my review. I hope they have since changed.

Always friendly at the office when I pay my bill, and have really appreciated the extra calls to notify us when service days will be changed for holidays.
So we have our personally owned garbage can disappear the night our garbage is picked up, at the same time we get a brand new garbage can from our garbage company Mid State Waste left there with our other cans. We ask for 3 weeks why the driver took our personal can and replaced it with a new can we did not request. Excuse after excuse as to why the driver cannot reply. After calling back the 4th time to ask why, my wife gets chewed out by the manager of Mid State for having two cans and only paying for one. They say it is not their fault that someone stole our can and replaced it with a brand new can that has never been assigned from their inventory... She then tells that this is a common occurrence for them to have their new garbage cans stolen from their inventory and swapped our for customers personal can. That is an incredible story to say the least.
Mid State Waste loves being a part of our community, from participating in the Christmas parade to volunteering to participate in community helpers week at local schools to sponsoring local youth in competitions.

If your moving to the area dont be enticed by the lower prices go with the competitor. I was highly unsatisfied with the service. The customer service sucked and the billing service is a joke.
